HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Annupuri

Access: Separate western base and gondola; use open authorised links.

Wide lower learning pistes and locally graded upper runs.

02

Niseko Village

Access: Niseko Gondola base near Hilton; separate lower hotel-area infrastructure.

Wooded pistes and specially controlled Mizuno-no-Sawa terrain.

03

Grand Hirafu

Access: Ace/.Base and King/Mountain Center arrival areas.

Village services, learning slopes and demanding upper terrain.

04

Hanazono

Access: Hanazono 308 and the eastern resort base.

Learning areas, chairlift-served pistes and Symphony Gondola.

01

Choose your starting base

Choose Annupuri, Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu or Hanazono as your arrival base. The Hirafu planning pin represents one part of the network, not a common entrance.

02

Understand the connections

The four resorts retain their own bases, services and operating scopes. Use open authorised mountain links and check the applicable lift and pass before moving between them.

03

Plan the return

Check the final return to your own resort and any shuttle you intend to use. Closed gates and permanent exclusions remain closed; the map grants no backcountry or uphill permission.

Four resorts, local grades and selected pistes

Niseko United links Annupuri, Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu and Hanazono on the slopes of 1,308 m Niseko Annupuri in Hokkaido. They retain separate bases, services and operating decisions. Lower learning slopes, wooded pistes and demanding upper terrain coexist; crossing the mountain depends on the actual open lifts and connections. Nearby Moiwa and the wider touring mountains are separate places.

The inspected official 2026/27 network map uses green for easiest, red for more difficult and black for most difficult. Dotted shading for ungroomed terrain, boundary lines, gates and permanently excluded valleys have separate meanings. These local grades are relative to this mountain. A red Niseko piste is not assigned an equivalent grade in another country.

Four selected named pistes are counted here: green Family in Annupuri, red Junkyard in Niseko Village, red Rinkan in Grand Hirafu and black Legend of Shinya in Hanazono. This is a small inspected selection, not the network inventory. No measured length, present grooming or opening is claimed. Use the native map and current signs when planning connections.

Separate lift networks and return planning

Annupuri lists a six-person gondola, two quad chairs and three pair chairs. Grand Hirafu’s current operator page lists nine installations, including the ten-person Ace Gondola, eight-person King Gondola and new Ace 3rd Quad. The network status page still calls the latter a pair lift; the current Hirafu page and dated map establish the newer installation. Nine installations do not mean nine gondolas.

Hanazono has three chairlifts and Symphony Gondola. Its 2026/27 overview gives general resort hours of 08:30–16:30 and planned night skiing 16:00–20:00. The ticket page instead refers to lifts until 16:00 and the gondola until 19:00, while the shared status feed retains a different gondola time. Confirm the actual lift and last return rather than choosing one closing time for the whole resort.

Niseko Village’s pass PDF advertises seven lifts, whereas the network map/status lists additional named installations; the same PDF’s 29-lift/60-run network claim has a different scope. No reconciled total is adopted here. Village winter hours remain subject to operator confirmation. The 28 October Hirafu page showed its lifts suspended/closed and Hanazono’s course page showed closed rows; blank network fields are not live confirmation for the other areas. Allow a bus return when upper links close.

Airport coach, local transfers and assisted arrival

Choose the actual resort base before booking. The current Hokkaido Resort Liner New Chitose–Niseko product schedules outbound services for 1 December 2026–30 March 2027 and return services for 2 December–31 March, with shorter windows for selected buses. Its inspected artwork shows different stops by bus number: only selected journeys serve the Hanazono hotels. The quoted Niseko fare is JPY 6,000 for ages 12+ and JPY 5,000 for ages 3–11; under-threes travel free without a seat.

Reservations are required. The carrier asks airport passengers to check in 15 minutes before departure and other passengers 10 minutes before departure. Its minimum flight connections are 45/90 minutes after domestic/international arrivals and 60/120 minutes before departures. These are carrier limits, not a guarantee against delays. Cancellation charges rise from 30% at seven to two days before travel to 40% the day before, 50% before travel on the day and 100% after commencement. Confirm the exact booking, luggage and meeting point; the live calendar is a separate availability check.

The network’s airport tables still identify themselves as 2025/26 data. Its linked 2026/27 inter-resort shuttle PDF gives 28 November–4 April service, with extra winter-evening runs, but carries a future 28 November amendment label at this check. Hanazono’s page combines a 2026/27 period with 2025/26 map/night notes. Treat both as forward planning and recheck the final timetable. Scanning an eligible All Mountain day/hour pass can consume a day or hour; pay the bus fare if you do not wish to activate it.

Rail travel uses the Sapporo/Otaru corridor toward Kutchan or Niseko followed by a separately arranged bus or taxi; Hirafu’s access page gives approximate journeys, not a dated rail connection. Snow and road conditions can extend any transfer. For an assisted journey, confirm wheelchair carriage, boarding equipment, winter surfaces and the final lesson meeting point with each provider. Annupuri’s equipment rules permit specified chair-ski use subject to loading and skiing requirements; this does not establish a step-free coach or suitability of every lift.

All Mountain and smaller pass scopes

The 2026/27 All Mountain tariff covers all four resorts. Adult one-day counter prices are JPY 13,500 for 24 December–28 February, JPY 12,600 for 12–23 December and 1–22 March, JPY 8,800 in early/spring periods and JPY 6,300 in the final period. Planned operating dates differ between resorts, so a longer network tariff season does not keep every sector open.

The narrower Hirafu–Hanazono pass excludes Village and Annupuri. The inspected peak-season control shows adult one-day JPY 12,500 at the counter or JPY 11,800 online; the All Mountain row shows JPY 13,500/12,800. Hirafu’s booking links still say coming soon, while Hanazono links its own shop. Displayed online prices do not prove inventory or a completed purchase. Hanazono specifies a JPY 500 initial online keycard charge; confirm card and product conditions at the actual seller.

Annupuri-only adult day tickets are JPY 7,800 peak and JPY 7,500 regular, with separate lower-season prices. Village-only prices are JPY 10,700 peak, JPY 10,200 regular and JPY 7,200 off-season. Those products cannot be treated as All Mountain passes. Multi-day validity is generally consecutive under the relevant terms; check ages, night entitlement, refund rules and any companion concession before paying. A sightseeing gondola return is a separate product.

Boundaries, gates, uphill access and patrol

Use open marked terrain and obey patrol, closures and slow zones. Niseko Rules require backcountry access through designated open gates, prohibit ducking boundary ropes and forbid entry to permanently excluded areas. A gate, a track or a beacon does not make terrain safe. Consult current official avalanche information and obtain appropriate local guidance; off-piste rescue can be chargeable.

The map identifies permanent Yuno Sawa and Haru no taki exclusions separately from the controlled Mizuno-no-Sawa area. Village’s Gate 11 document describes special advanced/expert access, rather than an ordinary groomed piste. Follow the current gate and patrol instructions.

Hanazono prohibits entering closed courses and climbing into a closed ski area; its terms require immediate accident reporting to patrol or resort staff. Hirafu and Annupuri tell people walking or climbing on an open slope to use its edge, but that conduct rule is not general ski-touring permission. Confirm any proposed uphill route and timing with the responsible operator. Avoid grooming machinery and closures. In an accident, alert nearby patrol/lift staff and identify the actual resort, piste and lift; patrol locations are marked on the official map.

Lessons, equipment and individual access needs

Each base has its own ticketing, rentals, lessons and food services. Hanazono 308 is the principal information and activity base; its current winter overview lists resort enquiries and lessons on +81 136-21-6688. Hirafu’s public general number is +81 136-22-0109, Annupuri’s is +81 136-58-2080 and Village’s current winter catalogue lists +81 136-44-2211. These are general enquiry contacts, not a claimed universal emergency dispatch.

Village’s 2026/27 catalogue separates lessons, equipment hire and lift passes; a lesson does not include the latter two automatically. Hirafu lists .Base, Mountain Center and the Ace Family ticket area with different seasonal counter periods; Welcome Center ticketing is for online collection rather than normal counter sales. Check the chosen base and date before arranging equipment pickup.

Annupuri publishes specific chair-ski loading conditions and asks anyone concerned about lift boarding to seek staff assistance. Arrange adaptive equipment, qualified instruction, support-person needs, vehicle transfers and suitable toilets directly for the individual visit. No complete accessible route or general disability discount has been established for this four-resort network. Reserve winter services separately; a listed service and an archive photograph do not prove availability today.
