01 / EVENT OVERVIEW
What defines this edition.
Plan the confirmed classic and free-technique weekend, including Sunday’s 09:30 start. Detailed Saturday marathon notes retain the published group times, course orientation, medical-entry documents, bib collection, fees, cutoffs and travel limitations. Times are local: Europe/Rome, CET, UTC+01:00. Historical: archive race-start photograph by Karsten11, released under CC0 1.0. The file description identifies 18 February 2012, while its camera metadata says 18 February 2011; the exact capture date is uncertain. It does not show the 2027 field, course or snow conditions. Original pixels preserved; responsive display crops.
The organiser describes a loop from St. Martin down the valley through Pichl towards Taisten, back past St. Martin, then up to St. Magdalena and back to St. Martin. Its written description highlights an approximately 200 m climb towards St. Magdalena. The 30 km choice and 42 km continuation share the entry; decide within the marked race and cutoff rules.
Historical: the current course page links files named loipenplan-2026 and rennen-loipe-2026. Their filenames identify older material, not an accepted final 2027 course. Unconfirmed: final 2027 geometry, elevation totals, snow-dependent changes and exact operational approval have not been established. No operator artwork is copied, traced or reproduced here. Use the organiser’s course page and final briefing for updates.
The compact 2027 text lists seven feed stops: Pichl at 9, 13, 20 and 25 km, Taisten at 17 km, St. Martin at 30 km and St. Magdalena at 33 km. It lists on-course wax service at 15, 18, 24 and 30 km. Wear the timing chip visibly above the boot; return it at the finish even after retiring. The published non-return charge is EUR 50.
The organiser lists eligibility as over 16, with birth year 2011, and prohibits skating in Saturday’s classic race. The Italian 2027 compact instructions request a valid sports medical certificate or FISI card; the English responsibility clause asks entrants to declare possession of a medical-fitness certificate. Unconfirmed: the precise age-boundary interpretation, acceptance and translation of a foreign certificate, and any individual exemption or final admission are not established. Confirm your required documents with the organiser before paying or travelling.
02 / PUBLISHED PROGRAMME
The published timetable.
Friday, February 19, 2027
Published Friday bib collection
The programme and compact 2027 page place collection at St. Martin’s multifunctional building. Conflicting sources: the rules instead give Friday 14:30–19:00. Both were checked on 30 October 2026; reconfirm the final window and bring proof of payment.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Published Saturday bib and classic wax service
The programme and compact page list morning bib collection until 09:00, with classic wax advice/service in the same window. Conflicting sources: the rules extend Saturday bib collection to 09:30, the first published start time. Do not plan to collect at the start; establish your own earlier arrival.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Saturday online late-entry deadline
The Saturday programme specifies 08:30 for classic entry. Conflicting sources: the rules, registration page and compact late-entry text give a general Sunday 21 February 08:30 deadline. That Sunday wording does not establish admission to Saturday’s race after its start. No on-site late registration is accepted.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Elite and group 1 — classic race
The 2027 compact page lists Elite + G1 at 09:30, G2 at 09:32 and G3 + G4 Just for Fun at 09:34. Conflicting sources: the English programme calls this an interval start, while the rules and German programme call it a wave start. Follow your assigned group and final instructions; the wording is not independently reconciled.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Group 2 — classic race
Published in the edition-specific compact timetable. Actual group allocation and any later operational changes must be checked with the organiser.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Groups 3 and 4 — published combined departure
The compact page combines G3 and G4 Just for Fun. The untimed group remains separate from the ranked 42 km race; use the group on your own entry.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Published Taisten-branch cutoff at 14 km
The organiser’s rules and compact instructions close the branch towards Taisten at the 14 km junction. Obey marshals and any course changes.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Published 42 km branch cutoff at 29.6 km
The organiser closes the continuation towards St. Magdalena at the 29.6 km junction. Do not continue beyond a closed control.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Published classic prize ceremony
The programme places the classic prize ceremony in the finish area; it is separate from the 14:30 finish closure.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Published finish closure
The rules and compact page list 14:30. This is the organiser’s planning cutoff, not a guarantee of safe weather or an individual completion time.Sunday, February 21, 2027

The public 2027 programme places these services at St. Martin’s multifunctional building.Sunday, February 21, 2027

Sunday 42/30 km free-technique race start

Sunday free-technique prize ceremony
Published in the finish-area programme; confirm current instructions and onward travel separately.03 / TICKETS & BROADCAST
Attend with the live instructions.
The organiser links online registration through Datasport and says no late entries are accepted on site. Unconfirmed: live capacity, successful payment and the final checkout total have not been verified; no entry or payment was submitted.
The published classic entry covers the 30/42 km choice. A two-day entry and the reduced untimed Just for Fun category are different products. The registration page sets 15 February 2027 as the bank-transfer deadline; use the official booking route for payment instructions.. The registration page quotes classic entry at EUR 78 through 31 December 2026, EUR 88 in January 2027, EUR 95 from 1–15 February and EUR 104 in the late online period. Euroloppet-pass holders are advertised the lowest fee until race day. The package includes bib/chip, food stops, medical service, medal and a participant lunch voucher. Unconfirmed: payment fees, eligibility for discounts and your final transaction total are not established. These are dated organiser quotes, not a guaranteed Offer.
Ticket checkoutTerritory matters
The compact 2027 page lists a RAI Sport programme on 22 February at 22:00. Unconfirmed: the final transmission, live coverage and territorial availability have not been independently verified.
Unconfirmed: U.S. broadcast or streaming availability is not established.
Official broadcast hub04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS
The pin is not the gate.
The point uses the centre coordinate in the organiser’s embedded arrival map. It is a planning reference near the event base, not a surveyed start pen, parking entrance, bib desk or accessible approach. The organiser’s postal address is St. Martin 10b, 39030 Gsies, South Tyrol.
The organiser’s road directions approach via the Puster Valley and Monguelfo/Welsberg into Val Casies. It advertises approximately 1,000 parking spaces about 200 m from the start/finish, with a camper area and toilets. Conflicting sources: the English rules say parking ends at 12 pm Monday, while the compact page says 12 am Monday. Unconfirmed: the exact closing time, parking charges, reservation, snow clearance and designated spectator access are not established.
The organiser gives rail approaches via Fortezza/Franzensfeste to Monguelfo/Welsberg and links Südtirolmobil for regional buses. Its undated arrival page lists a 09:00 Welsberg-to-valley bus and a 16:30 return from St. Martin. Unconfirmed: those departures’ 2027 edition, exact stops, journey time, earlier race-day service, bookings and a usable return connection are not verified. A 09:00 departure leaves only 30 minutes before the first race start and does not establish a feasible bib-and-start arrival. Arrange both journeys before travel.
The rules offer free entry to participants with disabilities and their guides, with organiser contact at least four weeks before the race. They require a valid FISI card or sports medical certificate, with a separate exception for Just for Fun. Unconfirmed: step-free transport, parking-to-start access, building entry, toilets, adaptive equipment acceptance and individual assistance are not established by this policy. Agree the complete arrangement directly before booking.
The compact instructions place women’s toilets/changing/showers in the multifunctional building and men’s facilities in the school. Request a clothing bag at bib collection and use the designated drop outside the start area; the organiser returns bags at the finish. Lunch is listed 11:00–15:00 with the participant voucher; accompanying-person meal vouchers are quoted at EUR 18. Confirm final service locations and keep the race corridor clear.
