Explore Tornik’s managed alpine terrain above Ribnica with an independent map, separate beginner and upper-slope orientation, practical ticket and arrival guidance, and explicit winter-source limitations.
065MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore the independent community map and practical starting bases. Read the coverage limits and check current opening and access with the operator.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Unconfirmed: the operator map page is linked separately, but a current artwork edition and lawful inline preview have not been verified; no operator artwork is reproduced in this guide. The inspected independent extent covers named community downhill corridors, separate ski ways and the three Tornik/Krnevo plandište/Bandera passenger alignments. The anonymous fragment and separate Gold gondola are omitted; learner conveyor geometry is missing. Local colour is unverified and pistes remain grey. Segments are not an official inventory. No current footprint, skiing, permitted access, complete return or navigation is established.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Lower Tornik chairlift planning reference
Confirm the actual open learner belt and meeting point; a learner-area ticket is distinct from general mountain access.
Access: Six-seat chairlift and Bandera reference
Named medium and difficult terrain needs appropriate skill and staff-confirmed open return; no current service is inferred.
Access: Northern surface-lift and connecting references
The operator labels the Krnevo branches Laka (easy); connecting ways are listed separately. Confirm suitable open connections with staff.
The operator places Tornik about 9 km from the Zlatibor tourist centre and identifies its own parking. The pin marks the community-mapped lower chairlift endpoint. Confirm the actual entrance, parking, learner meeting point and any assistance before travel.
The source table separates Čigota, Tornik, Zmajevac, Stankova ravan and the Krnevo branches from connecting ski ways. Ask staff which suitable signed connections and installations are open; the community map and old status rows do not establish a working circuit.
Confirm a suitable open descent or authorized download and the final departure for your actual base. A learner ticket, town transport or Gold gondola ride is not assumed to include the return. Never enter closed pistes or grooming areas as a shortcut.
01 / FIELD OVERVIEW
Tornik alpine guide with independent map, Ribnica base and return advice, local difficulty wording, safety rules and dated fare, transport and skiing-status limits.

Source-linked safety and historical winter limits
Tornik is the managed alpine ski centre above Ribnica, about 9 km from the Zlatibor tourist centre according to both the operator and the local tourism organisation. Their published skiing elevation range is 1,110–1,490 m; the separate summit height is 1,496 m. This guide covers managed alpine skiing, not Zlatibor’s other learner hills, Nordic trails, summer bike tracks or unsupervised mountain terrain.
The operator’s detailed table identifies Čigota 1 and Tornik 2a as Srednja, Krnevo plandište 1a/1b and Stankova ravan 3 as Laka, and Zmajevac 2 as Teška. It lists Ribnički put, Vezni put Bandera and Vezni put Tornik separately as ski ways. These local easy/medium/difficult words are planning references; follow actual signs and staff advice rather than assuming an international grade conversion.
Conflicting sources: the operator’s overview describes four snowmade runs, while the tourism organisation describes five named trails and about 10 km. The operator’s detailed table has six slope rows, including two Krnevo branches, plus three separate ski ways. These scopes are not one verified inventory or a measured current total. Snowmaking does not guarantee operation or safe conditions.
Historical: Darkokoracwik’s genuine Tornik ski-school photograph is archive winter context. The file name says winter 2016, while its description and metadata give 15 January 2015; the precise capture date is uncertain. Original JPEG bytes are unchanged, with responsive display crops under CC BY-SA 3.0. It does not establish current snow, open terrain or a current school offer.
The operator describes a six-seat Tornik chairlift rated at 3,000 people per hour and two surface lifts with a combined published capacity of 2,400 per hour. Its detailed table names Krnevo plandište and Bandera and also lists two learner conveyor installations. These are source descriptions, not an independent engineering audit or a promise that every installation will run.
Historical: a notice dated 6 March 2026 says the 2025/26 ski season ends on Sunday 8 March. The retained detailed table has closed piste rows carrying January–March day/month timestamps and installation rows dated 22 October without a complete year. The chairlift’s displayed 10:00–17:00 differs from the surface-lift 09:00–16:00 entries. Those mixed dates and summer activities do not establish a current winter timetable.
Unconfirmed: current public skiing, exact 2026/27 ski-season dates, final winter lift hours, learner-belt operation, open sector connections and skier-download arrangements have not been established. Confirm your usable uplift, suitable signed descent and last return before boarding. The separate Gold gondola towards the Zlatibor town area is outside this independent ski-centre map and is not assumed to share a ticket or operating timetable.
Use Tornik’s Ribnica ski-centre base rather than treating the broad Zlatibor resort name as an entrance. The map pin uses the lower endpoint of the community-mapped Tornik chairlift, near the northern learner/surface-lift area. It is a planning reference, not a surveyed gate, a Gold gondola interchange or a verified step-free route.
The operator says that the centre has its own parking. Check current road conditions, winter equipment requirements, the actual parking entrance and your onward walk before travel. Neither a published distance from Zlatibor nor a map pin reserves a space or confirms the road and lift will be open.
Unconfirmed: a dated 2026/27 public bus or ski-shuttle timetable, current parking tariff/capacity, guaranteed parking availability, the last town-bound connection and an uninterrupted accessible parking-to-lift transfer have not been verified. Arrange the whole outward and return journey directly; sightseeing transport is not automatically skiing access.
Historical: the operator’s ski-pass landing page still labels the linked Tornik tariff 2025/2026. Its adult daily examples are RSD 3,450, 3,600 and 3,750 across its three seasonal bands; the learner-conveyor adult example is RSD 1,200. The document states RSD 500 for the ChipCard medium and defines a half-day product as four hours. These are previous-season examples, not confirmed 2026/27 fares or current offers.
The retained tariff separates general skiing, learner-conveyor access, consecutive-day passes, Tornik-only 5/7 and 10-days-per-season products and an all-centres 10-day product. Learner tickets cover only the training-area conveyor gates. Do not assume a beginner product, summer chairlift ride or separate Gold gondola ticket provides general ski-centre access.
Conflicting sources: the retained tariff defines adults as 12–65 while its senior wording starts at 65. Confirm the applicable category and age evidence at that boundary. Its under-six concession is accompanied and restricted to specified learner/easy terrain; it is not permission for a child to use every slope.
Unconfirmed: current 2026/27 prices, complete purchase/refund/interruption terms, applicable insurance, discounts, card charges and the entitlement for any final download have not been verified. At the check, the actual English shop terms route shows maintenance instead of a contract; its Serbian maintenance page advertises a planned 1 November reopening, not completed sales access. Read the actual dated product and full terms before paying; no checkout was submitted.
The operator’s skier code requires controlled speed appropriate to skill, weather, snow and traffic, priority for people below, adequate overtaking space and care at starts and intersections. Avoid stopping in narrow or poorly visible places. Raise the alarm after an accident and identify yourself to the rescue service; this guide does not promise a response time.
Conflicting sources: the English code requires helmets for children under 12, while the Serbian wording says children up to 12. Follow the stricter local instruction and ask staff about the exact age boundary; wearing a suitable helmet is prudent for every skier and snowboarder. The code prohibits private snowmobiles and skiing while impaired.
The operator warns that skiing outside the managed slopes or on ungroomed terrain can result in pass cancellation. Obey closure signs and staff instructions; do not use closed pistes or after-hours grooming areas as a shortcut. A rule for someone forced to walk along a piste edge is not recreational uphill permission.
Unconfirmed: any permitted uphill/touring corridor and hours, a current grooming timetable, a dedicated local emergency/patrol number, night-skiing arrangements and individual assisted evacuation have not been established. Ask staff for the current emergency procedure, suitable open terrain and the complete return before ascending. The map is not navigation, avalanche advice or an assurance of safe passage.
The ski-centre contact page gives +381 31 315 00 07 and call-service hours of 08:00–15:30. These are published contact hours, not lift hours or an emergency-response service. Use the centre to establish your actual base, available terrain, currently authorized school and return arrangements.
The English school page lists Sport Service on +381 62 883 55 00. The Serbian school directory lists Fantasy, Ski Art i Raft, Sport Service and Avantura Zlatibor and says teaching is restricted to instructors engaged through schools contracted with the operator. Confirm current authorization, discipline, language, equipment, lesson meeting point and pass requirements rather than assuming the English list is exhaustive or the archive photograph is a current offer.
Unconfirmed: current rental stock/prices and fitting, lesson availability/prices, childcare, adapted skiing, accessible toilets and an uninterrupted step-free boarding and return chain have not been verified. Arrange suitable assistance and any evacuation requirements in advance. Confirm equipment-return time separately from the last lift, and do not assume lessons or hire are included in a ski pass.
Selected historical name and local-grade references only. The coverage note explains the unavailable current official plan. This list establishes neither the full inventory nor current opening or access.
