102MAPS / UNDERSTAND THE AREA
Explore mapped pistes and lifts, compare the official plans and choose the right starting base. Check current opening separately.
Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.
Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.
The independent community map covers named managed alpine pistes and passenger alignments around the Panorama summit side and the Ramrod, Penny Pitou, Pistol and Tiger sectors. It omits glades/backcountry, dedicated Blundersmoke/Sidearm park features, uphill and Nordic routes, ski jumps, tubing, zip lines, unnamed features and unconfirmed legacy identities. Grey geometry has no verified literal local colour. Shaded piste polygons are areas, never perimeter descents; segments are not the operator inventory. A line does not establish current access, patrol, grooming, lift carriage or a suitable final return. Snapshot time is the canonical OSM API HTTP response Date, not an Overpass replication timestamp. The official interactive page is an external link only; no operator artwork is copied or reproduced.
HOW THE AREA CONNECTS
Access: Panorama chair alignment from the main base.
Choose the actual open signed suitable descent; download is unconfirmed.
Access: Separate shorter passenger-chair alignments.
Confirm the suitable learning offer and meeting point with staff.
Access: Separate triple-chair alignments.
Check open connections, local grades and the final return before boarding.
Use 719 Cherry Valley Road and confirm the actual meeting point at the Main, Stockade or Resort Services Lodge. The pin marks the community Panorama lower-station area. Check parking, equipment collection and the walk to the appropriate learning lift.
Panorama’s higher summit side and the Ramrod, Penny Pitou, Pistol and Tiger alignments are distinct choices. Confirm each required open signed suitable connection. This map excludes parks, glades, uphill and Nordic routes and supplies no current access or universal grade conversion.
Unconfirmed: the complete 2026/27 final boarding, suitable downhill chain, passenger download and assisted return are not established. Agree the day’s last safe departure with staff before boarding and allow for fitting returns and transport. Do not use historical lift hours or an uphill cutoff as permission to descend.
01 / FIELD OVERVIEW
Independent Gunstock ski guide with a licensed managed-alpine map, genuine archive Lake Winnipesaukee photograph and sourced uplift, arrival, ticket, safety and service information.
Gilford base and separate summit/learning sectors
Current observations separated from historical winter tables
Controlled uphill access and practical return limits
Gunstock Mountain Resort’s managed alpine area is in Gilford, New Hampshire, above the Lakes Region. This guide covers its signed downhill slopes and passenger-lift network. The Nordic network, uphill itineraries, tubing, mountain coaster, zip lines and summer hiking are separate activities with separate access rules. A season pass sale or a scenic chairlift ride does not establish skiing availability.
The operator’s statistics distinguish 44 trails plus five glades within 227 skiable acres; the ticket page combines these as 49 trails. Those are attributed inventory scopes, not a count of community way segments. The live report separately contains named trail, glade and park rows. The independent map omits glades, dedicated terrain parks, unnamed or unconfirmed identities and non-alpine objects; shaded piste areas are surfaces, never descents following a polygon edge.
Conflicting sources: the statistics page counts five glades, while the checked snow report lists six named expert-only glade rows. The ticket page also advertises 22 night trails and six lifts, while statistics list 25 and seven. These scopes are not combined into a verified current inventory or a night-skiing availability claim.
The operator uses green for easier terrain, blue for moderate, black for advanced and double black for expert terrain. These are local categories, not conversions to European grades. Choose a suitable opened slope from the official daily report and signs. Generic community difficulty tags do not establish a literal local colour, and this independently scoped map leaves those features grey.
Historical: Wikiuser100’s genuine 25 February 2020 photograph looks from Gunstock toward Lake Winnipesaukee. It illustrates the winter setting, not present snow, current lift operation or the complete managed network.
The live lift list distinguishes Panorama and Ramrod quads, the Penny Pitou Silver Medal quad, Pistol and Tiger triples, and the E.Z., Wonder and tubing carpets. Panorama serves the higher summit side; the shorter base-area and Pistol/Tiger alignments are separate choices. The community map contains five chair alignments and Wonder Carpet; it is not a complete current installation inventory. Confirm the appropriate learning lift, open connection and equipment carriage with staff.
The operator’s 2 November 2026 report, updated at 08:49 local time, shows zero of eight lifts and zero of 44 trails open, with every listed uphill route closed. It announces opening day as 4 December. The current closure observation is finite; the future announcement is not a guarantee of continuous skiing, and no season-long opening period is inferred.
Historical: the hours page still includes a Saturday 4 April closure and a 5 December–4 April operating table. These fit the previous winter and are not a verified 2026/27 timetable. The earlier weekday, weekend and night hours must not be rolled into the next season.
Unconfirmed: the complete 2026/27 lift and night-skiing timetable, final sector boarding, suitable final downhill route and any authorized passenger download are not established. Before boarding, agree the last safe departure and the signed open return to your base with staff. A mapped connection, summit pub or closing hour does not promise a suitable descent or lift download.
The operator gives 719 Cherry Valley Road, Gilford, NH 03249 as the resort address. Its interactive directory identifies parking Lots A and B, Main Lodge, Stockade Lodge and the Resort Services Lodge, where ticketing, guest services and lesson registration are listed. Select the actual booking meeting point and check the walk from the assigned parking area before unloading equipment.
The location pin is derived from the bottom end of the community Panorama chair alignment. It is a base-area reference, not a surveyed doorway, guaranteed parking space or verified step-free entrance. Use the operator’s address for arrival planning and follow current site signs and staff instructions.
Unconfirmed: a dated public shuttle timetable, guaranteed parking availability, current road conditions and a complete accessible parking-to-lift transfer have not been established. Confirm both outward and return transport, the chosen lodge, equipment carriage and any personal assistance before travelling; a directions link does not supply those arrangements.
The current 2026/27 pass page lists adult ages 30–59 Winter Prime at US$1,079 and Winter Midweek at US$629; the two products have different eligibility and benefit scope. It states that the age category is determined on 1 December 2026 and that pass quantities are limited. Check the exact product, permitted dates, exclusions and actual availability in the operator’s checkout before payment. The existence of a pass does not establish that lifts are open.
Historical: the day-ticket table is explicitly labelled 2025/26. Its adult US$94 midweek and US$109 weekend/holiday amounts, dated holiday exceptions and season-end voucher wording are previous-winter evidence, not current 2026/27 offers. No current day-ticket price is represented as confirmed here.
The ticket page describes advance online booking, capacity limits and base-area RFID collection/reloading. A ticket, rental package, lesson, uphill entitlement and Nordic pass have distinct scopes. Confirm the actual package and whether it covers your intended day or night session, equipment and helmet; a displayed benefit is not an unlimited access right.
Unconfirmed: current 2026/27 day/night ticket prices and complete applicable change, cancellation and voucher terms are not established by the retained 2025/26 table. Obtain the terms for the actual dated product before paying rather than applying the historical fees or refund conditions.
Stay on signed open terrain, keep speed under control, give downhill users room and obey barriers, staff and lift instructions. The operator’s safety guidance prohibits leaving its property to access the backcountry. The independent map omits glades, backcountry-tagged ways, dedicated park objects and technical or summer attractions; it does not establish grooming, patrol, permission or a safe route.
The uphill page requires an eligible Gunstock uphill pass/day ticket or Uphill New England pass, a signed release and a visible armband or ticket. Only designated routes marked open during their designated hours may be used. It directs descending users to open trails and requires descent to begin before 16:00. Winchcat grooming can occur at any time: keep clear of machines and cables and never approach equipment. The live report currently marks all three uphill routes closed.
Conflicting sources: the official interactive page retains a note to be off the trail by 15:00, while the uphill policy says downhill descent must commence before 16:00. Historical: that policy’s holiday exceptions explicitly name dates in 2025/26. Neither discrepancy authorizes current travel. Confirm the current route-specific window and final exit with staff before any uphill visit; this guide does not publish an uphill itinerary.
The operator lists Ski Patrol/First Aid on +1 603 737 4300 during operating hours, with the First Aid Room by the Ticket Office near the flagpole. For an emergency outside operating hours or when staff cannot be reached, it directs callers to 911. Out-of-hours medical response may be delayed or absent. Arrange any needed assistance before using a lift and never treat a phone number or map as a rescue guarantee.
The resort describes a base-area rental shop with ski/boot/pole or snowboard/boot packages; helmets are an additional item. Its 2026/27 rental table lists a one-day adult package at US$55 and a helmet at US$15. Check the exact age/product and fitting appointment; the page warns that an advance booking does not guarantee equipment availability. Agree collection, adjustment, damage terms and the final return time before departure.
The Snowsports Center lists first-time, private, group and children’s programmes with separate age eligibility. General guest services and tickets use +1 603 737 4388 and services@gunstock.com; lesson reservations use +1 603 737 4338. The main resort number is +1 603 293 4341. Dining and shop availability require the day’s actual confirmation rather than the retained historical hours table.
The operator identifies Lakes Region Disabled Sports as the adaptive programme at Gunstock. Lessons require completed registration and advance reservation/payment; the published contact is ski@lradaptive.org, with +1 603 737 4365 listed for cancellation contact. Discuss the student’s stand-up or sit-ski needs and the exact meeting point directly with the programme.
Unconfirmed: visit-specific adaptive capacity, equipment compatibility, independent lift boarding/evacuation, step-free lodge access and a complete assisted return have not been established. Confirm these arrangements and any support-person entitlement before booking. Historical: rental cancellation/voucher wording still refers to 2025/26, despite a 2026/27 equipment table; obtain the applicable current terms.
Selected source-checked references only. Use the complete official plan for the network; this list is not the resort’s total piste count or live opening report.
