Independent ODbL community geometry covers named managed downhill corridors and passenger alignments around Plaza La Góndola, the hotel platform, Mirador, Andes, Ballicas and the upper Valle del Inca/Tres Puntas area. Neighbouring La Parva and El Colorado, their interconnections, private Camino Alto, unnamed or unresolved features and tagged freeride/backcountry terrain are excluded. The community gondola is named Bajo Cero; no current operator alias or complete Ancla alignment is asserted. Named segmented ways are not the operator piste inventory. Generic community difficulty remains grey without a confirmed literal local colour. The snapshot uses the original canonical OSM API HTTP response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp. Unconfirmed: the official winter-map landing page is accessible, but its artwork edition, exact geometry comparison and preview or reproduction rights are not established; operator artwork is omitted. Geometry does not establish current skiing, grooming, access permission, avalanche safety, navigation or a guaranteed return.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Plaza La Góndola / Prado

Access: The extension places ticketing, customer service, school and equipment rental at the first floor of Plaza La Góndola. Confirm the actual lesson meeting point before going uphill.

Prado/Góndola has named learner-area pistes. The actual 4 November Spanish table lists Cuando I/II, Cuncuna, Polka and Tap I/II open; availability may change.

02

Andes / Mirador / Ballicas / upper sectors

Access: Andes Express, Mirador, Ballicas, Embalse, Tres Puntas and Valle del Inca are distinct lift and return decisions, not one guaranteed circuit.

The 4 November report lists five lifts and 13 of its 45 piste rows open. Mirador, upper lifts and inter-resort connections remain separate from the limited open offer.

03

La Parva and El Colorado boundaries

Access: The operator lists both connections closed at this check; La Parva independently marks its Valle Nevado connection closed. Do not cross a closure or rely on a pass benefit.

The managed guide and independent geometry exclude both neighbouring ski areas, interconnection descents and unmanaged terrain.

01

Start: distinguish Plaza La Góndola from the hotel platform

The extension groups ticketing/SAC, school and hire at Plaza La Góndola. The hotel platform is a different arrival point; match your lesson, equipment and transport before boarding.

02

Connect: stay inside the actual open Valle Nevado sectors

The limited offer names Prado, Góndola, Vaivén, Candonga and Andes Express. La Parva and Colorado connections are closed in the actual operator table; a joint-pass entitlement does not open them.

03

Return: confirm the shortened day and every final connection

Unconfirmed: individual last skier boarding and a complete return are not established. The safety notice gives skiing 08:30–14:00 and a separate gondola closing at 16:00; confirm the full journey before boarding.

01 / FIELD OVERVIEW

Know the hill before the first lap.

Plan the shortened late-season ski day and your return before boarding. The November–December extension lists selected dates, and neither a neighbouring-resort connection nor a ticket benefit guarantees passage.

Two practical bases: Plaza La Góndola and the hotel platform

Selected late-season dates and the shorter ski day kept explicit

Independent ODbL map excludes neighbouring resorts and freeride

Follow the managed sectors and the actual daily opening

The area sits above Farellones in the Andes at over 3,000 m. Plaza La Góndola/Prado, Mirador, Ballicas, Andes, Inca, Tres Puntas and Ancla are separate named sectors. The 4 November Spanish table lists open beginner-area pistes and selected Andes descents, including Luna, Sol I/II, Samba and Momia; a groomed label alone is not an opening decision.

Conflicting sources: the FAQ advertises 47 slopes, 13 lifts and La Góndola, while the actual mountain report uses 45 pistes and 13 lifts as its denominators. These are different published inventories, not a reconciled current total. The independent map counts community ways and retains community names without claiming exact current operator aliases.

Use the signed local ability grades and only terrain declared open. Freeride, heliski, touring, terrain-park features and neighbouring resorts are outside this managed-piste guide and geometry. Unconfirmed: a complete suitable descent, current patrol coverage in every sector and all learner facilities are not established.

Use the dated safety adjustment and selected extension days

The mountain report checked on 4 November is updated at 08:00 and lists five of 13 lifts and 13 of 45 pistes open. The Spanish table identifies Prado, Góndola, Vaivén, Candonga and Andes Express as open, while Mirador, upper lifts and the La Parva/Colorado connections are closed. This is a dated limited skiing observation, not full-area or permanent availability.

The report’s safety notice reduces skiing to 08:30–14:00 from 1 November and separately gives gondola closing at 16:00. From 9 November the bilingual extension lists 13–15, 20–22 and 27–30 November plus 1 December, 08:30–14:00, with the same five named lifts, subject to weather and mountain safety. It does not list daily skiing on all intervening days.

Conflicting sources: the generic FAQ still says lifts and pistes operate 09:00–17:00 and a usual June–October season. Those generic rows do not override the dated November adjustment and selected extension dates. Unconfirmed: individual last skier boarding, download entitlement, every extension-date gondola time and the complete final return are not established.

Check G-21/G-251 controls before starting the drive

The operator directs drivers from Santiago along G-21 towards Farellones, turning onto G-251 at curve 40. Its arrival page identifies airport car rental, taxi and transfer options, including CTS Turismo and Ski Total. Reserve a dated journey to your exact base and allow time for fitting and the shortened ski day; no public shuttle frequency or transfer is guaranteed here.

The current report lists G-21 as two-way Monday–Friday and weekend uphill 08:00–13:00/downhill 15:00–20:00. The neighbouring La Parva road notice retains seasonal bands ending 30 September, so it is not accepted as a November timetable. Check current police/municipal controls and the report on the day. The report prohibits buses/minibuses longer than 10 m.

Carry correctly sized serviceable snow chains, obey mandatory fitting instructions and use designated fitting areas. The FAQ calls for carrying chains in winter; the current road note makes carrying mandatory during a SENAPRED preventive warning and permits access refusal for noncompliance. Unconfirmed: parking charges/spaces, dated shared-shuttle last departures and continuous step-free access are not established.

Separate a ski ticket, the extension and inter-resort benefits

The day-ticket page distinguishes fixed-date FIX, FLEX, shared coupon books and scenic visits. FIX has limited availability and dynamic pricing; its chosen date cannot be changed. Ski access uses the reloadable Valle Plus card, listed at CLP 6,000. Check the exact date, age category, lift scope and checkout terms; no live ski-ticket price or availability is asserted.

The extension says only FIX will be sold during that period. Previously bought FLEX tickets and 2026/2027 passes remain usable through 1 December subject to each product’s conditions. The newer pass page primarily markets 2027 products; it does not make every pass unlimited or confirm the 2027 ski calendar. Lessons, rental, transfers and scenic rides have separate inclusions.

The FAQ describes a La Parva add-on sold at ticket offices and an included hotel-guest benefit, with intermediate–advanced ability and a generic return-before-16:00 warning. At this actual check both Valle Nevado connections are closed, independently corroborated for La Parva. Unconfirmed: a usable extension-period interconnection, El Colorado entitlement, its price and a guaranteed inter-resort return are not established. Never cross a closure on the strength of a pass.

Respect closures, avalanche controls and the early finish

The responsibility code requires controlled skiing, right of way for those downhill, visible stopping places, suitable equipment and respect for patrol, barriers and marked boundaries. Wear a properly fitted helmet; snowboarders must use a leash. Ask lift staff for boarding assistance. Snow, tracks or other people beyond a closure do not mean an area has opened.

The dated report explains that daytime warming increases avalanche risk and gives the preventive 14:00 ski finish. Do not enter before avalanche work is complete, walk on piste edges or treat community geometry as safe navigation. The FAQ does not offer winter trekking/randonnée; a generic school-services listing does not authorize independent uphill travel or entry into closed terrain.

For an accident, alert ski patrol or the nearest staff member, give the piste/location and number of people, protect the scene and remain available; avoid moving an injured person unless there is immediate danger. The Spanish piste page describes a special clinic arrangement with a nurse, telemedicine and ambulance transfer coordination. Unconfirmed: on-site doctor availability, exact clinic hours, individual rescue response, insurance coverage and a safe complete return are not established.

Arrange the correct base, equipment and assistance

The extension locates school/Ski Day, ticketing/SAC and rental on the first floor of Plaza La Góndola, with clothing/equipment hire exclusively there. Its listed food options are El Montañés, Rincón La Leñera and the plaza kiosk. Shop and lounge hours are separate from skiing: the hotel-platform store lists 09:00–18:30, while the plaza store lists weekends 08:30–14:00.

The generic rental page gives 08:30–17:30 and a credit-card guarantee in the customer’s name, with the hotel-platform rental closed and Plaza La Góndola open. Unconfirmed: those generic rental hours throughout the extension, final equipment return, exact stock, fit, lesson availability and current restaurant/toilet service are not established. Agree these with the provider rather than using a later shop closing as permission to ski.

The operator lists sac@vallenevado.com for customer enquiries and reservas@vallenevado.com for accommodation. The school describes children’s and adaptive lessons, and the FAQ identifies accessible parking at both bases plus courtesy shuttles for ticket/pass holders. Unconfirmed: a dated shuttle timetable, individual equipment/assisted boarding, evacuation and a continuous accessible journey are not established. Confirm needs, meeting point and final return before paying.

04 / AT THE BASE

Facilities that change the day.

The extension locates school, ticketing/SAC and rental at Plaza La Góndola; restaurant and shop hours have separate scopes. The FAQ lists parking at Plaza La Góndola and accessible spaces at both bases; individual boarding and continuous accessible transfers require advance agreement. A published special clinic arrangement describes nursing, telemedicine and ambulance transfer coordination; it is not a guaranteed staffed hospital or rescue response.
