Four connected alpine areas around Trysilfjellet, with a practical arrival base at Turistsenteret.
006MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore mapped pistes and lifts, compare the official plans and choose the right starting base. Check current opening separately.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Community map for planning. Coverage may be incomplete. Grey pistes have no confirmed local grade. Check the official plan and current opening; mapped geometry does not grant access.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: South-side base with Velkomstsenter reception and T7 Trysilgondolen.
Central services, children’s terrain and pistes of several local grades.
Access: Separate north-side base; follow its own status report.
Many green pistes with family facilities and links across the mountain.
Access: Distinct lift-and-piste area with a separate planned opening.
The operator highlights its black pistes for experienced skiers.
Access: South-side area served by Skihytta Express.
Blue and red terrain and a separate children’s area.
Velkomstsenter at Turistsenteret is the arrival reference used here. Høyfjellssenteret / Fageråsen is a separate north-side base, with its own services and status.
Turistsenteret, Høyfjellssenteret, Høgegga and Skihytta serve different terrain. Høgegga is known for black pistes; family areas and gentler terrain are in other sectors.
Check the connections back to your actual base before crossing the mountain. A line on the plan does not establish that all four areas are connected by open lifts today.
01 / FIELD OVERVIEW
Unconfirmed: SkiStar plans a staged 2026/27 opening: Turistsenteret on 4 December, Høyfjellssenteret on 12 December, then Skihytta and Høgegga on 18 December. The published closing date is 18 April 2027, subject to conditions. The operator advertises 69 slopes and 81 km; the three numbered examples here are a separate, limited transcription of its 2025/26 map. The cross-country network is not included in this alpine resort record.
Four areas with separate opening plans
Numbered pistes retain the local map grades
Winter bus timetable still pending
Trysilfjellet’s alpine area has four linked sectors: Turistsenteret, Høyfjellssenteret/Fageråsen, Høgegga and Skihytta. The operator advertises 69 slopes and 81 km of groomed terrain. These are resort-wide figures, separate from the three selected numbered piste rows documented here. Høgegga contains the steepest terrain; the family bases and their services are elsewhere.
Historical: The current operator page links a map filed under winter 2025/26. Its local legend calls green Very easy, blue Easy, red Medium and black Expert. Pistes 15, 36 and 75 illustrate those numbered references without invented names or measured lengths. Transport ski routes and unprepared pistes use distinct dashed symbols; a map line does not establish a prepared, open descent.
T7 Trysilgondolen is identified as a gondola in the native map legend. Chairlifts, T-bars, button lifts and carpets have separate symbols. Do not treat the operator’s advertised infrastructure as a live operating total or assume every connection between sectors is available.
Unconfirmed: The planned openings are 4 December at Turistsenteret, 12 December at Høyfjellssenteret and 18 December at Skihytta and Høgegga, with closing planned for 18 April 2027. The published daytime window is 09:00–15:30 through 12 February and 09:00–16:30 thereafter; 24 December ends at 14:00. Historical: all four status tabs showed no open lifts or pistes at the 27 October 2026 full review. The separate 3 November alpine-status observation is shown above. Recheck the operator before setting out.
The practical pin is the operator-linked reception at Velkomstvegen 10, Turistsenteret. Høyfjellssenteret is a separate base. SkiStar describes coach access from Oslo and its airport, plus transfers from Scandinavian Mountains Airport. The new rail-and-coach option travels via Oslo; it does not provide a railway station in Trysil.
Unconfirmed: The ski bus is included with a valid SkiPass, but its 2026/27 departures are still awaiting publication. Do not use the old winter PDF as a new timetable. At Turistsenteret, P8’s published free period ends on 30 November 2026. P6/P7 short-stay areas, the P5 garage and SkiStar Lodge parking have different charging rules. Check the current zone signs and payment instructions rather than extrapolate the off-season offer.
The official booking page selected for Trysil and 4 December 2026 states that its alpine SkiPass covers Høgegga, Turistsenteret, Skihytta and Fageråsen. The pass also serves as a ski-bus ticket. Passes are personal except for the named Family Pass, whose stated sharing conditions are separate.
Historical: The inspected booking view for a 4 December 2026 start defaulted to two days and quoted €80.50 for an adult aged 18–64 on 27 October. A new SkiPass card costs extra, and the operator warns that prices and currency conversions can change. This is a dated two-day quote, not a one-day tariff. Select the correct date, duration and age category before purchase; pass validity does not establish lift opening.
Follow piste closures, signs and lift-staff instructions. SkiStar defines off-piste as terrain outside marked prepared slopes and warns that even assessed avalanche-exposed terrain cannot be guaranteed safe. Tracks left by another skier do not establish safety. Avalanche knowledge, appropriate equipment and practised companion rescue remain necessary for travel in such terrain.
Historical: The English avalanche page retains the ambiguous date 4/12/2026; the corresponding Swedish source resolves it as 12 April 2026. Its Low label is therefore not a current risk assessment. Use a current bulletin and local instructions. The official Trysil patrol number is +47 99 28 00 84; the nearest lift attendant can also arrange help. Norway’s medical emergency number is 113.
Velkomstsenter Turistsenteret at Velkomstvegen 10 handles SkiPass support and sales and key collection through Check-in 55. Its displayed opening times are date-specific reception hours, not a lift timetable. Check the current reception page for your arrival day rather than assume winter opening throughout the year.
Unconfirmed: The official service directory links rental shops, SkiPass pickup, parking and the bus. General reception information is listed on the Norwegian page at +47 62 12 30 72; use the dedicated patrol number for an accident. Individual shop hours, rental prices and lesson places remain unconfirmed here. Check the official service links before relying on a facility. The 2011 grooming photograph cannot verify present machinery or services.
Selected source-checked references only. Use the complete official plan for the network; this list is not the resort’s total piste count or live opening report.

05 / PROFILE BASIS & SOURCES
This profile is based on current information published or supplied by the place or its operator and the dated sources linked below.
All ten full-review scopes examined against successful official-source reads, including four rendered status tabs, lift-hour accordions, exact Trysil pass scope, reception coordinates and the native winter map. The map remains 2025/26, bus departures are unpublished, a dated two-day quote is distinguished from a one-day tariff and the avalanche bulletin is stale; these limits are retained.
