Plan Schlick 2000 from Fulpmes with an independent downhill map, Froneben and upper-sector orientation, practical tickets and return advice, and clear limits on current skiing and retained timetable information.
070MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore the independent community map and practical starting bases. Read the coverage limits and check current opening and access with the operator.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Unconfirmed: the operator map page is linked separately, but a current artwork edition and lawful inline preview have not been verified; no operator artwork is reproduced in this guide. The independent map covers available downhill centrelines and passenger alignments from Fulpmes through Froneben to Kreuzjoch, Sennjoch, Zirmach and Galtberg. It excludes neighbouring Axamer terrain, piste-area boundary polygons, explosive/technical lines, speed and mogul attractions, private/inactive/proposed objects and freeride/backcountry routes. Community names and older references may differ from current signs; unnamed corridors remain unnamed and unverified colours grey. Segments do not establish the full resort inventory, actual skiing, safe connections, access entitlement or navigation.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Lower Kreuzjochbahn and the mid-station learning area
Confirm transfer, lesson meeting point and learning-zone entitlement.
Access: Upper Kreuzjoch section and community Panoramabahn, Sennjoch and Zirmach corridors
Check signed open links and a suitable return before changing sectors.
Access: Separate Galtbergbahn corridor from the Froneben area
Product entitlement and permitted connections require local confirmation; community geometry is not a live report.
The pin is near the lower Kreuzjochbahn terminal. The operator’s address is Tschaffinis Umgebung 26. Confirm parking or the last town-to-lift transfer and whether lessons or equipment collection are at the base or Froneben.
Community lines show the two Kreuzjoch stages, upper Panoramabahn/Sennjoch/Zirmach corridors and Galtbergbahn. Ask staff which signed open connections match your ability and ticket. A mapped line gives no freeride or uphill permission.
Published winter descent times are 16:00 from Kreuzjoch and 16:30 from Froneben; other lifts are listed to close at 16:00. Confirm a suitable open descent or permitted download and a separate ground connection. The retained 2025/26 bus timetable is historical.
01 / FIELD OVERVIEW
Schlick 2000 alpine guide: independent map, Fulpmes and Froneben access, ticket conditions, winter transport, safety and explicit season/timetable limits.
Independent whole-area downhill orientation
Fulpmes base and Froneben learning-area planning
Visible season, tariff and historical-bus limits
Schlick 2000 is the managed alpine ski area reached from Fulpmes in the Stubai Valley. This guide covers its downhill corridors, passenger lifts and Froneben learning area. Stubai Glacier, Serlesbahnen and Elferbahnen are separate areas even where a wider pass includes them. Touring, freeride routes, winter walks and night tobogganing have separate conditions.
Conflicting sources: the operator’s skiing page advertises 23 descents and 25 km, while its homepage also retains a 22 km statement. These are published claims with different retained wording, not an independently reconciled inventory. The independent map’s way segments are neither piste counts nor surveyed distances.
Use the actual local blue, red and black piste signs and the separate ski-route designation. Their difficulty is local; a community difficulty tag is not converted into a universal colour. This map leaves unverified piste colours grey and omits freeride/backcountry routes.
Historical: Rafał Klisowski photographed this Schlick 2000 ski-area scene on 22 February 2009. The original JPEG is unchanged; responsive display crops are shared under CC BY-SA 3.0. It does not establish current snow, installations or availability.
The operator’s lift table separates Kreuzjochbahn I and II, Galtbergbahn, Panoramabahn, Sennjochbahn, Zirmachbahn, Schlickerboden, Schanzlin and the children’s facilities. Community geometry shows the two Kreuzjoch sections between Fulpmes, Froneben and the upper area, with separate Galtberg and upper chairlift corridors. A listed or mapped installation does not prove today’s service.
The 2026/27 hours page lists the first Kreuzjoch ascent at 08:30, last descent from Kreuzjoch at 16:00 and from Froneben at 16:30; it lists 16:00 closing for other lifts. These are published winter planning times. The same page expressly makes the 28 November 2026 start tentative and dependent on snow; the listed season end is 11 April 2027.
Unconfirmed: current skiing, individual open runs/lifts, permitted equipment download and a complete suitable return have not been independently established. The homepage closure notice carries a 19 October 2026 update, and a tentative season date cannot establish a future operating boundary. Check the current report and staff instructions before boarding.
The operator gives Tschaffinis Umgebung 26, 6166 Fulpmes as the ski-centre address. Its road approach uses the A13 Schönberg/Stubai exit, then the valley road past Mieders towards Fulpmes. Allow for tolls, winter road conditions, equipment collection and the final approach; the source’s approximate driving time from Innsbruck is not a journey guarantee.
For public transport, the operator describes Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof to Fulpmes by bus or Stubaitalbahn, then a local transfer to the valley station. A town stop or the map pin does not establish a direct accessible connection to a lift.
Historical: the retained ski-bus page is explicitly for 2025/26. It describes local lines 1, 3 and 5, Neustift line 2 and the Innsbruck/Schönberg/Mieders connection, with a change in Fulpmes. Those routes and its downloadable timetables do not establish winter 2026/27 departures, entitlement or the last return.
Unconfirmed: the current winter bus timetable, exact fares, parking capacity/charges and a step-free final transfer are not established. The parking page supplied no substantive arrangements. Check the actual travel date in the carrier planner, confirm the correct stop and reserve enough time for the final lift and ground connection.
The detailed rate tables list 28 November–19 December 2026 pre-season, 20 December 2026–27 February 2027 high season and 28 February–11 April 2027 low season. The adult full-day high-season row is EUR 61.50 with the Stubai guest card; the source adds a EUR 2 keycard deposit and says rates without the guest card are about 10% higher. These are attributed advertised conditions, not a quote for an unspecified customer or date.
The page distinguishes Schlick-only passes up to 3½ days from the four-day-and-longer Stubai Skipass covering the separately operated valley areas. Beginner, pedestrian and touring products have narrower entitlements. Night tobogganing, night shows and special trips are excluded from the ordinary ski pass; a multi-area ticket does not create a physical ski connection.
Conflicting sources: the rate page retains a 2025/26 title, 2024/25 navigation dates and older age/category wording alongside its detailed 2026/27 tables. Its under-ten concession and birth-year rows are not fully reconciled. Confirm the exact age proof, eligible accompaniment, guest-card rule, chosen dates and final total before payment.
The operator’s terms make cards personal and describe different loss, accident, illness and closure provisions, including no refund for a one-day ticket. Read the full applicable product contract rather than treating a partial example or old monetary illustration as a current guarantee.
The operator limits patrol supervision to marked open ski and sled runs during the relevant lift’s operating hours, and lists a final check at 16:30. Ski with control, choose speed for visibility, terrain and ability, respect slower people and obey signs and closures. Do not enter forests or use a closed piste as a return shortcut.
The touring page expressly excludes uphill travel on narrow valley run 16. Its separate ascent alternatives are not routes offered by this downhill guide. Do not infer uphill, freeride or off-piste permission from a community line, a touring-equipment rental or the existence of a lift.
The terms warn that pistes and ski routes close after the final control run because of grooming, winch cables, snowmaking and other work. The published safety page prohibits walking and sledding on ski pistes; any specifically authorised night activity needs its own current instructions.
For an accident, alert lift or summit-station staff and identify the run and nearest clear landmark; the operator requires reporting, assistance and identification. Unconfirmed: actual patrol deployment, rescue charges, individual assistance and a safe complete descent or authorised download are not established. Resolve the return before ascending and follow staff if weather or closures change it.
The operator lists HP-Sports rental and depot at the Schlick parking area, with published winter rental hours of 08:00–18:00. It describes online reservation, fitting and a depot for its own rented equipment. Confirm the actual collection point, package contents, price, fitting time and return deadline; rental desk hours do not extend lift operation.
The school directory lists Schischule Stubai Tirol and Schischule Fulpmes. Agree the learner’s level, age, lesson language and exact meeting point, especially if meeting at Froneben rather than in the village. Establish separately whether equipment, lift travel and learning-area admission are included.
The ski-centre contact page lists +43 5225 62270 and info@schlick2000.at. These are published contact details, not tested response channels. The general tourism office and the ski operator have separate responsibilities.
Unconfirmed: available lesson places, rental stock, individual adaptive equipment, accessible parking-to-lift transfer, lift boarding assistance and current restaurant/service hours have not been established. Arrange the entire visit and return directly for the actual date rather than assuming that a general family-area description guarantees access.
Selected historical name and local-grade references only. The coverage note explains the unavailable current official plan. This list establishes neither the full inventory nor current opening or access.
