Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.

Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.

Community geometry covers Hromovka/Svatý Petr, Medvědín/Horní Mísečky, Labská, Stoh, Harmony and separate Davidovky. Planned Přehradní/Lesní links, the future gondola, private and neighbouring installations and disused ways are omitted. Several learning lifts and older map identities remain unmatched. Grey means the exact local colour is unconfirmed. Segments are not the resort inventory, current opening or navigation.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Hromovka and Svatý Petr

Access: Hromovka rises beside the town-side P 2 parking area. The original map shows links towards the Svatý Petr slopes and the innogy line chair to Pláň.

Svatý Petr has separate blue, red and black branches. Match the exact school meeting point and return to your chosen base.

02

Medvědín and Horní Mísečky

Access: P 3 is beside the Medvědín lower chair. Horní Mísečky is a separate road approach on the other side of the mountain, linked by its chair and marked pistes.

The two lower stations are not interchangeable drop-offs. Choose a return suited to your ability and confirm the last usable link.

03

Labská and the planned P1 connections

Access: Labská has its own lower chair beside the reservoir. The operator plans a P1–Hromovka chair and Lesní connection for December 2026, with a return gondola towards Medvědín only for 2027/28.

These are staged plans. Do not assume an operating two-way ski connection or a beginner return between the mountain sides.

04

Stoh, Harmony and Davidovky

Access: The official original marks separate local slopes and lifts, including the northern Davidovky installation. They are not one continuous ski circuit.

Check the individual operating status, pass coverage, grade and onward transport. Community geometry omits unconfirmed or disused installations.

01

Choose Hromovka/P 2 or Medvědín/P 3 before arrival

The town places P 2 beside Hromovka and P 3 beside the Medvědín chair. Svatý Petr and Horní Mísečky are different lower-base choices. Match your lesson, rental and return before selecting the drop-off; no parking space or step-free approach is established by the map.

02

Treat the P1 links as staged plans

The operator plans Lesní and the P1–Hromovka chair for December 2026. Its return gondola towards Medvědín is planned only for 2027/28. Confirm the actual outward link and onward transport; the new map does not establish a working two-way ski connection.

03

Plan the return to the exact starting side

Check your individual descent grade, last lift and onward bus before leaving the starting base. Do not assume a ski return from Svatý Petr to Medvědín through P1. The town’s published ski-bus calendar still covers 2025/26, so confirm the forthcoming return rather than reuse last winter’s times.

01 / FIELD OVERVIEW

Know the hill before the first lap.

A map-first guide to Špindlerův Mlýn, its separate bases, local piste grades, planned connections and practical winter journey.

Official 2026/27 original separates first-stage works from a future return gondola

Choose a mountain side and read each local branch

Špindlerův Mlýn is an alpine network around a valley town in the Krkonoše. Hromovka and Svatý Petr occupy one side; Medvědín and Horní Mísečky occupy the other. Labská, Harmony, Stoh and Davidovky have separate local approaches. This guide covers the alpine pistes and their practical connections, not the surrounding Nordic network or ski-touring itineraries.

The operator overview advertises about 27 km of downhill slopes separately from cross-country tracks. The official 2026/27 image also shows new connections and a future 2027/28 gondola. Neither that advertised distance nor the community geometry is a verified count of currently usable pistes. Its printed 702–1,235 m range is the map’s own resort reference, not a surveyed elevation for every descent.

The original key uses blue for easy, red for medium and black for difficult. The three selected Svatý Petr pistes are blue Turistická 4, red Červená FIS 5 and black FIS World Cup 6; adjoining 6a, 6b and 6c have their own colours. Hromovka II appears blue in the map legend but medium in the current table. Where sources differ, check local signs before choosing a marked piste variant.

Separate announced winter works from actual lift operation

The inspected operating table lists the innogy line Svatý Petr chair, the Medvědín and Hromovka chairs, the Svatý Petr–Černá chair, Horní Mísečky–Medvědín, Labská and several surface lifts. At this check the Medvědín chair was marked open, the other listed lifts closed and every downhill row closed. Snow-depth figures and a current update timestamp did not establish ski access. The generic 08:30–16:00 header is not a complete upcoming lift timetable.

The operator announces the official SkiOpening in Svatý Petr for 12 December 2026, and its construction page plans the new Audi Line Přehradní six-seat chair from P1 to Hromovka for December. It separately schedules a ten-seat P1–Medvědín gondola for winter 2027/28. The project FAQ says mountain conditions can change the programme. These are plans, not verified working connections at the research date.

The first stage is intended to permit travel from the Medvědín side via Lesní and P1 towards Hromovka. Do not infer the reverse ski journey before the later gondola is completed and operating. Confirm your exact day, open links, last boarding, permitted descent by lift and any night-skiing session with the operator. An opening celebration does not establish the first or final public ski day.

Choose your road, car park and bus for the starting base

The operator’s road approach follows route II/295 from Vrchlabí. The town places P 2 beside Hromovka, about 200 m from the centre, and P 3 beside the Medvědín chair, about 800 m from the centre. Horní Mísečky is a separate base on the far side of the mountain. Match accommodation, lesson and equipment collection before choosing a drop-off; the map marker identifies an approximate Hromovka lower station, not a parking space.

Town guidance describes a 15 November–30 April winter parking regime and free P 2/P 3 parking until 22:00, with other municipal areas charged. This is seasonal guidance, not a dated 2026/27 tariff or capacity guarantee. P1 is being changed by the connection project; its FAQ says a parking garage is not part of the current scheme. Check current works, overnight rules, payment and the walk to your exact lift before travelling.

The town’s ski-bus page still gives the 13 December 2025–15 March 2026 core period and later March end dates for some lines. Its four free lines serve the named valley bases, but these older timetables are not the 2026/27 transport plan. The resort also describes Prague buses and a CITY SKI package without an accepted forthcoming departure calendar. Check your date with the actual carrier, including return, luggage, ski-boot rules and boarding assistance; no complete current rail/coach chain is confirmed here.

Price the exact date and distinguish skiing from the opening-party ticket

The resort uses variable online ski-pass prices through Gopass. Its pricing explanation says demand, date, capacity and weather influence the quote. The currently linked ticket page exposes summer options rather than an accepted dated winter tariff. No verified ordinary 2026/27 day or multi-day price was obtained at this check. Choose the exact date, age category, product and card before payment; do not treat an undated starting price as your fare.

The official SkiOpening sales page starts at CZK 545 for its event offer. Its standard Public Tent ticket explicitly excludes a ski pass; the separate Ski & Party package includes a full-day ski pass for the event day. This is not an ordinary resort day-ticket quote. Confirm the selected option and its terms rather than assuming every event or sightseeing ticket permits skiing.

The newly linked transport rules are expressly valid from 1 December 2026. They describe non-transferable tickets, a CZK 50 refundable cash-desk chip-card deposit and defined product/area limits. They also set specific injury and all-lifts-stopped weather-voucher conditions; they do not promise reimbursement whenever one run closes. Review the actual Gopass cancellation terms and collection route for your purchase. The school FAQ says lesson prices exclude the ski pass once it is needed on the slopes.

Respect piste closures and the permitted uphill route

The operator’s current operational instructions permit ski touring only on Horní Mísečky–Vodovodní cesta 19 and prohibit it on other pistes. This does not establish unrestricted hours or permission for surrounding terrain. The published transport conditions valid from 1 December 2026 close downhill runs for grooming from 16:15 to 08:30, with exceptions for night skiing, FreshTrack and permitted morning training. Ask about the current authorised corridor and follow signs, staff and closure notices.

The same conditions require controlled speed, respect for people below, clear narrow stopping places and attention to marked snowmaking hazards. Their child-transport rule requires an accompanying person over 15 for children below six or below 125 cm, subject to the operator’s decision. Skol Max separately requires a helmet for every lesson. These are distinct transport and school rules, not one universal legal age rule.

Plan the return before leaving the starting side: a black branch, closed connecting lift or unfinished P1 link can change the journey. Do not enter construction areas or treat mapped geometry as navigation or an opening report. Horská služba’s own Krkonoše directory lists the Špindlerův Mlýn station at +420 602 448 338. Give the precise location when seeking assistance and check the current official emergency instructions before travel.

Arrange lessons, rental and assisted arrival for the chosen base

Skol Max describes ski and snowboard teaching across Svatý Petr, Medvědín, Harmony, Hromovka, Horní Mísečky and Labská. Its FAQ recommends booking the exact office, time and instructor language in advance. Beginner learning areas have conveyors included in the lesson; a ski pass becomes necessary when moving onto the slopes. Confirm equipment and meeting point separately rather than assuming a general resort booking covers every base.

The operator describes rental shops near lower stations and a ski-service point in Svatý Petr. These statements establish service types, not current winter opening, availability or prices. The named Spindl Motion price page presently describes summer equipment, so it is not a verified ski-rental quote. Confirm fitting, helmets, collection and return directly for the chosen winter date.

The forthcoming December transport conditions allow assisted chair boarding by arrangement: a person with reduced mobility needs an accompanying adult over 18, advance notice to staff and coordinated unloading. A ski wheelchair must fit the seat and needs the operator’s agreement. This does not verify a step-free chain from parking or bus through toilets and ticket collection to a suitable lesson. Arrange each part individually. The resort’s published information number is +420 499 467 101; its 08:30–16:00 information-centre hours are not lift hours.
