Sestriere is a high mountain skiing base in Piedmont’s Cottian Alps, with village and Borgata terrain forming one Italian sector of the wider Vialattea area.
Independent ODbL geometry covers selected managed Sestriere village, Sises, Borgata, Banchetta and the Sestriere–Fraiteve passenger link. The separate Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Claviere, Montgenèvre and Pragelato networks, private school carriers, abandoned or unidentified pistes and backcountry lines are omitted. The Pattemouche cableway is not included: choose its separate Pragelato base and return independently. Community ways are segments, not the official piste or lift inventory. Generic OSM difficulty stays grey without a literal source colour or verified exact local reference. The snapshot clock is the canonical OSM API response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp. Unconfirmed: the operator landing labels its ski map 26/27, but the artwork, exact geometry comparison and remote-preview or reproduction rights have not been verified. The landing page is linked for reference; no operator artwork is copied or embedded. This map provides planning context only, without navigation, avalanche, current opening or return guarantees.
Access: Cit Roc, Garnel, Sises and the village beginner facilities have different roles; match your pass and lesson meeting point.
Choose terrain using current signs and your ability, without treating race history as public access.
02
Borgata and Banchetta
Access: The operator identifies Borgata, Nuova Nube, Nube d’Argento and the Banchetta side separately from the village.
Check the complete connection back to your chosen base, including any final downloading requirement.
03
Sestriere–Fraiteve connection
Access: The Sestriere–Fraiteve gondola reaches the ridge serving connections toward other Vialattea sectors.
A shared pass does not establish an open connection, a border crossing or a guaranteed return.
01
Start: Sestriere village or Borgata
Choose the actual village or Borgata lift, lesson and rental meeting point. The approximate village pin is not a surveyed entrance or parking space, and beginner tickets have a narrower carrier scope.
02
Connect: check the Fraiteve link separately
The gondola reaches the ridge toward other Vialattea sectors. Pragelato’s Pattemouche cableway and French Montgenèvre are separate starting/management scopes, not an assumed extension of every local ticket.
03
Return: verify every required carrier
Unconfirmed: current daily Sestriere and Borgata lift hours, final skier boarding, downloading conditions and the last complete return are not established by the reviewed winter launch pages. Check each required carrier and piste with staff before leaving your starting base.
Plan from the correct Sestriere or Borgata base, distinguish the Fraiteve connection and wider international skipass, and confirm every lift needed for your return. The independent map keeps neighbouring networks separate.

Keep Sestriere separate from the wider ski area
The operator places Sestriere at 2,035 m and identifies Borgata, Banchetta, Motta and the village slopes as local landmarks. The village and Borgata are different starting choices; confirm where your accommodation, lesson and intended lift are located before carrying equipment across the resort.
Vialattea extends through several Italian resorts and French Montgenèvre. Its advertised area totals and lift counts describe a wider network, and different operator pages use different totals. This guide deliberately avoids turning those figures, Olympic venues or community way segments into an audited Sestriere inventory.
The operator describes a village First Steps Area for beginners and families. The actual beginner ticket lists only specific carriers, while race terrain and steeper descents require appropriate ability and an open daily route. Follow local signs rather than a universal conversion of community difficulty tags.
Unconfirmed: the operator landing labels its ski map 26/27, but the artwork, exact geometry comparison and remote-preview or reproduction rights have not been verified. The landing page is linked for reference; no operator artwork is copied or embedded.
Historical: SchiDD’s June 2000 panorama shows Sestriere in summer, including its buildings and surrounding slopes. It is context photography, not evidence of current lifts, winter snow or public access. Original photograph retained under CC BY-SA 4.0; responsive display crops only.
The operator programme names Cit Roc, Sises, Garnel, Trebials, Baby and Jolly facilities, Principi and the Sestriere–Fraiteve gondola. Borgata-side references include Nube d’Argento, Nuova Nube, Orsiera, La Motta and Chisonetto–Banchetta. Names identify individual infrastructure, without asserting that every carrier operates together.
The Fraiteve ridge links toward Sauze d’Oulx and Sansicario in the wider network. Pattemouche–Anfiteatro starts from the separate Pragelato side; it is not the village gondola. Montgenèvre and Bardonecchia also have distinct management and ticket conditions. Check both the outward link and every required return before extending a local day.
Unconfirmed: the operator announces a 5 December 2026–11 April 2027 winter season. Individual lifts have separate planned dates or operate as needed; this is not evidence of skiing today, every sector opening together or a complete return.
Unconfirmed: current daily Sestriere and Borgata lift hours, final skier boarding, downloading conditions and the last complete return are not established by the reviewed winter launch pages. Check each required carrier and piste with staff before leaving your starting base.
Unconfirmed: the operator plans floodlit Kandahar skiing for winter 2026/27 but has not announced its dates or opening times. Do not infer a night session from the floodlights, season-pass inclusion or this map.
The operator’s approach from Turin follows the A32 to the Oulx bypass exit, then the road toward Sestriere. From Pinerolo it names the SR23; from Briançon it describes the Montgenèvre–Cesana–Sestriere road approach. Check current road restrictions, winter equipment and weather for your actual route.
Oulx is the operator-listed railway connection, followed by a bus to Sestriere. The page gives approximate journey descriptions rather than a dated service contract. Verify trains, bus stops, connection margins and accommodation transfers directly; a broad travel-time estimate does not confirm the last return.
Unconfirmed: the final dated 2026/27 Oulx–Sestriere bus timetable, last bus, equipment carriage and accessible transfer are not established. Check the exact outward and return journeys with the transport provider; the approximate village pin is not a lift entrance or reserved parking.
Unconfirmed: a personally suitable lesson, adapted equipment, accessible boarding and complete assisted return have not been established. The operator requires assistance and equipment compatibility to be arranged before buying the transport ticket.
Match the Italian, international or beginner product
The default online 2026/27 Italian Vialattea table lists a one-day adult price of EUR 52 in low season, EUR 58.50 in high season and EUR 60 at peak. It separates low-season bands from 5–23 December, 7–22 January and 15 March–11 April, high season 23 January–14 March and peak 24 December–6 January. Confirm your date and current checkout price; these are online listings rather than a promised counter fare.
The Italian product lists Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Claviere and Pragelato. Montgenèvre requires the appropriate international scope. A shared ticket never establishes an open cross-sector connection or guarantees a return; check the exact included days, facilities and conditions before paying.
The separate Sestriere Beginners product lists Jolly and Principi carpets. Its published online prices are EUR 17, EUR 20.50 and EUR 21 across the three price bands. The broader Invito allo sci product includes additional named Baby, Trebials, Capret and Garnel facilities; neither is the unrestricted international product.
Conflicting sources: the tariff table defines Baby as born in 2018 or later and Gold as born in 1950 or earlier, while the FAQ uses 2019 or later and 1951 or earlier. Confirm the applicable 2026/27 birth-year rule and identity evidence before purchasing.
The pass is personal and cannot be shared or transferred. Review the current sales and lift-use conditions, insurance, collection method and identity requirements. The FAQ describes Print&Ski QR collection and a separate personalised Skicard; do not assume a pedestrian round trip, insurance or every card charge is included.
Respect closures, equipment rules and assistance needs
The operator’s current rules require an approved protective helmet and third-party liability insurance. Follow staff instructions, posted closures and lift restraint rules; choose speed and terrain for your ability, visibility, snow and traffic. Do not enter closed race or training areas merely because a mapped line passes through them.
The rules restrict piste use outside the operating period and prohibit unauthorised walking or uphill travel on downhill pistes except the stated emergency case. Grooming and maintenance can make closed terrain dangerous. The independent map excludes backcountry lines and provides no avalanche assessment, navigation instruction or permission for off-piste travel.
For assistance, the rules require advance planning with the operator and compatibility checks for specific aids. Arrange those details before buying a ticket and allow for lift stoppage, altitude and evacuation. Contacting the general office does not establish an active patrol response, rescue cost coverage or an individually accessible return.
Unconfirmed: current daily Sestriere and Borgata lift hours, final skier boarding, downloading conditions and the last complete return are not established by the reviewed winter launch pages. Check each required carrier and piste with staff before leaving your starting base.
Unconfirmed: a personally suitable lesson, adapted equipment, accessible boarding and complete assisted return have not been established. The operator requires assistance and equipment compatibility to be arranged before buying the transport ticket.
Turismo Torino’s local directory lists Scuola Nazionale Sci Sestriere, Preskige, Yes Academy, Freewhite, Scuola Sci Vialattea Sestriere, Scuola Sci Borgata and Scuola Sci Olimpionica. These are distinct providers and meeting points; confirm the lesson discipline, age, ability, language and exact base directly.
The rental directory includes Marcellin Sport, TecnoSport, Ski Golf Rent da Cristina, Archimede and other local outlets. Reserve fitting and collection with the chosen business, and ask about equipment suitability, deposits, storage and the last return time. A directory listing neither reserves stock nor establishes assistance.
The operator publishes +39 0122 799411 and Piazza Agnelli 4, 10058 Sestriere for general contact. Check its current ticket and service channels for the actual travel day. Office access and a published telephone number are separate from emergency assistance, lift operation and accessible boarding.
Unconfirmed: a personally suitable lesson, adapted equipment, accessible boarding and complete assisted return have not been established. The operator requires assistance and equipment compatibility to be arranged before buying the transport ticket.
Selected source-checked references only. Use the complete official plan for the network; this list is not the resort’s total piste count or live opening report.
04 / AT THE BASE
Facilities that change the day.
Tourism Torino lists separate Sestriere ski schools and rental businesses; reserve the actual provider, base, fitting and collection time. Use the operator’s current ticket-office and collection-point information; a round-trip pedestrian ticket is not a ski pass. Arrange assistance and equipment compatibility with the operator before purchase; a concession does not establish accessible boarding.
