Erciyes alpine ski area

Choose Tekir, Develi, Hisarcık or Hacılar before setting out. The four road-side gates serve different lift and piste sectors, and the final connection back matters as much as the first ascent.

Scoped named alpine pistes and 14 operator-matched named passenger ways around Tekir, Develi, Hisarcık and Hacılar. Omit two insufficiently identified carpet ways and seven unnamed or generic learning/connector ways; carpets and several advertised branches remain missing. OSM lift-number prefixes differ from source inventories and are not adopted as operator references. Only unambiguous selected piste names 13, 2 and 8 receive exact operator blue, red and black; other lines remain grey, including the 13a map/table conflict and composite 1/1b geometry. Counts are community segments, not the advertised 41 pistes/19 installations, live opening or navigation. Unconfirmed: the official winter-map landing and its map control are verified, but the current artwork edition, full native rendering and lawful preview or reproduction basis remain unverified; operator artwork is not copied or embedded.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Tekir and Develi

Access: Tekir gondola serves the central lower slopes; Kültepe, Kaniş and Kartın provide separate Develi-side approaches on the official original.

The original shows blue 13 at Tekir and blue 16/19 branches near Develi, with red upper connections. Meet a school or rental provider at its exact gate rather than treating all four bases as interchangeable.

02

Hisarcık and upper Divan/Ottoman

Access: The original distinguishes the training T-bar, Sırt, Yalçın, Karakulak and Keven from the upper Divan/Ottoman chain.

Black 8 and upper black 14/17/18 are local difficult references; being able to use a lower learning slope does not establish ability or permission for the upper return.

03

Hacılar

Access: Lifos gondola starts at its separate road-side gate, with Hitit above the intermediate station.

The original shows blue 3, red 2/1b and black 1 branches. OSM merges parts of the differently graded 1/1b return under name 1, so that community line remains grey.

01

Start at the gate for the planned lesson and return

Tekir, Develi, Hisarcık and Hacılar are four distinct road-side starts. The pin marks the lower Tekir gondola, while the official original marks parking and services at several gates. Confirm the exact meeting point and final road-side approach; a parking symbol or disability concession does not prove a step-free transfer.

02

Check each connection before changing sector

The whole official map links the Tekir/Develi slopes with Hisarcık and the separate Hacılar side through named lifts and pistes. The operator says connection lifts can close earlier so guests can return to their cars or hotels. Check the exact open link and ability required before crossing into another sector; generic advertised hours do not guarantee a complete circuit.

03

Plan the return before the upper lifts close

The generic winter table closes upper Ottoman and Hitit at 15:00, Divan and Zümrüt at 15:30, and several lower lifts later; actual times may change. The advertised ring between gates is limited to winter weekends and the school holiday, with no dated 2026/27 departures accepted. Confirm final boarding and an independent road return before leaving the intended gate.

01 / FIELD OVERVIEW

A practical map-first guide to the marked alpine network on Erciyes, keeping local grades, four starting gates, old source editions and uncertain current operation visible.

Four gates and the local piste grades

Erciyes is a marked alpine network on the mountain above Kayseri, with distinct Tekir, Develi, Hisarcık and Hacılar starts. The municipality and operator describe 41 pistes and 112 km. Those advertised totals are separate from three selected references here and from community geometry; neither is a surveyed inventory or a statement that all terrain is open.

The operator literally identifies blue as Kolay, red as Orta and black as Zor. The inspected original and table agree on blue 13, red 2 and black 8. The table calls 13a easy while the artwork marks it red: preserve that discrepancy and leave its own-map line grey. OSM also groups a long differently graded 1/1b return under name 1; do not colour it as one uniform black piste. Nordic, summit, snowkite and off-piste activities are outside this alpine guide.

Named lifts, earlier connections and actual status

The operator describes 19 installations including two gondolas. Its detailed inventory has 14 named lift rows and five separate carpets: Lifos and Tekir gondolas, eleven chairs and the Hisarcık training T-bar. The scoped community map covers the 14 named passenger ways; insufficiently identified carpets are omitted, and source numbering is not transferred from inconsistent OSM prefixes.

The generic winter table lists Kültepe, Keven and Tekir gondola until 17:00, Lifos until 16:30, Ottoman and Hitit until 15:00, and Divan/Zümrüt until 15:30; other named lifts vary. These are planning hours, not a dated operating report. The scoped 31 October 2026 check lists every ski piste closed, while Tekir and Lifos gondolas are marked open; gondola operation alone does not establish skiing. Connection lifts can shut earlier, schedules may change after 1 March, and conditional Tekir piste 13 evening skiing until 20:00 is not a verified session for today.

Choose the gate, bus scope and assisted approach

The operator’s arrival page routes winter weekend buses from Kale Önü to the resort, with additional school-holiday operation. Its undated table lists outward departures between 08:30 and 11:30 and returns between 15:00 and 17:30. The ring between the four gates has the same limited-day scope but no accepted dated departure schedule. Do not treat either as confirmed daily 2026/27 transport or a dependable late return.

The arrival page names Yoğunburç Mini Terminal for Develi minibuses, while the FAQ names Seyid Burhaneddin stops; resolve the current boarding point before travel. The arrival page asks passengers to reserve a minibus return through 153. Airport-to-city connections are described generally, without a verified through-ski timetable. Current road conditions can alter or cancel services.

The official original marks parking and services at several gates but supplies no accepted current tariff or assured spaces. The approximate Tekir pin does not establish a bus stop, surveyed entrance or step-free route. The FAQ describes disability-card lift concessions and discretionary assistance for a companion; it does not establish an accessible chain from a vehicle through ticketing, boarding, toilets or lessons. Arrange the exact needs and return with the operator and provider.

Ascent-based tickets and old-edition prices

The inspected tariff explicitly remains 2025/26. It sells individual ascent packages rather than a general unlimited day pass: the old table shows TRY 120 for one skier ascent and TRY 1,500 for 14 for ages 13+, with TRY 100/1,000 for ages 0–12. These are previous-season examples, not accepted 2026/27 prices. The page also lists an initial card fee of TRY 50; confirm the new tariff and intended facility before buying.

The stated rules make tickets personal, prohibit sharing and require five minutes between consecutive use. Unused skier ascents do not carry into another season, and skier tickets cannot be used as pedestrian tickets. Pedestrian, carpet and summit products have distinct scopes. The old table’s free Hisarcık T-bar offer is specifically 2025/26, so no new-season free-use promise is made.

The tariff says sold tickets are nonrefundable/nonexchangeable and do not include personal insurance; weather closure can leave the same-season remaining-use option. Its lost-card replacement figure is TRY 100 with a serial-number receipt, while the FAQ still says TRY 40. Preserve this conflict and ask the ticket office for the actual applicable conditions rather than selecting the cheaper figure.

Open-piste boundaries, patrol and return limits

The resort rules direct skiers to marked open pistes and require closures, warnings and staff instructions to be followed. Stay away from closed and off-piste terrain, fenced planting areas and operating machinery. Groomers may work during opening hours and have priority. After-hours skiing is forbidden; do not infer uphill permission from a generic conduct rule about keeping to piste edges. Helmet use is required by the operator FAQ.

Children must be accompanied on lifts, passengers must follow boarding and restraint instructions, and beginners are directed to practise on learning carpets before using lifts. The rules require working ski brakes and snowboard retention straps. Patrol closes the piste behind the final skier; do not wait for the last advertised lower-lift time to begin a cross-sector return.

The FAQ gives 112 for medical emergencies and area-specific Jandarma references, plus the operator information line +90 352 342 3917. Its patrol headcount differs from the safety page, so no staffing or response-time guarantee is repeated. Weather, avalanche exposure, visibility and lift shutdowns remain mountain risks; this guide and community map provide planning context, not rescue or navigation assurance.

Independent lessons, private hire and exact contacts

The FAQ and original show cafés, restaurants, private hire businesses, lockers, changing facilities and other services around the four gates. Use the operator’s directories to choose the actual provider and exact meeting place; a map icon does not verify winter-date opening, equipment availability or individual accessibility. Mountain and city accommodation are different bases and can require an arranged transfer.

Snow Academia is the named school framework, but the current school page and FAQ explain that instructors are independent under the Kayseri ski/snowboard teachers’ association. Its displayed lesson prices still cover 2024/25. Confirm the instructor’s credentials, lesson language, age/ability, equipment and cancellation/return arrangements for the intended date; do not roll old fees into the coming season.

The operator contact page identifies Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş. at Hisarcık Mahallesi Mehmet Özhaseki Bulvarı No/1255, Melikgazi/Kayseri. Its public information line is +90 352 342 3917 and email is info@kayserierciyes.com.tr. These are factual contact references, not evidence that an enquiry has been sent or that the operator approved this profile.
