Alpine skiing above Lofsdalen village in southern Härjedalen, with lower learning areas, upper mountain lifts and a separate eastern sector. This independent guide combines a licensed community map with practical planning and clear limits on current skiing, fares and the final return.
083MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore the independent community map and practical starting bases. Read the coverage limits and check current opening and access with the operator.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
Unconfirmed: the official piste artwork’s current edition and lawful preview basis have not been verified. The artwork is omitted, and the independent community geometry has not been compared with an inspected operator plan. Scoped OSM managed downhill centre lines and nine named passenger-lift alignments cover the lower base, upper Toppen and eastern sectors. Area outlines, unnamed peripheral paths and an unidentified carpet are omitted, along with Nordic, snowmobile, off-piste and technical/private/proposed/disused features. Segment counts are not an operator inventory; generic grades stay grey. No current opening, access, safe return or navigation is guaranteed. Snapshot time is the canonical API HTTP response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Lower community chair and surface-lift approaches.
Arrange the ticket, rental and lesson meeting point.
Access: Upper community Toppen Express and Toppen II alignments.
Check the open connection and return before ascending.
Access: Eastern community surface-lift sector.
Earlier advertised closing times affect the return.
The point marks the lower community Lången Express endpoint beside the Loffe and Snölandet approaches. Match the actual ticket, hire and lesson meeting point with the Guest Center; the point is not an entrance or accessibility survey.
Community alignments extend toward Toppen Express and Toppen II above Lången, with Bergsliften, Mellanliften and Tvären farther east. Names and alignments are source context, not an operator-plan match or proof of an open circuit. Check signed connections and eastern closing times.
Unconfirmed: final boarding, permitted download and the complete open return to your chosen base have not been established. Ask staff which signed connections you need before ascending; the earlier eastern-sector closing time matters when arranging a return. Arrange the separate road or public-transport return as well.
01 / FIELD OVERVIEW
Independent Lofsdalen ski guide with a licensed map, practical orientation, local safety rules and explicit season, fare and return uncertainties.
Lower Loffe and Snölandet learning areas
Upper Toppen and eastern Bergsliften–Tvären sectors
Local safety restrictions and genuine 2013 archive context
Lofsdalen’s managed downhill area rises above the village in southern Härjedalen. The operator advertises 25 slopes and nine lifts; these are operator totals, not a count derived from our community map. Nordic tracks, snowmobile trails and off-piste terrain are separate activities outside this profile’s map and access claims.
The lower Loffe and Snölandet area is distinct from upper Toppen and the eastern Bergsliften–Tvären side. Choose terrain using current signs and your ability. Generic community difficulty tags are not verified Swedish piste colours; unconfirmed grades remain grey.
The rendered operator report checked on 2 November 2026 says the season is closed and shows all nine lifts closed. Historical: contrary open marks remain in two hidden legacy tables, outside the visible report; they are not accepted as current skiing evidence. Unconfirmed: individual future piste openings and connections remain subject to the actual report and staff directions.
The advertised 11 December 2026–11 April 2027 plan lists Lången Express, Loffeliften, Snölandet and Toppen Express at 09:00–16:00. Bergsliften, Skogsliften, Mellanliften and Tvären close at 15:00 until week 6, then 16:00; Toppen 2 is described as backup. These are planning hours subject to weather and actual operation.
Unconfirmed: final boarding, permitted download and the complete open return to your chosen base have not been established. Ask staff which signed connections you need before ascending; the earlier eastern-sector closing time matters when arranging a return.
Wednesday evening skiing is advertised for weeks 52–15 on selected lifts and pistes, with weather-dependent changes. The separate evening ticket starts at 17:00. Confirm the actual day’s scope; the general timetable does not promise every carrier or an uninterrupted circuit.
The operator’s road approach runs through Sveg and Linsell, turning toward Lofsdalen at Linsell. Our planning point marks the lower OSM Lången Express endpoint, not a surveyed entrance, parking reservation or accessible boarding route. Agree the actual Guest Center meeting point before arrival.
The travel page suggests rail via Ljusdal or Sveg followed by bus or taxi, and advance booking for Härjedalingen. Arrival at Sveg can require a separately charged taxi. Its airport-bus advice requires booking by 17:00 on the preceding weekday; verify a dated service before relying on it.
Historical: the same page retains selected Thursday/Sunday direct-bus information explicitly for winter 2022/23. Unconfirmed: dated 2026/27 final connections, last return, airport transfers, parking charges and assisted transfers have not been established. Confirm both directions, luggage and the accommodation connection independently.
New passes are printed at machines outside the Guest Center using the booking QR code/number; reloaded Skidata cards activate at Lången Express or Snölandet. The published card charge is SEK 60 and non-refundable. The page says under-eights ski free with a helmet; confirm the required child ticket at collection.
Conflicting sources: the special-pass section labelled season 2027 quotes adult Wednesday evening SEK 230 and six-day parent SEK 3,245, while retained lower tables quote SEK 220 and SEK 3,090. Historical: the English day-pass block is explicitly 2025/26, including adult SEK 515 for one day; it does not establish a 2026/27 day fare.
The operator says Wednesday evening is included in a day pass but excluded from an afternoon pass. Ordinary passes are personal apart from the specified shared parent product. Unconfirmed: the current checkout total, closure/cancellation refunds and final eligibility terms have not been established. Check exact dates, product and terms before paying.
The operator prohibits uphill travel on pistes on foot, snowshoes, Nordic skis or touring skis with skins. After lifts and pistes close, the area is a worksite and visitors are not permitted there. Our map grants no night, uphill, off-piste or rescue-access permission.
Local rules prohibit children in back carriers on lifts and descents and require a snowboard retention leash. Sleds belong only in the designated sledging area. Private drone flying/filming is prohibited; ask in advance about unusual equipment. Choose speed and terrain for ability, conditions and other users, and obey closures and staff.
The safety page identifies patrol personnel in yellow/blue jackets as providing accident assistance. Unconfirmed: a current direct patrol dispatch number, rescue charges and individual evacuation arrangements have not been verified. Obtain the day’s accident-reporting procedure from staff; the ticket-office number is not a verified emergency line.
The Guest Center combines pass and ski-school reception, rental, sports shop and tourist information, with lockers, workshop and guest toilets below. Pass enquiries: +46 680 553 05. Ski school: +46 680 553 04 and skidskola@lofsdalen.com. Destination Lofsdalen lists Högbäcksvägen 3, 842 96 Lofsdalen, +46 680 413 50 and info@lofsdalen.com.
The rental page offers online booking at least two days before arrival and collection from 15:00 the previous day. Confirm fitting, category, collection and return; instruction is a separate booking. Unconfirmed: the current rental/lesson tariff year, availability and winter desk hours have not been established.
The adaptive page describes companion-pass documentation, a companion aged at least 16, and separate biski, sitski and licensed-skicart conditions. It lists two sitskis and one skicart for hire. Unconfirmed: individual equipment acceptance, assisted boarding, availability and the full accessible return need direct arrangement with the ski school.
