Explore the independent community map and practical starting bases. Read the coverage limits and check current opening and access with the operator.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
This independent ODbL map covers reviewed managed-downhill references and named passenger alignments around Snezhanka, Malina, Studenets, Tourist Center and Stoykite. Mechi Chal, Nordic/touring terrain, dedicated parks, unnamed connections, unconfirmed learning objects and community-disused Smolyan Lakes geometry are excluded. Grey pistes have no verified literal local colour; community difficulty is never converted into a universal colour. Segments are not the operator inventory. Lines do not establish present skiing, grooming, patrol, access, carriage or a suitable final return. The snapshot clock uses the canonical OSM API HTTP response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp. Unconfirmed: the official interactive map page does not provide a legally verified current plan or working preview in this review; no operator artwork or edition is reproduced. The operator’s winter map landing page exposes its map.pamporovo.me service. Open the operator page to consult it. The current artwork edition and preview/reproduction rights remain unconfirmed; this link does not establish current skiing or reproduce operator artwork.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Separate lower Tourist Center approach and higher Studenets square.
Match the booked lift, rental and meeting point; do not rely on center numbers alone.
Access: Malina rental/learning base and named summit alignment.
Confirm the actual open suitable connection and return before boarding.
Access: Separate named Stoykite–Snezhanka passenger alignment.
Agree the complete suitable downhill or authorized lift return with staff.
Malina is the principal rental/learning base described by the operator; Tourist Center and Studenets square are distinct. The pin uses a community lift endpoint. Confirm the booking meeting point, equipment collection, parking and actual walk before departure.
Named passenger alignments connect Malina, Studenets and Stoykite with the Snezhanka side. Confirm each open signed suitable connection before changing sectors. Mechi Chal is a separate road transfer; no ski-lift connection is established.
Unconfirmed: individual final boarding, suitable downhill chains, passenger download and current final shuttles are not established. Agree the complete return to your actual base with staff before boarding, including equipment return. Historical hotel or Mechi Chal PDFs do not guarantee the current last bus.
01 / FIELD OVERVIEW
Independent Pamporovo ski guide with a scoped ODbL map, genuine archive winter photograph, six practical sections and visible limits on current skiing, dated offers and the final return.
Separate Malina, Studenets, Tourist Center and Stoykite bases
Dated Select offer and historical terms kept distinct
Mechi Chal is a road transfer, with current final bus unconfirmed
Pamporovo’s managed alpine ski area lies around Snezhanka in Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains. The operator describes about 37 km of slopes. This guide covers the Pamporovo mountain and its passenger-lift access, with separate starting points at the Tourist Center, Malina, Studenets and Stoykite. Mechi Chal near Chepelare is a separate mountain reached by road; the proposed physical integration is not an existing ski-lift connection.
The operator’s slope table has 20 numbered Pamporovo entries, plus Snow Fun Park and two children’s areas, followed by four separately identified Mechi Chal entries. Its local text labels include Absolute Beginners, Beginners and advanced, Advanced and Professional; one Mechi Chal row uses Intermediate. Those labels and the signed local colours need to be read in their own context. No universal grade conversion or resort-wide inventory is inferred from community way segments.
The independent map retains sourced managed-downhill references around Snezhanka, Malina, Studenets and Stoykite. Dedicated parks, unnamed connections, the separate Mechi Chal mountain, the community-disused Smolyan Lakes alignment and unconfirmed learning installations are omitted. Generic community difficulty tags remain grey. A mapped segment does not establish grooming, patrol, permission or suitability for a particular skier.
Historical: Красимир Косев’s genuine 28 January 2010 Pamporovo photograph shows a snowy managed slope and resort buildings. It is archive context, not evidence of present snow, current installations, an open descent or the complete network.
The operator lists Ski Center 1–Studenets, Studenets–Snezhanka, Malina–Studenets, Malina–Snezhanka, Stoykite–Snezhanka and Arch. Peter Petrov–Snezhanka passenger alignments. It also lists Smolyan Lakes, named tow lifts and learning carpets. The Tourist Center approach, Malina learning/rental base and higher Studenets square serve different purposes. Confirm the exact lift and meeting point attached to a lesson or rental booking.
Conflicting sources: the operator still lists the Smolyan Lakes chair and slope, while the checked community geometry marks those alignments disused. They are omitted from this independent map; neither source establishes their actual current commissioning. The public ski-center tab also calls both Studenets and Stoikite “Ski Center 3”, so use the place name rather than relying on that number alone.
Historical: the retained terms announced on 10 December 2025 give general ski-run, lift and ticket-office hours of 08:30–16:30. They also require entrance boards to show final passenger admission, patrol and maintenance times. Those previous-season general hours are not a verified 2026/27 timetable. The new Select Sunday Morning product’s 08:45–12:45 window is a product restriction, not a timetable for every lift.
Unconfirmed: current skiing, a confirmed 2026/27 operating calendar, individual lift cutoffs, authorized passenger download and the complete suitable final downhill return are not established. Before boarding or changing sectors, ask staff for the last safe departure, every required open connection and the return to your actual base. A summit line or ticket sale does not promise an open route or a lift ride down.
The operator’s arrival guidance approaches the resort through the Plovdiv–Asenovgrad–Chepelare corridor or from Smolyan. Use an independently checked route and the actual booked base for navigation. The location pin here is derived from the community Malina–Snezhanka lower-station reference; it is not a surveyed doorway, a guaranteed parking space or an accessible drop-off.
Historical: the linked hotel shuttle file is named for March 2025/26 and limits transport to Perelik and Orlovetz hotel guests carrying hotel key cards. Its printed returns from Ski Centers 1 and 2 run through 17:00. It is not evidence of a current public service or a 2026/27 final bus. The separate Mechi Chal PDF prints a 09:00 Malina departure and 16:30 return from Mechi Chal but has no verified 2026/27 operating edition.
Unconfirmed: the current ski-bus dates, exact stop access, equipment carriage, eligibility, final return and winter parking arrangements are not established. Confirm both journeys and any road restrictions before travelling. The operator’s new pass bonus applies only when Chepelare is open and does not guarantee a shuttle. Do not ski toward Mechi Chal or treat its road distance as a marked piste connection.
Unconfirmed: current international flight services and border-route claims in the general arrival article have not been independently verified. This guide does not repeat those flight, border or journey-time promises. Check the actual transport operator and road authority for your travel date, allowing time for mountain conditions and the walk to the booked ski service.
The operator’s 15 October 2026 announcement offers Select passes for purchase through 15 November 2026. It quotes a one-day product at €31 for children described as up to 12, €42 for young people described as up to 21, and €50 for adults aged 22 and over. These are attributed dated advance-sale prices, not an evergreen walk-up tariff or a guarantee of checkout availability. Select begins on first turnstile use and then runs for the purchased consecutive period.
The announcement distinguishes weekday and unlimited season passes and the Sunday Morning Select window of 08:45–12:45. It describes online purchase/reloading, QR collection at machines or offices and reloading an existing WTP card. Check the precise product, named user, date restrictions and collection method before paying; a lift-only pass does not automatically include equipment, lessons, childcare or every learning carpet.
Conflicting sources: the 2026/27 announcement broadly grants Chepelare use whenever that area is open, while the retained ski-area terms exclude half-day, half-day Select and Sunday Morning Select from the Mechi Chal bonus. The old online terms specify child ages 7–11.99 and youth 12–21.99, whereas the new announcement uses “up to 12” for children. Obtain written product-specific clarification for the intended age and half-day entitlement before buying; this guide does not resolve those differences by assumption.
Historical: the online sales conditions explicitly apply to winter 2025/26 from 10 December 2025, and the linked ski-area terms include 2025/26 prices and deposits. Their no-change, non-use, weather-closure and refund wording must not be silently applied as verified 2026/27 terms. Unconfirmed: complete current cancellation, transfer, compensation, card-deposit and under-seven/learning-carpet conditions are not established. Obtain the terms for the actual current offer in checkout or from the operator; no structured price Offer is asserted here.
The retained ski-area rules require compliance with entrance boards, barriers, lift staff and ski patrol. They describe closures for weather, avalanche danger, maintenance, rescue, competitions and training, including work during opening hours. Stay on signed open managed terrain, choose a suitable local grade, control speed and keep clear of maintenance vehicles and closed sections. This guide provides no backcountry, touring or out-of-hours itinerary.
Historical: the published 2025 terms prohibit skiing outside working hours, use while visibly affected by alcohol or drugs, mountain biking on ski runs and inappropriate pedestrian/sledge use. They require approved helmets in designated snow parks and separate those areas from the normal pistes. This map excludes dedicated parks; a general pass or visible terrain feature does not authorize entering a closed park or leaving managed slopes.
The rules identify the Bulgarian Red Cross Mountain Rescue Service and give local contacts +359 309 58336 and +359 887 100245; ski patrol is listed as +359 879 030040. Report an accident promptly, give the signed piste/reference and location, and follow the current entrance-board emergency instructions. These are published contacts in the retained rules, not personally tested lines or a response-time guarantee. Ask staff for the day’s actual first-aid arrangements before departure.
Unconfirmed: current route-specific uphill permission, out-of-hours access, snowpark availability, emergency response capacity and visit-specific assisted evacuation are not established. The retained terms also distinguish limited on-piste assistance/transport cover from broader accident, medical or repatriation insurance and exclude off-piste/park scope in places. Confirm the actual current policy and personal cover; do not infer comprehensive insurance from owning a pass.
The ski-zone service tabs describe operator rentals beside the ticket counters at Tourist Center, Malina and Studenets. Malina has separate rental rooms and a snowboard area; Studenets equipment is described behind the ticket counters. Reserve the required ski/boot/pole or snowboard package, ask whether the helmet is included, allow time for fitting and agree the actual return point and deadline. Historic inventory quantities do not guarantee today’s size or stock.
The school offers private and group ski/snowboard lessons and packages combining instruction with passes and, in some products, equipment. Its described three- or six-day groups start on Mondays at 09:00 at Rental 1, Malina. Treat that as the published programme description and confirm the booked winter date, discipline, level, instructor language and exact meeting point. General enquiries use 0700 17 702 within Bulgaria; the school lists +359 882 886443.
Conflicting sources: the general ski-zone text describes kindergarten ages 4–7, while the school tab refers to the youngest children as 4–5 and separately describes ages 7–12. Confirm the precise programme’s minimum age, supervision, toilet/lunch arrangements, equipment and collection terms directly. A children’s Fun Zone, kindergarten, lesson and learning-carpet ticket are distinct products.
Unconfirmed: current rental/lesson/childcare prices and conditions, adaptive equipment, step-free transfers, independent lift boarding and a complete assisted return are not established. Discuss individual needs and support-person entitlement before booking. The operator’s administrative address is Hotel Perelik, Pamporovo, and the retained terms publish marketing@pamporovo.me for enquiries; that office is not a ski-base entrance or emergency service.
Selected historical name and local-grade references only. The coverage note explains the unavailable current official plan. This list establishes neither the full inventory nor current opening or access.
