Independent ODbL community geometry covers the scoped Valley, Mountain and upper managed alpine network, including the Palace-side passenger alignment under its community High1 Gondola name. It excludes the two unidentified area polygons, Athena I without a matching current Korean status row, technical/private/disused/proposed ways and backcountry/freeride/extreme terrain. Named community segments are not an operator piste inventory; generic OSM grades stay grey without confirmed local colours. Unconfirmed: operator map linking conditions, current artwork edition and reproduction or preview rights are not satisfied; no operator plan or deep link is displayed. Geometry and the November 2025 Palace photograph establish no current skiing, access permission or safe navigation.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Valley and upper hubs

Access: Start at Valley Ski House only after confirming the actual skier lifts and return.

Zeus, Victoria and Apollo references connect different levels; an open scenic cable car is not public skiing.

02

Mountain and High1 Top

Access: Mountain Ski House is a separate starting base with its own connections.

Hera and Athena references lead around the upper hubs. Confirm every open descent and download; Palace is a separate destination.

01

Starting base: Valley or Mountain

Valley Ski House is at 500 High1-gil; Mountain Ski House is at 265-1 High1-gil. Use the correct rental and lesson desk. The Grand Hotel and Palace Hotel are separate destinations.

02

Connections: verify each skier link

The managed network links upper hubs with Zeus, Hera, Victoria, Apollo and Athena references. Cable-car services also carry scenic visitors. Unconfirmed: every current skier connection and the community High1-to-Palace naming comparison are not established.

03

Return: the whole journey needs a plan

Unconfirmed: final boarding, every descent or download and the onward winter bus are not established. The contract requires boarding at least 30 minutes before closing; retained Mountain/Hera rows warn of earlier closure. Do not rely on a printed shuttle row with an unresolved season popup.

01 / FIELD OVERVIEW

Know the hill before the first lap.

Plan the correct ski house, open connections and complete return separately from scenic cable-car service. The 3 November 2026 operator check showed the ski pistes closed; exact 2026/27 skiing dates remain unconfirmed.

Terrain, local grades and inventory limits

High1 is Kangwon Land’s managed alpine ski area in Jeongseon, with Valley and Mountain ski houses, the upper High1 Top and Valley Top, and intermediate hubs. The Zeus family provides beginner terrain; Hera spans intermediate through advanced, while Victoria and Apollo include advanced and expert entries. Athena has its own beginner and intermediate references. Use the operator’s local labels and the signs on the day, without translating them into a universal colour system.

Conflicting sources: the ski contract describes 17 slopes and nine lifts including three cable cars, while the current Korean status table contains 19 named piste rows. The retained English table adds Athena I, Apollo I-1 and separate terrain features; its overview also mentions a T-bar absent from the current nine-installation list. These inventories are different scopes, not a verified current piste total.

Conflicting sources: Korean and English introductions describe the linked 4.2 km Valley descent with different summit elevations and vertical drops. Treat the length as the operator’s linked-route description, not one mapped segment or a guarantee of an open beginner return. Unconfirmed: the exact current official artwork edition and complete current network comparison are not established.

Ski access, seasonal operation and the complete return

The current operator list separates six passenger chairlifts—Jupiter, Zeus, Victoria, Hera, Apollo and Athena—from Valley, Mountain and Palace cable cars. At the 3 November 2026 check, all named ski-piste rows and six chairlifts showed closed. Some cable-car rows showed open; they do not establish skiing, and the homepage and detailed lift table differ over Palace’s scenic status.

Unconfirmed: exact 2026/27 first and final skiing dates, daily public ski hours and night-skiing dates are not established by the inspected current announcements. Locker sales, pass sales and a shuttle season are not skiing calendars. The 29 October November-cable-car notice has an image attachment; its detailed artwork timetable was omitted.

Historical: the retained English slope page lists 09:00–13:00, 12:00–16:00 and 18:00–22:00 sessions, with possible Mountain/Hera boarding closure at 15:30 or 21:30. These undated rows do not confirm 2026/27 daily hours. The ski contract requires boarding no later than 30 minutes before a facility’s closing time. Unconfirmed: each day’s final boarding, every open connecting descent or cable-car download, and the onward bus are not established; arrange the whole return before ascending.

Choose the correct ski house and verify transport

The operator gives Valley Condominium and Ski House at 500 High1-gil, Gohan-eup, and Mountain Condominium and Ski House at 265-1 High1-gil. The Grand Hotel at 265 High1-gil and Palace Hotel at 399 Gohan 7-gil are separate destinations. The location pin is an approximate community reference near Valley’s cable-car station, not a parking entrance or guaranteed step-free route.

The operator describes Haneul parking beside Valley Ski House, the Hill parking area with shuttle transfer, and Palace parking with a cable-car connection. Capacity and transfer descriptions do not promise a vacant space or a working winter connection. Unconfirmed: current parking charges, overnight permission, snow-chain requirements and the complete accessible transfer are not established. Confirm the precise base and current road conditions before driving.

Conflicting sources: Rideus advertises Seoul shuttle dates of 27 November 2026–1 March 2027, but retains a popup saying the 2024/25 service ended and the 2025/26 schedule is undecided. Its timetable prints Valley Condominium returns at 13:30 and 17:00, while the main header leaves Incheon Airport as TBD despite printed airport rows. Do not treat those rows as a confirmed 2026/27 airport service or a guaranteed connection. The resort shuttle search lists Gohan/Sabuk stations and both ski houses but returns no journey before selection. Unconfirmed: your exact winter outward and final return reservation, current fare and accessible boarding remain to be confirmed with the actual provider.

Timed ski tickets, age rules and separate products

The inspected Korean tariff lists three-hour KRW 66,000, four-hour KRW 73,000, seven-hour KRW 88,000 and all-day KRW 111,000 lift tickets. Time begins at the first gate passage. The 16:00–18:00 grooming interval is excluded, with the described two-hour extension when it overlaps a timed ticket. Unconfirmed: the whole table’s applicable 2026/27 edition, the available night session and your final checkout conditions are not established; confirm them before paying.

The tariff says lift and ski-pass tickets are not sold for children under five, with lift child category five to thirteen. Scenic cable cars have a different three-to-thirteen category; the same page’s scenic-child and under-24-month wording does not resolve every intervening age. Unconfirmed: exact age calculation, evidence and entitlement for your child must be confirmed; do not use a scenic ticket as a skiing pass. The tariff explicitly says the sledding area will not operate in 2026/27.

The ski contract distinguishes ordinary lift tickets from registered season passes, rentals, lessons and lockers. It excludes Snow World, crystal cabins and other separate products from the ordinary lift ticket. Its general unused-ticket refund provision requires the ticket and receipt within one hour after issue; season passes, lockers and lessons have separate rules. Confirm the actual sales channel, cancellation, non-transferability and weather-closure conditions for the chosen product. A pass sale does not guarantee skiing.

Managed-piste rules, patrol and personal assistance

Use only signed open slopes within your ability and obey staff, grooming closures and barriers. The operator prohibits walking on ski slopes without equipment, straight-line speeding, skiing under alcohol and stopping in narrow or merging sections. Its safety guidance calls for protective equipment, professional binding setup and equipment checks; helmets are offered free subject to availability. Unauthorised paid instruction is prohibited.

The operator’s dedicated patrol and safety pages give 033-590-7119 for mountain incidents. Report the location and follow patrol instructions; the ordinary enquiries number is not an emergency substitute. The documented base medical rooms and upper patrol stations do not establish response times or rescue entitlement. This guide covers managed alpine terrain, excluding touring, backcountry and any closed or unverified connection.

Unconfirmed: individual adaptive instruction, suitable equipment, step-free boarding and an assisted emergency or final return are not established for your visit. The overview’s disability-school/accessibility claim is a general operator description, not a personal access guarantee. Contact the ski house and provider with the exact support needs before booking.

Ski houses, rental, lessons and contact

Valley and Mountain ski houses each list rental, storage, ticket and lesson desks. Valley rental/storage is on the first floor; its patrol and medical room are on the second, and cable-car boarding on the third. Mountain’s first floor has rental and lesson reception, with a medical room on the second and cable-car boarding on the third. The rental page separately lists Valley repairs, waxing and boot work.

Contact the resort through 1588-7789 within Korea or the English-site international enquiries number +82-33-590-7700. The published Valley storage number is +82-33-590-7821 and Mountain storage +82-33-590-7921. Lessons have separate ski and snowboard desks. Unconfirmed: English-language tuition, current adaptive provision, equipment sizes, helmet stock, meeting point and equipment-return deadline are not established; confirm the exact provider and session.

Historical: the header photograph is Choikwangmo25’s 13 November 2025 autumn view of the Palace Hotel area, used under CC0 1.0 as resort context. It does not depict today’s snow, the Valley starting base or open ski facilities. Unconfirmed: operator artwork reuse and the conditions for linking its pages are not satisfied for this publication; operator hyperlinks and previews are omitted while their dated factual provenance is retained.
