Lifts

Unconfirmed: the operator map page is linked separately, but a current artwork edition and lawful inline preview have not been verified; no operator artwork is reproduced in this guide. This independent ODbL map shows inspected community downhill and passenger-lift alignments on Idre Fjäll’s managed mountain, separate from Idre Himmelfjäll, Fjätervålen, Nordic networks and touring terrain. Chocken, backcountry-tagged Svarten 1, the historically closed Chockentransporten and snow-park objects are omitted. Older community lift names and duplicated alignments are not an operating inventory; gaps are not reconstructed. All piste lines remain grey because generic OSM difficulty is not a verified Swedish local colour. Geometry establishes no current opening, grooming, access permission or safe return. The snapshot is the canonical OSM API HTTP response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

West and Torget

Access: Central services and west-side learning context.

Confirm the actual beginner lesson and signed open access.

02

South

Access: Community Sydgondolen and south-base alignments.

Check boarding and a suitable return; sightseeing is not skiing proof.

03

North and east

Access: Nord 6:an, Talliften and east-side community alignments.

North preseason lifts are allocated to booked groups; no general public operation inferred.

01

Start from the base on your booking

Torget is the central service meeting point; Skicenter Väst, Skicenter Syd and the south gondola are distinct access references. Confirm rental, lesson and pass collection before unloading. Our point is the community-mapped central resort location, not a verified accessible entrance.

02

Plan within Idre Fjäll’s managed mountain

The community map retains west, north, east and south passenger alignments, including Sydgondolen. Nearby Himmelfjäll and Fjätervålen are separate mountains; neither a shared pass nor a bus description creates a ski connection. Confirm signed open sector transfers with staff; do not bridge unmapped gaps.

03

Confirm the complete return before boarding

Unconfirmed: final lift boarding, passenger download, sector return connections and current final bus or mountain-train departures are not established. Agree an ability-appropriate signed descent, equipment return and onward transfer before ascending; group-training and reception hours are not a public winter return plan.

Keep the managed alpine mountain distinct from its neighbours

Idre Fjäll is the managed alpine ski mountain at Gränjesvålen in Dalarna. The operator advertises skiing on different sides of the mountain and 41 slopes. That advertised total is distinct from the community-map way count. Idre Himmelfjäll and Fjätervålen are separate ski areas; shared bus stops or a regional pass do not make them a connected descent.

The west-side family learning area, the north training slopes, the south gondola access and the east-side lift alignments provide different starting choices. The operator places its snow park below Askebyn and describes green, blue, red and black feature lines. Those park labels do not grade the rest of the mountain or guarantee that a feature is currently usable.

Unconfirmed: a current complete operator-to-OSM piste-name and local-grade match is not established. Community downhill names are geographic context; generic difficulty tags are not converted into local colours. Chocken and backcountry-tagged Svarten 1 are excluded, as are Nordic, touring and snow-park objects. Stay with signed open terrain suited to your ability.

Distinguish public winter access from training allocation

The operator’s current hours page allocates Nord 6:an and Talliften to pre-booked training and competition groups during 2 November–18 December. The status page shows zero of 41 alpine slopes available and two lifts labelled for those groups only. Neither those lift labels nor the open Nordic training loop establish general-public alpine access. Nord 6:an is listed from 09:00 to 18:00. Talliften is listed from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday–Thursday. On Friday–Sunday, Talliften is listed from 07:00 to 19:00. Access to both lifts is exclusively for those booked groups. These training hours do not establish public alpine access or guarantee a complete journey back to your starting base.

The FAQ identifies 19 December 2026–4 April 2027 as the regular winter season with the full activity programme. The snow guarantee is a separate booking/refund condition, not evidence that every lift or slope opens on those dates.

Historical: the same FAQ still gives 1 December 2025 as a first-slope opening; that statement does not establish a 2026 opening.

Unconfirmed: the complete 2026/27 daily ski-lift timetable, final boarding, passenger download and final connection between sectors are not established. Before leaving your base, check the named lift, an open descent suitable for your ability and the whole return with staff. Do not use old OSM opening_hours or reception hours as a skier timetable.

Choose the correct base and confirm the final connection

Torget is the resort’s central reception, grocery and equipment-services meeting point. The operator identifies pass-collection kiosks at Torget, Skicenter Väst, Skicenter Syd and the Nord 6:an, Väst 6:an and Sydgondolen base stations. Confirm the meeting point on your booking: the resort location pin does not identify an accessible entrance or reserved parking space.

The operator describes winter coach travel and a rail approach through Mora with a separate onward bus. Check the actual outbound and return dates with the carrier, including skis, luggage and the last connection. For driving, check winter road conditions and equip the vehicle appropriately; the operator recommends carrying snow chains in winter.

Historical: Skidbussen’s linked site currently thanks passengers for the ended 2025/26 season; it does not publish a confirmed 2026/27 operating timetable.

Unconfirmed: current ski-bus departures, the last return, the Fjälltåget timetable and a complete step-free transfer chain are not established. The free mountain-train description is not a guarantee of a departure or an accessible connection.

Separate the chosen ski product from old season prices

The operator’s FAQ says pass prices vary through the season. Its current price page advertises online purchase discounts of 5%, or 10% when bought more than 40 days before arrival, while excluding season passes from combined discounts. Confirm the actual selected dates, age group, chip-card charge and product conditions in the booking system before paying.

Historical: the price page’s season-pass panel is explicitly labelled 2025/26, despite the surrounding 2026/27 rental headings. Its SEK 4,725 Idre Fjäll and SEK 5,290 regional-pass starting prices are not accepted here as current quotes. A regional product does not establish ski-in access between separate mountains.

Unconfirmed: a current complete 2026/27 ski-pass tariff, the exact individual product inclusions, rescue cover and winter refund terms are not established. The visible cancellation-protection summary applies to arrivals from 19 October–18 December 2026; do not apply it automatically to a later winter booking. Check the dated full contract and any snow-guarantee conditions for your own reservation.

Respect group-only access and closures before entering terrain

Obey the operator’s signed closures and staff instructions. Pre-booked training allocation is not public permission; do not enter a race or training lane or use a mapped lift solely because its geometry is visible. Confirm the descent and final return before boarding. The community map grants no uphill, after-hours, off-piste or touring permission.

The operator requires helmets for children. Its snow-park guidance advises a helmet and back protector, starting with easier features and waiting until the landing area is clear. Choose instruction appropriate to your ability and inspect the open feature before attempting it; park colour labels are not a personal suitability assessment.

For an emergency, the resort directs visitors to 112; give your precise position and follow the dispatcher’s instructions.

Unconfirmed: current dedicated piste-patrol dispatch, on-site medical hours, evacuation/download arrangements and included rescue costs are not established. The ski-stadium clinic is described as a high-season service; check availability and bring required medication, as the resort says there is no pharmacy in Idre.

Book the specific lesson, rental and assistance you need

Torget brings together reception, equipment rental, Mountain Sports and ICA grocery services. Booking is listed at +46 253 410 00 and bokning@idrefjall.se; equipment rental uses sportuthyrning@idrefjall.se. These are service contacts, not a dedicated ski-patrol number. Confirm the staffed department and current hours for your travel date.

The ski school offers group and private lessons and specifically describes adaptive sessions using sitski or dualski. Ask for the suitable instructor, equipment, meeting point and assistance before booking. An advertised adaptive lesson does not establish a complete step-free arrival, lift boarding, toilet provision or independent mountain access.

The guest-service page directs winter pre-booked equipment pickup and return to Sportuthyrning Syd during its regular hours, with pickup normally available from 15:00 the preceding day. Confirm the actual reservation and return deadline.

Unconfirmed: current lesson/rental availability, individual fitting and assistance, complete accessible facilities and a guaranteed last equipment-return service are not established.
