Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Independent ODbL community geometry covers the Brixen-managed downhill corridors around Hochbrixen, Zinsberg, Joch and Filzboden, the SkiWeltbahn connection towards Choralpe and the separate Schusterbühel practice slope. Neighbouring Hopfgarten, Söll, Scheffau and Westendorf networks, unidentified ways and community-tagged backcountry routes are omitted. The Streif and Joch 6b community ways are excluded because of their backcountry tags. Areas are shaded footprints, never descents along their perimeters. Community names and segmented ways are not a reconciled operator inventory or the whole SkiWelt. Generic difficulty stays grey without a confirmed literal local colour. The conservative snapshot is the earliest original canonical OSM API tile HTTP response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp. Unconfirmed: the operator winter-map service is accessible, but its artwork edition, exact geometry comparison and preview or reproduction rights are not established; operator artwork is omitted. Geometry never establishes current skiing, permission, grooming, avalanche safety, navigation or a complete return.
Access: Gondola Hochbrixen no. 1 starts at Liftweg 1. Zinsbergbahn, Kälbersalvenbahn and Filzbodenbahn form distinct onward links when operating.
The operator describes mountain practice lifts, varied Kälbersalven terrain and connections towards Hopfgarten, Söll and Scheffau. A cross-area trip requires all necessary pistes and lifts to be open.
02
SkiWeltbahn / Choralpe approach
Access: SkiWeltbahn no. 11 starts at Erlenseeweg 1 and goes towards Choralpe and Westendorf.
The Kandler descent includes red and black passages. It is not a beginner return simply because the gondola accepts pedestrians.
03
Village practice areas / Schusterbühel
Access: The operator distinguishes practice facilities beside the valley stations and the separate Schusterbühellift. Agree the exact meeting point with the school.
Schusterbühel’s advertised floodlit slope is a separate evening product. Unconfirmed: its final 2026/27 dated night programme and current availability are not established.
01
Start: choose Hochbrixen or SkiWeltbahn
Hochbrixen no. 1 at Liftweg 1 goes to Hochbrixen; SkiWeltbahn no. 11 at Erlenseeweg 1 goes towards Choralpe and Westendorf. Match your school and equipment to the correct base.
02
Connect: check every onward link
Kälbersalvenbahn, Zinsbergbahn and Filzbodenbahn serve different onward journeys towards Hopfgarten, Söll and Scheffau. Those neighbouring networks are not the complete local Brixen map or an assured open crossing.
03
Return: agree final boarding before crossing
Unconfirmed: exact last skier boarding, downloading entitlement and the complete cross-area return are not established. Ask staff for every necessary lift, piste and onward bus before leaving your base.
Choose your valley gondola, lesson meeting point and return before boarding. This local guide covers Brixen’s managed alpine scope, with the future winter 2026/27 plan kept separate from actual daily operation.

Choose a local area before planning a SkiWelt crossing
This profile covers Brixen’s managed alpine corridors around Hochbrixen, Zinsberg, Joch and Filzboden, the SkiWeltbahn approach to Choralpe and the separate village practice scope. The wider SkiWelt’s 275 km and 81 lifts are network figures, not the inventory of this local profile. Westendorf, Hopfgarten, Söll and Scheffau remain distinct neighbouring areas.
The operator identifies Hochbrixen practice lifts for first turns, Kälbersalven descents for carving and Kandler terrain with red and black passages. Match an actually open learner area to the lesson; a gondola ride across the valley is not a beginner itinerary. Follow local signed grades and closures rather than treating community difficulty as a universal colour.
Unconfirmed: the complete currently open local piste set, every cross-area connection and a continuous descent to either valley base are not established. The independent map omits neighbouring networks, unresolved geometry and community-tagged backcountry routes; community way segments and shaded areas are not a piste count or a safe route.
Historical: this genuine 16 January 2013 photograph shows the Hochbrixen gondola station and snow-covered car park. It does not establish current snow, parking availability, lift configuration or opening. Original JPEG retained; responsive CSS display crops only.
Keep Hochbrixen, SkiWeltbahn and final boarding separate
Hochbrixen no. 1 leaves Liftweg 1 towards the Hochbrixen side. SkiWeltbahn no. 11 leaves Erlenseeweg 1 towards Choralpe and Westendorf. The operator names Kälbersalvenbahn, Zinsbergbahn and Filzbodenbahn as important onward links towards Hopfgarten, Söll and Scheffau; confirm each required installation and connecting piste before crossing.
The announced Brixen winter programme runs from 5 December 2026 to 29 March 2027, with earlier skiing possible only if sufficient snow permits. Hochbrixen lists 08:30–16:00 through 29 January and 08:30–16:15 from 30 January. SkiWeltbahn lists 08:00–16:15, changing to 08:00–16:45 on 30 January. These are future operating windows, not verified final skier boardings or a current opening guarantee.
The separate early-bird plan starts at 07:30 on Friday and Saturday from 12 February to 29 March 2027, subject to change, on SkiWeltbahn and selected lifts in Brixen and Westendorf. Hochbrixen is not listed among the participating early-bird lifts. Schusterbühel’s floodlit slope is separate again. Historical: the Schusterbühel night page still prints an end in March 2025 alongside a 25 December 2025–5 March 2026 table; neither establishes the 2026/27 evening dates.
Unconfirmed: exact last skier boarding, downloading entitlement and the complete return across all required lifts and pistes are not established. Obtain them from staff before leaving the base and allow time for queues and your equipment return. The Ellmau extension to 4 April does not extend Brixen’s published season.
Match the final journey to the correct valley station
The operator identifies Brixen im Thale station for rail arrival, with Wörgl and St. Johann as other regional starting points followed by bus or taxi. Choose the actual onward journey to Hochbrixen at Liftweg 1 or SkiWeltbahn at Erlenseeweg 1; a railway destination alone does not establish a suitable walk with equipment.
The official ski-bus page says its ski buses are free for skiers in ski gear with a valid ski pass, while some regional services also require a guest card. Confirm the specific route, dated winter timetable and eligibility. A published 2025/26 PDF is historical and cannot establish the final 2026/27 departures.
The road page identifies the A12/Wörgl approach and advises checking Austrian motorway toll requirements. Hochbrixen’s own entry lists free parking. Unconfirmed: live road conditions, spaces, every parking restriction, final bus departure and a continuous step-free transfer to both gondolas are not established. Check the current journey and personal access needs before travel.
The published 2026/27 SkiWelt table lists an adult one-day pass at €71.50 for 5–18 December and 13–29 March, and €79.50 for 19 December–12 March. The table defines children as birth years 2011–2020, youth as 2008–2010 and children born in 2021 or later as free. Verify the actual date, proof of age and selected product before payment.
A SkiWelt pass and the separately priced KitzSkiWelt or supra-regional products have different coverage. The operator distinguishes skiing passes, pedestrian single rides and the winter walking pass. A pedestrian gondola ticket does not establish skiing entitlement, and network pass coverage does not make every area accessible by an open ski connection.
The opening-weekend promotion gives a different free-child/youth scope for 5–6 December and requires collection with age proof; online club discounts have separate advance-booking conditions. Unconfirmed: the full cancellation/refund terms, any deposit, every special-product restriction and your individual download entitlement are not established here. Read the applicable linked terms and final checkout before purchase.
Use only opened managed pistes, control speed for visibility and traffic, respect people below you and keep stopping places visible. Obey staff and closure signs. The official safety page lists alpine rescue 140 and European emergency 112; tell rescuers the exact piste or lift and your location, and follow their instructions.
The operator prohibits ski touring in Brixen apart from the stated Götschen descent 16a exception, where ascent must be single file at the edge. Its same guidance prohibits touring before and after the winter season. This guide is an alpine profile and does not publish an uphill itinerary or imply that the exception is open today.
Winch-grooming cables and machinery make closed or out-of-hours slopes dangerous. Do not enter closed pistes, follow tracks beyond the managed area or use community geometry as navigation or avalanche advice. Unconfirmed: individual rescue response, current avalanche conditions, every adaptive-equipment boarding arrangement and a complete safe final return are not established. Agree assistance with the operator before travelling.
Arrange school, equipment and assistance at the same base
The operator’s directories list ski schools and rental services by SkiWelt village, including a Brixen school entry at Liftweg 1. Agree the exact lesson meeting point, learner lift, equipment fitting, collection and final return with the chosen provider. A directory entry is not a booking, available stock or an assurance that every practice facility is open.
The official safety page allows adaptive skiing such as monoski in Brixen and requires adequate control of the chosen equipment. This does not establish a continuous step-free journey, compatible boarding on every chair or surface lift, an escort or evacuation arrangements. Unconfirmed: individual equipment compatibility, transfer assistance, accessible toilets and guaranteed personal support are not established.
Bergbahnen Brixen lists Liftweg 1, 6364 Brixen im Thale, telephone +43 5334 8507; SkiWeltbahn uses Erlenseeweg 1. Ask about the actual base, restaurant and toilet opening, lesson and rental arrangements and your final return before payment. Unconfirmed: current stock, service prices, opening of every hut and depot availability are not established.
Selected source-checked references only. Use the complete official plan for the network; this list is not the resort’s total piste count or live opening report.
04 / AT THE BASE
Facilities that change the day.
The operator lists practice facilities in the valley and on Hochbrixen, school and rental directories, and restaurants in the local area. The safety page allows adaptive skiing such as monoski in Brixen, subject to adequate control; individual boarding, equipment and assistance still need agreement. Hochbrixen’s official entry lists free parking. A listing does not reserve a space or establish every winter walking condition.
