Plan Maribor/Bellevue and Areh as distinct alpine starting areas, with a sourced connection warning, independent map, practical transport and ticket guidance, and clear limits on current skiing.
076MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore the independent community map and practical starting bases. Read the coverage limits and check current opening and access with the operator.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Unconfirmed: the operator map page is linked separately, but a current artwork edition and lawful inline preview have not been verified; no operator artwork is reproduced in this guide. Independent managed-alpine community geometry covers the Maribor/Bellevue and Areh sectors; generic difficulty stays grey. Connections are subject to the dated landslide warning and no continuous ski route is promised. Nordic, touring, sledding, technical/private/disused and unverified Partizanka 2/Cojzarica II and hiking-tagged Markova geometry are excluded. Segments are not resort inventory, live opening, access permission or navigation. The four canonical API tiles retain original bytes and separate provenance; their snapshot times are HTTP response dates, not Overpass replication timestamps.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Valley gondola and Maribor-side passenger facilities; confirm current service and descent.
Learning and managed alpine terrain; valley skiing depends on sufficient snow.
Access: Separate higher starting area and Ruška/Pisker facilities; road transfer requires verification.
Managed alpine scope; Nordic, sledding and touring remain separate.
The pin is the valley gondola planning reference at Maribor. Bellevue/Bolfenk is reached by that gondola; Areh is a separate higher base. Book the exact rental/lesson location and agree its arrival before setting out.
Conflicting sources: the general skiing page describes snow-dependent links between Mariborsko Pohorje and Areh, while the homepage warning under Videc, dated 1 November 2026, says connections are closed because of landslides. Do not attempt the connection; ask the operator which signed sectors and road transfers are actually available.
Unconfirmed: today’s valley descent, last suitable passenger lift and complete return to your own base or pickup were not established. Čopova and the Snow Stadium descent require sufficient snow; do not assume you can ski to the city or cross between sectors. Agree an available return with staff before ascending. Unconfirmed: the actual 2026/27 Bellevue–Areh ski-bus dates, stops, fare, accessibility and final return were not verified. The advertised inter-sector service is distinct from city bus G6 to the valley gondola station. Confirm both directions for your travel date before relying on either connection.

Mariborsko Pohorje with Areh is a managed alpine ski area above Maribor in Slovenia. The Maribor side rises from the valley gondola and Snow Stadium towards Bellevue/Bolfenk; Areh is a separate higher starting area around Ruška, Cojzarica and Pisker. This guide covers marked alpine skiing and snowboarding, keeping Areh Nordic trails, sledding, summer cycling and touring distinct.
Conflicting sources: the same skiing page retains piste tables totalling 34,925 m and 34,975 m, with different Miranova and Pisker numbering. Its approximate 35 km, 13 lifts and three carpets are advertised area totals, not a surveyed inventory or counts of independent map segments.
The operator’s text lists blue beginner, red intermediate and black advanced pistes. Turistična, Andrejeva and the Bellevue learning area illustrate its blue category; Mariborski slalom and Pisker are listed red, Jonatan and Markova black. Follow actual local signs and closures; the independent community map is not a universal grade conversion or a complete current piste list.
Historical: Jernej Furman’s genuine 17 December 2022 photograph shows snowy Mariborsko Pohorje with chairlift and snowmaking infrastructure. The original CC BY 2.0 JPEG is unchanged, with responsive display crops. It does not establish current snow, open terrain, lift condition or access.
Pohorska vzpenjača is the valley gondola approach to Bellevue/Bolfenk. The operator lists a 328 m lower station and 1,042 m upper station, with an intermediate station added in 2023. The Maribor side also lists Radvanje, Poštela, Sleme and Stolp; Areh’s equipment list includes Ruška and Pisker chairs, surface lifts and learning facilities. Choose a base and open descent suitable for your ability.
The operator announces that the gondola will not run on 2–4 November 2026 for maintenance, or on 7 November from 09:00 to 12:00 for a rescue exercise. From 2 November it directs lower-station ticket sales to the machinery room while the usual office is renovated. Recheck these notices before travelling; they concern gondola access, not a confirmed skiing season.
Unconfirmed: a confirmed 2026/27 skiing start, end and current open-piste report were not established. The source pages show dated rows with placeholder status text and repeated nominal schedules. Gondola transport, snow-depth labels and season-pass validity do not establish skiing availability.
Unconfirmed: today’s valley descent, last suitable passenger lift and complete return to your own base or pickup were not established. Čopova and the Snow Stadium descent require sufficient snow; do not assume you can ski to the city or cross between sectors. Agree an available return with staff before ascending.
The operator’s valley contact address is Pohorska ulica 60, 2000 Maribor. It identifies city bus G6 Vzpenjača as the public-transport approach to the lower gondola station. The location pin is a valley planning reference, not a surveyed entrance, reserved parking space or accessible drop-off. An Areh booking needs its own agreed mountain arrival and pickup.
The published valley parking arrangements cover Vzpenjača 1, Vzpenjača 2 and Snežni stadion. Selected pass holders need the correct parking-ticket validation or eligible personalised pass; spaces remain subject to capacity. The page excludes the normal pass benefit during gondola maintenance and excludes motorhomes from free parking. Check the actual ticket and barrier instructions before leaving the car.
Conflicting sources: the parking page retains a June 2025 EUR 45 monthly table beside July 2026 contract-length rates of EUR 68.02, EUR 61.22 and EUR 57.82. Confirm the applicable contract and any ski-pass parking benefit; the general hourly car rate is listed separately at EUR 1.
Unconfirmed: the complete step-free parking or bus approach, individual lift assistance, suitable descent and evacuation arrangements were not verified. The operator advertises gondola access for people with mobility impairments, which does not establish accessibility of every ski sector, chair or inter-sector bus.
Allow for winter road conditions, equipment collection and the correct lesson check-in. Do not replace an unconfirmed ski bus with a summer timetable or assume the Bellevue and Areh names identify one interchangeable pickup point. Arrange a reliable return if the road connection or valley skiing is unavailable.
The 2026/27 season-pass table lists regular sale from 1 November 2026 at EUR 742 for adults, EUR 645 for youth/students/seniors and EUR 435 for children/eligible disabled users. Its Pohorka table lists EUR 450, EUR 380 and EUR 270 respectively. Pohorka excludes weekends, public holidays and designated school holidays; its night use depends on night skiing actually taking place.
The page defines adults as 19+, youth as 15–18.99 and children as 6–14.99; student and senior concessions require their stated evidence. Under-six children using equipment independently need an appropriate pass. The newer season-pass notes charge EUR 2 for a non-refundable chip card. Match age, proof, product, day/night use and exact facilities before purchase.
Historical: the daily-ticket table retained on the price page belongs to 2025/26, including adult EUR 42 weekday and EUR 46 weekend/holiday tickets. Those figures are not confirmed 2026/27 day rates. The newer season-pass table does not update every retained daily, touring or multi-day condition.
Unconfirmed: the retained 2026/27 multi-day note still refers to 2025/26, and the touring row contains a 2027 start with a blank amount. Do not use either as a verified current price or permission. Check the actual dated checkout and current conditions for cancellations, closures, unused tickets and refunds; no refund entitlement is promised here.
Obey the operator’s landslide connection warning, barriers and staff instructions. Slovenian Police guidance requires skiing within ability and conditions, observing signs, avoiding closed slopes and alerting guards or rescue services after an accident. Keep clear of grooming and snowmaking work. Wear a correctly fitted snow-sport helmet and confirm child-specific requirements with the operator.
Unconfirmed: the current permitted uphill time slots and exact routes were not established. The English winter page refers to designated slots, while price notes refer to resort operating hours. Obtain the current specific instruction; this alpine guide and map grant no touring, closed-piste or off-hours access.
The operator separates sledding and pležuh sessions from normal skiing: skiing and snowboarding are prohibited during the periods reserved for those descents. Areh Nordic loops, touring and terrain outside managed signed pistes are separate activities; no access permission, rescue coverage or safe route is supplied by this alpine map.
For an accident, alert the slope guard or rescue service promptly and identify your sector, nearest marked piste or lift and precise location. Use Slovenia’s emergency number 112 when urgent assistance is needed. The published general operator number +386 59 179 752 is an information contact, not a verified dedicated patrol line.
Intersport Pohorje advertises rental and ski servicing at both lower and upper gondola stations. Its published contacts are +386 31 243 404 / rent@enjoyment.si for the lower shop and +386 2 292 77 04 / rent.bellevue@enjoyment.si for the upper shop. Reserve the actual pickup base, equipment size and return arrangement; do not assume a rental includes a lift ticket or lesson.
The school page separates courses for children aged 4–6 and 6–14 from individual and family offerings. Its contact is +386 41 707 731 or info@enjoyment.si. Areh’s independent service/rental provider identifies the upper Ruška area at Lobnica 62, with +386 41 644 932 and rent@areh.si. These are distinct providers and meeting points.
Historical: the Intersport rental page retains 2025/26 prices and currently labels both gondola-station shops closed. Areh’s separate provider advertises weekend and holiday service at Ruška. Confirm the actual winter opening, equipment sizes, lesson meeting point and booking terms rather than treating these pages as same-day availability.
For resort access and current arrangements use info@visitpohorje.si or +386 59 179 752. The operator separately lists valley ticket office +386 83 889 999, upper office +386 59 179 755 and Areh +386 59 179 756. Confirm actual food, toilets, assistance, shop and lesson availability for the chosen base; general office hours are not ski-lift hours.
Selected historical name and local-grade references only. The coverage note explains the unavailable current official plan. This list establishes neither the full inventory nor current opening or access.
