Know the hill before the first lap.

A practical guide to the Jasná alpine resort, the official 2027 piste map and three selected named runs. Winter opening, fares and transport need a fresh trip-date check; conflicting and older operator information remains visible.

Chopok North and South: local grades and map scope

Jasná is an alpine resort on both sides of Chopok in the Low Tatras. Northern bases include Lúčky, Záhradky and Biela Púť; the southern approach reaches Krupová and Srdiečko. Choose the correct side before planning accommodation or arrival. The official Jasná 2027 map distinguishes groomed pistes, marked uphill routes and freeride zones; these are different types of terrain.

The operator advertises more than 51 km and a 40-piste inventory. The separate 2026/27 facilities PDF and newer 2027 map are planning inventories, not live reports. This guide documents three selected named pistes: blue 13 Biela Púť, red 1 Petra Vlhová and black 7 Majstrovská. Blue means easy, red medium and black difficult locally. The newly advertised blue 15 Rodinná and extra evening lighting remain plans until operation is confirmed.

Mountain links and winter timetable uncertainty

The map identifies A1 Priehyba–Chopok Funitel, A2 Kosodrevina–Chopok gondola, A3 Grand–Brhliská gondola, A5 Krupová–Kosodrevina gondola and A6 Biela Púť–Priehyba gondola, alongside chairlifts and surface lifts. Check your return connection before crossing between north and south. A development by Otupné–Luková is labelled OPEN 2027/2028; neither that label nor the older inventory proves current service.

The actual operating page checked on 28 October advertises Saturday–Sunday sightseeing cable cars from 08:30 to 15:00 at 30-minute intervals, with last descent from Chopok at 15:00. This is an autumn notice, not a winter ski timetable. The 27–28 November opening celebration is separately advertised, but complete 2026/27 ski operating dates and daily ski hours are not established here. Weather, works and individual lift restrictions can change access; reconfirm with the operator.

Separate valleys, parking conflicts and accessible travel

The northern road runs from Liptovský Mikuláš through Demänovská Dolina to Lúčky, Záhradky and Biela Púť. The southern approach comes from Banská Bystrica or Brezno through Bystrá to Krupová. The planning pin marks Biela Púť only. Follow current traffic signs and staff instructions and use snow chains when conditions require them.

P5 Pavčina Lehota is the northern park-and-ride alternative when upper car parks fill. P2 Biela Púť offers advance premium reservations through Gopass; Záhradky P3 is separately operated. The linked parking PDF labels Lúčky free, while the current road-access page describes a Gopass QR-code discount there. Capacities and some southern labels also differ. Check entrance signs and the final tariff, keep the entry ticket and pay before exiting. The operator says to leave by 21:10 for maintenance; campers are limited to official spaces.

The bus page links northern ski-bus information and a southern timetable explicitly named 2025/26. Do not treat that as a confirmed 2026/27 service; check dated departures and the final connection. The barrier-free page describes Biela Púť–Rotunda cable-car access largely in a summer context. Winter boarding, snow-cleared arrival, assistance, adaptive equipment and lessons need individual confirmation.

Check the actual ski product and current conditions

The operator directs online purchases to Gopass. Select the actual ski product, resort, date and age category, then read current validity, cancellation and card terms before payment. A pedestrian cable-car return, an opening-party ticket, a rental booking or a hotel promotion does not by itself establish general ski-pass coverage.

The rendered table inspected on 28 October shows sightseeing and bike products, and the linked general conditions cover summer 2026. An adult winter ski-day price and winter cancellation terms remain unverified. The touring page displays EUR 7 online, EUR 9 at the centre and EUR 99 for a season pass, but links 2025/26 conditions. Those are dated references, not confirmed 2026/27 offers. It describes exemptions from a separate uphill ticket for valid day ski passes and eligible season/hotel ski passes; confirm the current product and authorised route before relying on them.

Closed pistes, designated uphill routes and rescue

The operator’s White Code forbids piste entry before and after operation because grooming and snowmaking machines, especially winch cables, create serious danger. Respect closures and signs, adapt speed to conditions and avoid stopping in blind or narrow sections. The published code requires fastened helmets for skiers under 18 from 1 January 2026 and reflective elements for organised lessons involving children under 15. Ask the school where first lessons are permitted; several named sections are excluded.

Ski touring is restricted to designated routes, eligible tickets and permitted hours. The current touring page says Friday–Sunday 08:30–15:00 during the ski season and allows evening ascent only on 10 Chaletová when night skiing operates, but attaches 2025/26 terms. This mixed seasonal information is not confirmed winter permission or a current timetable. Recheck with patrol. Freeride symbols do not establish avalanche control or a safe route. Consult Mountain Rescue avalanche information and arrange appropriate expertise and equipment for mountain terrain.

The official map and first-aid page give Mountain Rescue emergency 18 300; the map also gives Ski Patrol Assistance +421 904 751 700. Report your exact location and follow instructions. The first-aid page lists Biela Púť medical providers, but this guide does not confirm current availability or charges. Arrange appropriate rescue and medical cover; a lift ticket does not establish that every cost is included.

Ski school, rental and direct operator support

The operator lists Tatry Motion ski school and Maxiland areas, equipment rental/service, customer centres and mountain restaurants. The 2027 map marks Rotunda, Kosodrevina and other restaurant locations alongside rental, service and depot points. Check individual opening and your return lift before relying on a mountain meal or collection time. Rental stock, lesson languages, childcare and adaptive equipment are unconfirmed.

Biela Púť customer centre: +421 907 886 644, info@jasna.sk. Krupová customer centre: +421 911 856 391, infojuh@jasna.sk. The contact page gives rental/service +421 911 389 476 and ski school +421 911 565 842. Customer-centre hours differ by day and season; reconfirm before travel. The photograph shows Chopok and Kamenná chata in February 2014, not today’s snow, operation or facilities.
