Explore mapped pistes and lifts, compare the official plans and choose the right starting base. Check current opening separately.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Sunburst Express, Burfield, Crystal, Elevation and West Bowl Express follow separate hours.
Upper alpine and forested terrain; boundaries and permanent closures are marked on the official map.
Access: Sundance Express rises from the central village.
Named trails and learning infrastructure around a separate chairlift sector.
Access: Morrisey Express and Orient serve the eastern side of the map.
Forested alpine trails with separate base and East Village services.
Use the official village map to identify Village Day Lodge, P3 and the pedestrian approach. The general village pin is not a guaranteed entrance or accessible arrival route.
Tod Mountain / West Bowl, Sundance and Morrisey / Orient have different lifts and hours. Choose the mountain sector and its return connection when planning the day.
Respect permanent closures and the ski-area boundary. Uphill hiking, skinning and snowshoeing within the ski area are prohibited; the community map does not grant an alternative ascent.
Inspected winter map with named alpine trails, local grading, lifts, boundaries, permanent closures and separate connectors. Not a live opening or grooming report.

The planned 2026/27 public season runs from 21 November to 4 April, subject to conditions. The operator advertises 144 trails across Tod, Sundance and Morrisey; this guide documents only three selected named alpine trails from its current official map. The separate Nordic network is outside this resort record. Uphill travel within the ski-area boundary is prohibited.
Official 2026/27 alpine map
Three selected trails with local grades
Uphill travel is prohibited
Sun Peaks groups alpine terrain around Tod, Sundance and Morrisey mountains. Its official statistics advertise 4,400 acres and 144 trails, including 16 glades. Those resort-wide figures are separate from the three selected named trails documented here. The Nordic network has its own map, trailhead and access rules and is outside this alpine record.
The inspected 2026/27 alpine map labels green-circle trails Easiest, blue-square trails More Difficult, black-diamond trails Most Difficult and double-black trails Expert. The selected 5 Mile, Cruiser and Headwalls rows retain those local grades. A trail’s appearance on the map does not establish current opening or grooming. The map also distinguishes ski-out connectors, slow zones, terrain parks, boundaries and permanently closed areas.
The operator lists 13 lifts, comprising eight quad chairlifts and five surface lifts. Sunburst Express and Sundance Express rise from the central village base; Morrisey and Orient serve a different part of the resort. West Bowl Express has its own closing time. Follow the current lift report rather than assuming that every mapped connection operates together.
The public season is planned for 21 November 2026–4 April 2027, subject to weather, snow and operations. Through 31 January, Sunburst Express is scheduled 09:30–16:00, Sundance Express 09:00–16:15 and West Bowl Express 10:00–15:45. From 1 February their starts move to 09:00, 08:30 and 09:30 respectively; closing times stay the same. Other lifts differ. The status and hours pages still retain a closure announcement dated 6 April 2026, and the linked grooming reports are from April. They do not establish fresh October skiing conditions.
A scoped 1 November 2026 check found all 169 actual live alpine lift/trail status rows explicitly closed. This is a finite snapshot of skiing availability, separate from the older 6 April closure notice.
Unconfirmed: the planned 21 November 2026–4 April 2027 alpine season remains subject to conditions and does not establish a confirmed future skiing period, an open trail count or a final return for your visit.
The operator’s current winter village map places P3 beside Village Day Lodge, below Sunburst Express and Sundance Express. Its website links a resort location pin near this central base; our pin is approximate planning context rather than a surveyed entrance, reserved parking space or guaranteed accessible route. Follow the marked P3 approach and current signs.
The winter parking page lists free day parking in P1, P2, P3, P5 and P6, with P3 for Village Day Lodge and Guest Services. Street parking is prohibited from 1 November to 30 April. Overnight parking uses a designated part of P5 under separate conditions. The map recommends the lit Valley Trail network instead of walking along Sun Peaks Road.
The shuttle page still shows the completed 2025/26 season, so its departures must not be used as a 2026/27 timetable. The accessibility page says the complimentary in-resort shuttle is not wheelchair accessible. Snow and ice affect village routes; contact Guest Services about current conditions and individual transport. At Village Day Lodge, an elevator key for lower-level accessible washrooms is available through the Activities Desk or Masa’s Restaurant.
The official ticket page distinguishes full-day alpine access, half-day tickets from 11:45 and afternoon tickets from 13:45. Learning Zones tickets are restricted to the Learning Zone Carpet, Village Carpet and Village Platter. Full-day and half-day alpine tickets include same-day Nordic access, but the two networks remain separate identities.
A date-specific adult alpine price could not be verified: the linked store returned an access error at this check. Select your visit date and age category in the official store or ask Guest Services; no one-day tariff is asserted here. The public terms state Canadian dollars, additional applicable taxes and a CAD 5 Mountain Card for each ticket holder, reloadable on later visits. Tickets are generally non-refundable and non-transferable. Check current exceptions before buying.
Pick up a first RFID Mountain Card using the order-confirmation barcode at Village Day Lodge, East Village Centre or a listed contactless kiosk during its operating hours. An existing card can be reloaded. Ticket purchase does not guarantee snow, a particular lift total or access to closed terrain.
The operator expressly prohibits hiking, snowshoeing and skinning uphill within the ski-area boundary, including outside public operating hours. Closed runs and permanently closed areas remain prohibited. Grooming machines, winch cables and avalanche work can be present at any time. A mapped trail or a closed lift does not authorize uphill access.
Glades are not regularly patrolled and contain tree wells, concealed obstacles and snow-immersion hazards. Ski with a partner and keep one another in sight. Terrain outside the resort boundary is unpatrolled, lacks regular avalanche control and can have little or no phone reception; the operator states that its patrol does not provide assistance outside that boundary. This profile does not recommend a backcountry route.
For an on-mountain accident contact Sun Peaks Patrol Dispatch at +1 250 578 5521. The official map also gives 911 for emergencies. Save the number before setting out, follow posted instructions and obtain a current local weather and avalanche assessment for any separately planned backcountry travel.
Guest Services is in Village Day Lodge by P3: +1 250 578 5474, guestservices@sunpeaksresort.com. Its posted hours are 09:00–16:00 through 7 November, closed on 8 November, then 09:00–16:00 from 9–20 November. Planned winter service hours change again on opening day; check the complete official table for your arrival date.
The Activities Desk in Village Day Lodge handles activity information and lost property at +1 250 578 5542. The rental directory lists Sun Peaks Rentals beside Sunburst/Sundance, plus independent village rental and tuning businesses. Check availability, equipment fit, lesson places and shop hours directly. Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks works with Sports School; arrange individual support in advance. East Village Centre’s Nordic facilities are distinct from the central alpine base.
Selected source-checked references only. Use the complete official plan for the network; this list is not the resort’s total piste count or live opening report.
