Lifts

Independent ODbL community geometry covers the Front, South, West, northeast and southeast managed downhill sectors around Levi fell, including Sammu, within the reviewed wider scope. The Sunny Express alignment is omitted because OSM explicitly marks it as old and needing correction; the new South t-bar and two position-uncertain learner carriers are also omitted. The backcountry-grooming-tagged 5.3 line is excluded. Community piste ways and area outlines are not the operator’s piste or commissioned-lift inventory, and generic difficulty remains grey without a verified local colour. Unconfirmed: exact current installation footprints, a complete connection to every base, final boarding and current access to each mapped slope are not established. The Glacier and Glacier Express training-pass restriction from 5 October to 30 November 2026 remains separate from public Front Slopes skiing. No operator artwork is copied or compared; the official interactive map remains an external link. Community geometry does not establish opening, grooming, patrol, access permission, safe navigation or a guaranteed return.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Front Slopes

Access: Zero Point village base; consult the daily report for the North chairlift and Express gondola.

The operator describes the main Front Slopes as red. The training-only Glacier area has separate ticket rules.

02

South Slopes

Access: South Point is a separate base with Ski Bus links and parking.

Family and beginner facilities and snowparks; availability follows the sector report, not the Front Slopes opening date.

01

Choose your starting base

Zero Point serves the Front Slopes at the village. South Point is a separate base; choose your lesson, service and parking area before travelling.

02

Understand the connections

The Front Slopes are described as red terrain by the operator. South Slopes have family and beginner facilities. The Glacier training area requires its own access arrangements.

03

Plan the return

Use the sector report and current Ski Bus information when planning a return to the other base. A general recreational pass does not grant access to the restricted training area.

01 / FIELD OVERVIEW

Know the hill before the first lap.

Levi reports that its 2026/27 ski season began on 2 October using stored snow at the Front Slopes, with further sectors opening as conditions allow. From 5 October to 30 November, the Levi Glacier area and Glacier Express chairlift are reserved for training groups with a training pass. The operator directs recreational skiers to the North chairlift and N.1 slope. This restriction does not describe access to every winter sector. The separately managed Nordic network is not included in this resort profile.

Zero Point village base

South Slopes form a separate sector

Terrain, sectors and local grades

Levi is an alpine resort around one fell, with Front, South, West, Northeast and Southeast sectors. The operator distinguishes blue, red and black slopes and dedicated beginner areas. Its main Front Slopes are red, so the village base should not be read as a blanket beginner recommendation. South Slopes and Leevilandia provide a different learning environment.

The operator reports a 2 October 2026 start on preserved snow at the Front Slopes. Other sectors open progressively; some unlit natural-snow runs normally wait until February. The linked winter map is the resort inventory reference. Individual piste rows are not transcribed into this profile, and neither the map nor a resort-wide total establishes what is open today.

Lifts, base areas and training access

Zero Point serves the village-side Front Slopes. The Express gondola and North chairlift connect this base with the upper Front Slopes; Glacier Express has a separate role in access to the training area. South Point is a distinct base with South chairlift and family facilities. The operator describes the new Sunny Express six-seat chairlift for 2026/27; its appearance in the winter inventory is not proof that it is operating now.

From 5 October to 30 November 2026, Levi Glacier and Glacier Express require a training pass or training season pass including the training-area fee. The pass page directs recreational skiers to North chairlift and N.1. Read the dated daily report for lift hours, reservations and weather interruptions; ticket-office hours are a separate service timetable.

The operator’s early-season display checked on 2 November 2026 lists Express gondola, North chairlift and Glacier Express at 09:30–19:00. This is a dated named-lift timetable, not a schedule for every lift or a future-date guarantee. Glacier Express and the glacier training slopes retain the separately published training-pass restriction from 5 October to 30 November 2026; the displayed hours do not remove that restriction. Ticket-office hours remain a separate service timetable.

Scoped 3 November 2026 source check: the operator describes public Front Slopes skiing and park access, with the separate Glacier training-pass restriction retained. Unconfirmed: a complete last-return chain and the open offer on a future date are not established. The independent current observation expires automatically; check the actual report before travel.

Arrival and transfers between bases

The map pin identifies Zero Point at Hissitie 8, beside the Front Slopes in Levi village. South Point is at Tievantie 2 and has its own parking area. Choose the correct base before planning a lesson, rental collection or transfer. A building pin does not reserve a parking space or identify a ski-run start.

The official Ski Bus page connects routes R1 and R2 at Zero Point. It lists hourly service for 30 October–11 November 2026, half-hourly service for 12 November 2026–2 May 2027, and extra R2 service every 15 minutes only for 30 November 2026–18 April 2027. Check the linked timetable for your stop. Ski passes and Leevilandia area tickets include the bus in 2026/27; scenic lift tickets do not.

Ticket scope and dated prices

The 2026/27 adult table, for ages 12–64, lists a one-day pass at €60 on site or €58.80 online. A SkiData KeyCard costs €8 separately and has no deposit. The €57 advance-online day price is conditional on buying at least 14 days ahead for the stated 1 December 2026–2 May 2027 period; it should not be applied to every date.

A recreational day pass does not replace the training-area pass required for Levi Glacier and Glacier Express during 5 October–30 November. Leevilandia admission and sightseeing products have different scopes. Read the current conditions, age bands and dated price table before buying; no ticket purchase or reservation has been made by index.ski.

Safety, closures and uphill movement

Choose terrain and speed for your ability, visibility and snow conditions. Respect closed slopes, training reservations and the current signs. The operator permits uphill touring only on routes it designates; an alpine pass or a map line does not create permission to ascend a closed piste. Walking and cycling on ski slopes are prohibited.

Ski Patrol staff wear red jackets. The published piste first-aid number is +358 44 367 4278; the national emergency number is 112. Assistance is also available through lift staff and the first-aid teams based at Zero Point and South Point. Wind, snowmaking and avalanche precautions can alter access; this guide is not a live safety bulletin.

Services and practical contacts

Zero Point brings together ticket sales, rental, ski service, ski school and shops at the Front Slopes. The published winter ticket-office hours are 09:00–18:30; rental and ski-service hours are listed separately. South Point has its own ticket, rental, service and school facilities. Check the dated report for which services are actually available in the chosen sector.

The operator lists Levi Ski Resort at Hissitie 8, telephone +358 20 7960200. Zero Point ticket sales use +358 20 7960 201 and South Point ticket sales +358 20 7960 204. These are public visitor-information contacts. Resort service hours and winter facilities do not establish the opening of every lift or the separately managed Nordic network.

SOURCE CHECKED

Training access, dated prices, separate base services and seasonal Ski Bus phases are documented. No live opening or complete transcribed piste inventory is claimed.
