110MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore mapped pistes and lifts, compare the official plans and choose the right starting base. Check current opening separately.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Independent ODbL community geometry covers the reviewed Diavolezza managed alpine network: the Bernina-Diavolezza cable car, Diavolezzafirn chair, named pony lift and mapped Firn/Diavolezza valley descents. Lagalb, the cross-resort connection, Corvatsch, the ungroomed Morteratsch glacier itinerary, touring routes and unidentified conveyor belts are excluded. OSM way segments are not an official piste inventory. Raw community references do not always match the operator board: Firn has a mixed red/black local classification and Schwarzer Hang has different references, so unverified map colours remain grey. The snapshot time comes from the canonical OSM API HTTP response, not an Overpass replication timestamp. Unconfirmed: the operator’s interactive winter-map landing is verified, but its printed artwork edition and remote-preview or reproduction basis are unverified; no operator artwork is copied or embedded. Geometry and archive photography do not establish current opening, an available valley descent or safe navigation.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Use the Bernina-Diavolezza cable car and confirm the ski chair’s actual public operation.
High managed terrain with local mixed red/black Firn classification; no whole-area opening guarantee.
Access: Confirm each signed descent and return to the correct base before leaving the upper area.
Managed valley-side terrain, distinct from the Lagalb connection, touring ascent and ungroomed Morteratsch glacier itinerary.
The location pin is the cable-car lower endpoint beside the named RhB stop, distinct from Pontresina village and Bernina Lagalb. Check the train’s actual stopping pattern, road access and any assistance before departure.
The upper chair and managed descents belong to Diavolezza. Lagalb and Corvatsch are separate; the cross-resort link, Morteratsch glacier itinerary and touring routes are omitted. Confirm each currently open connection and your correct return base.
Through 15 November public skiing is listed only Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday; other days are closed for training. The autumn last cable-car descent is 16:20. Unconfirmed: final chair boarding, a complete ski descent and the onward final train are not established; ask staff before going up.

Licensed independent Diavolezza-only map
Diavolezza is the managed alpine ski and snowboard area above the Bernina Diavolezza base near Pontresina, with the Berghaus at the operator-listed 2,978 metres. It faces the Bernina mountain landscape and the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers. This guide covers the Diavolezza side; neighbouring Lagalb and the separate Corvatsch/Furtschellas network are not merged into its inventory, map or current skiing status.
The operator’s combined Diavolezza/Lagalb board names Firn, Diavolezza Gletscher, Diavolezza, Sass Queder, Schwarzer Hang and Ravulaunas on the Diavolezza side. It classifies Firn red/black, the Diavolezza variants red and Schwarzer Hang and Ravulaunas black. These are exact local source labels, not universal conversions or a promise that any run is open. Its combined 13-row total also includes Lagalb, a connecting piste, an ungroomed glacier itinerary and touring/training entries; it is not a Diavolezza managed-piste count.
The operator describes the eight-kilometre descent over the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers as ungroomed and ending at Morteratsch railway station. That itinerary is outside this managed-piste guide and omitted from our geometry. The Diavolezza Challenge is a separately ticketed and controlled uphill route, also omitted. Do not interpret either as an ordinary valley return. Unconfirmed: the complete valley descent and all named pistes are not established as available during the limited autumn public sessions.
The Bernina-Diavolezza reversible cable car links the valley station with the Berghaus area. The operator separately lists the four-seat Diavolezzafirn chair, Ponylift Diavolezza and Alp Bondo conveyor. Their presence does not establish current availability. The independent community map includes three identified passenger alignments; unconfirmed conveyor identities and the neighbouring Lagalb cable car are omitted.
The published 2026/27 timetable gives public skiing from 24 October through 15 November 2026 only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It expressly closes the pistes for training on the other days. The cable car and Berghaus remain open daily through 15 November, which does not open skiing to visitors on a training day. The point-map calendar preserves the individual local dates: Tuesday 3 November is closed to public skiing, Wednesday 4 November is a published public day.
For 17 October–15 November the cable-car timetable gives departures every 20 minutes, first ascent 07:40, final ascent 16:20 and final descent 16:20. The separate Diavolezzafirn row lists Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday 08:00–16:00 and a 16:00 last piste inspection. For 19 December–12 February the cable car is listed 08:40–16:20, and for 13 February–2 May 08:00–17:00, with last ascent and descent matching those end times. Later cable-car dates are transport planning, not confirmation that every piste opens.
Unconfirmed: a guaranteed complete ski descent, final chair boarding and the safe start time for your individual return are not established. A 16:00 piste inspection is not a lift departure or permission to start down at that time. Ask staff which return is actually open, whether you need the cable car down and how much time to allow before the last descent and onward train. No public skiing state is inferred for the timetable gap after 15 November.
The location pin marks the community-mapped Bernina-Diavolezza cable-car lower endpoint, separate from Pontresina village and the Bernina Lagalb boarding base. The operator gives Diavolezza Lagalb AG’s address as Via da Bernina 144, 7504 Pontresina. RhB identifies the Bernina Diavolezza railway station; plan the train to that exact stop rather than assuming every panoramic service or nearby station has the same stopping pattern.
The operator’s parking page places parking directly at the valley stations and notes nearby bus and railway stops. Its free-parking sentence includes a summer qualification, while the detailed winter charges below concern Corvatsch and Furtschellas. Unconfirmed: the applicable Diavolezza winter parking tariff, capacity, overnight permission and a date-specific final bus or train are not established by this page. Check the actual signs, road conditions and dated journey before departure.
The accessibility page identifies the Diavolezza cable car, Berghaus restaurant and VR Glacier Experience as facilities with more detailed Ginto access entries. This is useful planning information, not individual confirmation of every transfer. Unconfirmed: an assisted ski journey, equipment acceptance, station-to-train transfer time and the complete suitable return have not been verified. Agree assistance with the operator and railway before buying tickets.
The operator advertises Snow-Deal ski passes from CHF 55, available online or at ticket offices, with an advance-booking incentive. This is a starting advertisement, not a quote for an autumn Diavolezza date or every ticket category. Select the exact date, activity, age and open area; a sightseeing cable-car or lunch package does not grant public skiing on a training-only day.
The flexible pass is described as ten freely chosen days within 365 days of purchase, covering the Upper Engadin region and non-transferable with photo identification. The family offer concerns specified 3–15-day and annual products for one or two guardians and children in the same household. Its published scheme has the eldest child pay the child/youth tariff, the second receive 30% off that tariff and further children travel free, subject to the stated age and identification conditions. Do not assume this discount applies to an ordinary single-day ticket.
Historical: the ticket pages still link English Mountain Pool terms in a 2022-named document. They restrict tickets to booked periods and published normal hours, generally exclude day-ticket refunds and list weather, safety, technical and force-majeure restrictions. These retained terms require checking against the conditions shown for your actual purchase. Unconfirmed: the final date-specific fare, autumn-area entitlement, child boundary, deposit, discount combination and applicable refund outcome are not established by the starting price or regional description. No price is presented as a guaranteed offer.
Use only signed open managed pistes and obey barriers and the instructions of transport, piste and rescue staff. Public skiing is excluded on the stated autumn training days even when the cable car carries visitors. The 3 November board lists the Diavolezza cable car open but the ski chair and pistes closed, consistent with the Tuesday training exclusion; a generic open-lift counter is not skiing evidence. The dated public-day calendar does not guarantee that every run or lift operates in particular weather.
The Diavolezza Challenge’s own page requires a valid ski pass or Challenge ticket and links separate rules and artificial avalanche-triggering information. That does not authorize uphill use of every piste, use during training closures or out-of-hours access. The ungroomed Morteratsch glacier descent and high-mountain tours remain separate activities requiring their own current conditions, permissions and appropriate professional advice. They are not shown as managed alternatives on our map.
The operator team page identifies a slope and rescue service and publishes the general office number +41 81 838 73 73; the Diavolezza technical operation is +41 81 839 39 39. These office contacts are not presented as independently verified emergency dispatch numbers. Obtain the current mountain rescue contact and exact local procedure before skiing, and give staff the signed piste or lift reference if assistance is needed. Historical: the linked 2022 terms say rescue and external medical/air-rescue costs are charged separately. Unconfirmed: current patrol staffing, dispatch arrangements, an individual rescue response and an assisted return are not established.
The Swiss Ski School Corvatsch-Pontresina publishes private ski and snowboard lessons for children, adolescents and adults, with group offers for younger participants across the Upper Engadin. Its Pontresina office is at Via Maistra 220, phone +41 81 544 0 555, with info@ssscp.ch. Unconfirmed: a particular autumn Diavolezza lesson, public-day teaching area, meeting point, language and instructor capacity are not established. Arrange the actual session before travelling; a wider regional offer is not a lesson booking at this mountain.
Go Vertical publishes a winter rental-price-list link, a shop/opening-hours reference and the contact +41 81 834 57 58 / info@govertical.ch. Reserve equipment separately and confirm the exact discipline, fitting, collection branch, return deadline and access from your arrival station. Unconfirmed: current downhill equipment stock, a Diavolezza-base collection counter, final rental price and equipment compatibility are not established by the general shop page. This guide does not roll an older rental list into a current quote.
The operator lists the Berghaus Diavolezza as a restaurant and hotel at the mountain station, with +41 81 839 39 00 and berghaus@diavolezza.ch. The autumn announcement keeps it and the cable car open daily through 15 November, separate from the three public ski days. Book meals or accommodation separately and confirm access with any reservation. Diavolezza Lagalb AG is reached at +41 81 839 39 39; the shared company contact is +41 81 838 73 73 / info@corvatsch.ch. Unconfirmed: current room/table availability, secure equipment storage, adaptive tuition and your complete assisted journey remain unverified.
Selected source-checked references only. Use the complete official plan for the network; this list is not the resort’s total piste count or live opening report.
