Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Community alpine-piste and verified passenger-lift geometry across the front, east, west and summit-access sectors. Backcountry/extreme terrain and area outlines are excluded. Two older unidentified carpet names are omitted; Chipmunk is not confirmed in this dataset. Unmatched pistes stay grey. Segments are not the official inventory, opening report or navigation.
Access: Mountain Gateway and West Village Lodge sit below Pine Marten, Little Pine and Red Chair; Skyliner has its own lower parking approach.
Teaching terrain and frontside pistes serve different ability levels. Confirm the actual lesson base and open return.

Sunrise and eastside
Access: Sunrise Lodge is the base for Early Riser, Alpenglow, Sunrise and Rainbow; Cloudchaser extends farther around the east flank.
The map identifies West Village Getback, Sunrise Getback and Cloudchaser Crossover. Their presence does not establish current access or an assisted transfer.
03
Outback, Northwest and summit
Access: Outback and Northwest serve the west side; Summit is a separate upper-mountain chair.
Check the actual return connection, closures and last boarding before leaving your base sector. Extreme and backcountry terrain are outside the community map scope.
01
Start at your actual meeting base
Mountain Gateway and West Village Lodge are below Pine Marten and Little Pine. Sunrise Lodge serves a different beginner and eastside base; Skyliner has its own parking approach. Match your lesson, rental and return stop before setting out.
02
Check the open connection before changing sides
Pine Marten and Skyliner serve the frontside; Sunrise and Cloudchaser extend east, Outback and Northwest west. Summit is a separate upper chair. The original names crossover and getback routes, but current opening and ability determine whether they are usable.

Return to the base where your day ends
Locate the correct West Village or Sunrise return before leaving the sector. Ask staff about open returns, final lift boarding and permitted download; confirm the separate interlodge or CET departure. Pending winter timetables are not guaranteed by older map or shuttle hours.
A map-first practical guide to Mt. Bachelor: two starting bases, sector connections, local piste symbols and conditional winter planning.
West Village and Sunrise are distinct starting bases
Frontside, eastside, westside and separate summit sectors
Official winter map retains its 2025/26 edition
Two bases, a volcanic summit and local trail symbols
Mt. Bachelor is an alpine ski resort west of Bend in Oregon’s Central Cascades. West Village is the main Mountain Gateway base; Sunrise is a separate base farther east, and Skyliner has its own parking approach. The mountain’s Nordic centre has a different trail network and ticket scope. This guide does not treat Nordic trails, backcountry gates or the surrounding national forest as alpine pistes.
Historical: The actual linked winter plan is the 2025/26 original, as identified by its filename and document metadata. Its legend uses green circles for Easier, blue squares for More Difficult, black diamonds for Most Difficult and double-black symbols for Extreme Terrain. Marshmallow, Thunderbird and Devil’s Backbone are three selected locally graded references. These symbols are relative to this mountain, not a conversion to another country’s grading system.
Conflicting sources: The operator statistics page advertises 4,323 skiable acres, 9,065 feet at the top and 5,700 feet at the lowest point. Its 124-run figure differs from the map landing page’s 135 and the rendered status summary’s 123. The status lift summary counts 12, while the detailed list contains 14 rows including carpets. Keep those scopes separate: community way segments and three selected names are not a resort inventory.
Separate summit access and a pending winter timetable
Pine Marten Express and Little Pine start at West Village, with Red Chair nearby. Skyliner Express is a six-person chair; the current statistics identify Pine Marten, Sunrise, Cloudchaser, Outback, Northwest and Summit as high-speed quads. Alpenglow, Rainbow and Red Chair are triples, while Early Riser is a quad. The official plan separately marks Lava Tube and lesson-only Chipmunk carpets.
Unconfirmed: The winter hours page currently says the resort is closed until opening scheduled for 4 December, conditions permitting, and that 26/27 hours are coming soon. The rendered lift report nevertheless shows individual 09:00 starts and varying afternoon times, including Summit at 15:00, with Red Chair limited to selected days. These rows do not override the closure or establish a complete forthcoming winter timetable.
Conflicting sources: The mountain report says earlier opening is possible if conditions permit. The 26/27 sales terms describe a planned late-November to late-May season at the operator’s discretion, which is broader than the current 4 December target. No exact 2027 closing date is confirmed here. Check open installations, download permission, return links and final boarding on the day; the presence of a lift on either map is not evidence it is running.
Choose your base, then verify the winter bus and transfer
The operator locates the mountain at 13000 SW Century Drive. Its winter directions say Century Drive ends at West Village; the continuing summer Cascade Lakes route is not a winter through-road. Select West Village, Sunrise or Skyliner for your actual lesson, rental and return plan, and check current road restrictions before driving. Redmond is the regional airport connection; no train-to-lift or guaranteed airport transfer is asserted.
Historical: General parking in the three named lots is advertised as free and first come, first served. Limited premium reservations are a separate product: the detailed page still lists 2025/26 holiday periods, April 2026 end dates and USD 20–50 tiers. Those are not confirmed 26/27 prices or availability. The operator describes a free interlodge shuttle from Mountain Gateway, Sunrise’s middle lot and the Skyliner restroom area; its published 08:15–16:15 weekday and 17:00 weekend hours have no verified new-season edition.
Historical: Cascades East Transit links Bend’s Hawthorne Station and the Mt. Bachelor Park & Ride with West Village and Sunrise. At this check its winter page still announces service ending 20 April 2026 and supplies no accepted 26/27 departure table; the resort’s USD 10 round-trip quote is expressly labelled Summer. Do not carry either into the next winter. The carrier describes an ADA-accessible bus, but that does not verify the snow-surface transfer, lift boarding or personal assistance. Arrange the complete journey and equipment needs individually with CET, the resort and, where relevant, Oregon Adaptive Sports.
Dated access products, restrictions and unresolved checkout
Unconfirmed: The current 26/27 ticket page advertises single days from USD 99 and multi-day products from USD 85 per day when bought ahead. These are starting prices, not a verified fare for a chosen visit. Its actual Buy Now destination returned 403 during this check; no dated checkout price, available inventory or completed booking is claimed. The separate USD 99 Thursday offer covers January, February and March 2027, subject to its product terms.
The 26/27 terms require a visit date for single-day tickets and describe lift tickets as non-refundable and non-transferable. Children aged five and under need a free ticket collected at an open window. The Kids Ski Free promotion is a different product: ages 6–12 accompany selected advance adult 3-of-5, 4-of-6 or 5-of-8 day tickets. Confirm exclusions, exact age evidence, insurance and any required pass card before payment. A Fast Tracks lane add-on is not a replacement for lift access.
Conflicting sources: Online orders use an emailed QR code to print individual RFID pass cards at the operator’s Pick-Up Boxes, including Mountain Gateway and Sunrise. Do not assume a rental order can skip fitting/check-in. The 26/27 season-pass terms still reference age on 1 January 2026, unlike day tickets assessed on intended use; ask the operator to resolve that date before choosing an age-restricted pass. The free winter uphill pass and visible armband are separate and explicitly include no lift ride up or down.
The current mountain report says the winter uphill policy takes effect when the resort opens. Until then the slopes are uncontrolled and unpatrolled; keep away from working crews, machinery and infrastructure, and call 911 for an emergency. The resort safety and contact pages list Ski Patrol dispatch at +1 541 693 0911 for on-hill emergencies during operations. General reservations are a different service.
The winter uphill policy requires the free 26/27 pass, risk acknowledgement and a visible armband. It restricts travel to designated routes: the Cinder Cone description says 24 hours, but routes remain subject to the winter policy, status kiosks and closures; Pine Marten requires the associated lift and route to be open; the summit route requires Summit operating and closes with it. Its east-side summit route is permanently closed during winter. The new pass is still marked coming soon. Do not infer present access from those generic route descriptions.
The operator warns about deep snow and tree-well immersion and recommends staying with a partner and keeping one another in sight. Obey closures, signs and staff directions, choose terrain within your ability and keep clear of machinery and avalanche-control work. Outside normal operating hours the policy describes an uncontrolled, unpatrolled area. Neither a local black symbol nor our community map provides an assessment of current avalanche safety, grooming or backcountry access.
Rentals, lessons and individual adapted arrangements
The current rental page separates West Village’s Mountain Gateway from Sunrise Lodge. It gives West Village service from opening through 18 April 2027 and Sunrise from 19 December 2026 through 18 April 2027; these are rental-centre periods, not guarantees that the whole mountain is open. Choose a package and date for an actual quote, allow fitting time and confirm the return deadline. The page says no later than 16:15, whereas the terms say within 15 minutes of lifts closing; late-cancellation credit wording also differs.
Oregon Adaptive Sports offers individually arranged alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons at Sunrise Lodge. Its current programme page says winter sign-up opens Tuesday 3 November and lists USD 80 half-day lessons including necessary equipment, lift ticket and instructor. Full-day USD 100 lessons on that page are for Hoodoo, not Mt. Bachelor. OAS cannot provide personal care; carers may accompany programmes without charge. Confirm suitability, availability and the complete arrival/assistance plan rather than infer an accessible visit from a bus or lift icon.
For general resort information, the current contact page gives +1 541 382 1709 and info@mtbachelor.com, with central reservations 08:30–16:30 daily. The physical mountain address differs from the Bend office and postal address. Retail, dining and lesson offerings require their own opening and booking checks. The genuine Kris Arnold photograph shows the mountain on 8 March 2003. It provides winter archive context, not present conditions; the later 2005 file-change date is not its capture date. Its original pixels and CC BY-SA 2.0 credit are retained; it does not show present snow or operation.
