Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.

Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.

Unconfirmed: the operator’s map artwork has no verified reuse or remote-preview permission, so its artwork, preview and any claimed comparison are omitted. The inspected independent extent retains 25 named or referenced community downhill segments and 6 named passenger alignments around Babin Do. These are dataset objects, not an official piste/lift inventory. Igman/Nordic, polygon outlines, abandoned or unresolved installations, halfpipe and anonymous fragments are omitted. Generic difficulty stays grey. No current footprint, skiing, permitted access, continuous summit connection, safe return or navigation is established.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Babin Do base

Access: Mountain base and operator-listed services

Arrange your exact rental/lesson meeting point and suitable learner product; the independent extent omits unidentified learner geometry.

02

Intermediate alpine network

Access: Named community passenger and downhill alignments

Connections are geographic references only. Confirm a suitable open route and whole return with staff before leaving the base.

03

Upper mountain references

Access: Named upper community downhill corridors

The abandoned Kotlovi tow and zero-capacity retained chair alignment are omitted. No current summit uplift, connection or safe return is established.

01

Start at Babin Do

Choose the Babin Do mountain base for your arranged lesson or rental. The operator identifies this separately from Malo Polje and Veliko Polje on Igman and its Sarajevo administration. Confirm the actual meeting point and any boarding support.

02

Check connections before leaving the base

The operator identifies a six-seat-chair intermediate station; community geometry shows the alpine corridors above Babin Do. Ask which suitable signed connections are actually open. A mapped upper route does not establish a working summit lift, through connection or pass entitlement.

03

Agree the whole return before the final ascent

Confirm the last usable descent or permitted lift download back to your equipment and transport at Babin Do. Retained March hours and night-pass wording do not establish today’s timetable. Follow closures and rescue advice; do not substitute an off-piste shortcut.

Separate Igman and Nordic identities

Actual 2026/27 pass and refund distinctions

Babin Do alpine terrain is separate from Igman

Babin Do is the managed alpine base on Bjelašnica in the ZOI84 Bjelašnica–Igman operation. The operator identifies Babin Do, Malo Polje and Veliko Polje as separate destinations. This guide covers Babin Do alpine skiing; Igman’s beginner terrain and Veliko Polje Nordic network, winter hiking, sledging and freestyle features are separate activities.

The operator advertises eight ski pistes, five children’s pistes, three chairlifts and five ski lifts for Babin Do, with 14 km of alpine pistes and a summit elevation of 2,067 m. These are the scope of its published description, not an independently measured or currently operating inventory. Community map segments are not distinct official pistes.

Historical: Panassko’s genuine photograph is dated 11 January 2021 and shows snowy Babin Do base terrain and distant skiers. It supplies archive place context, not evidence of present snow, installations, queues or safe access.

Check the actual skiing report and your complete return

The operator links a separate map/status service and identifies its six-seat chair’s exit as an intermediate station on the webcam page. The independent map retains community passenger alignments and named or referenced downhill corridors; it does not establish today’s boarding, continuous links or permission to use a route.

Historical: the homepage retains a 2025/26 competition label and a March timetable: weekday lifts 07:00–12:30, weekend lifts 07:00–15:00 and weekend night lifts 18:30–20:30. These retained hours are not a confirmed 2026/27 winter timetable. Blank weather templates and the map service’s initial HTML do not establish current skiing.

Unconfirmed: current skiing, exact 2026/27 opening and closing dates, daily winter hours, open sector connections, final descent and skier-download arrangements have not been established. A pass valid until 15 April 2027 is a product condition, not a guaranteed operating calendar. Ask staff for the final usable return to Babin Do before ascending.

Travel to Babin Do and arrange the return

The operator’s arrival page distinguishes Babin Do on Bjelašnica from Veliko Polje and Malo Polje on Igman. Select the Babin Do mountain base for your agreed rental or lesson meeting point; the Sarajevo administration address is separate. The location pin is a planning reference near the community six-seat chair’s lower end, not a surveyed entrance or parking reservation.

The operator names GRAS and Centrotrans for public transport and says timetables vary between summer and winter. It directs drivers to BIHAMK road information on 1282. Check the actual carrier’s service for your date and destination and arrange the final return before leaving Sarajevo; promotional statements about maintained roads do not establish today’s road conditions.

Unconfirmed: a current 2026/27 bus/shuttle timetable, last return, parking price and availability, taxi fare and continuous accessible transfer to the lift have not been verified. The arrival page’s undated approximate taxi figures are not a current quotation. A parking-inclusive pass remains subject to capacity and does not reserve a space.

Read the actual 2026/27 presale product and conflicting terms

Checked 31 October 2026: the linked 2026/27 tariff lists adult Starter season prices through 15 November of KM 885 PLUS, KM 760 STANDARD and KM 665 BASIC. Adult Loyalty prices for holders of a 2025/26 season pass are KM 725, KM 640 and KM 580 respectively. PLUS includes night skiing; STANDARD excludes night skiing; BASIC excludes weekends and night skiing. These are dated season-presale products, not day-ticket prices or evidence that lifts are open.

The current STANDARD shop page agrees on KM 760 for adults and states validity until 15 April 2027, with KM 1,105 from 16 November. The tariff requires identification, personal non-transferable passes, a refundable KM 5 plastic-card deposit and KM 20 seasonal replacement. The published pass rules distinguish Bjelašnica–Igman entitlement from Igman-only tickets and exclude baby lifts from the general lift product. Retain the fiscal receipt and verify the exact product before purchase.

Conflicting sources: the current tariff and shop rules use a 15-operating-day season-use threshold, the operator’s separately published pass-rule article uses 20 days, and the shop refund policy uses 25 days for season-use/next-season-discount wording. Weather/closure refunds and exceptional injury or other claims also have conditions. These pages do not provide one consistent refund promise; obtain the applicable written terms for your exact purchase.

Conflicting sources: the tariff birth-year table overlaps 2013 between child and teen categories and leaves its adult wording open-ended, while the current STANDARD shop uses children 2013–2018, teens 2008–2012, adults 1962–2007 and seniors 1961 or earlier. Ask the seller to confirm the category, particularly at a boundary, and the separate BABY and baby-lift entitlement.

Unconfirmed: current day/half-day prices, the exact extent of each learner product and any later change to the displayed presale or refund conditions have not been established. No price here is a booking offer. Confirm area, eligible days, night access, identification, deposit and cancellation terms before payment.

Follow local signs and mountain-rescue advice

The operator requires suitable maintained equipment and compliance with ski-area rules and staff instructions. GSS Sarajevo advises skiing within your ability, checking above before joining a piste, respecting people below, resting away from the middle of a run and avoiding alcohol. Have equipment and bindings checked by a qualified service rather than making an adjustment from this guide.

GSS Sarajevo warns against skiing outside maintained pistes and stresses avalanche warnings, warm clothing and fatigue near the end of the day. Follow closures and local grade signs; a generic community difficulty tag is not a verified local colour or an invitation to try a descent. Wear appropriate protection and leave enough time to return before the last lift.

The rescue service publishes a ski-area duty contact of +387 61 214 351 and notification centre 121. Confirm current on-site patrol arrangements with staff; a listed number does not guarantee a particular response time. Report your location and the nearest signed piste or installation when seeking help.

Unconfirmed: any permitted uphill route or hours, after-hours access, grooming/winch windows, helmet age rule and individual evacuation or adapted-boarding arrangements have not been established. This guide and map grant no touring/off-piste access, summit access or navigation assurance.

Arrange equipment, lessons and assistance at the right base

The operator lists Ski rent Babin do and Ski rent Bracom, and names HEAD ACADEMY, Ski škola Flipper, Kinezis and Desna skija Suade on its school page. These are source listings, not independently tested services or confirmed availability. Agree your level/age group, exact mountain meeting point, equipment fit, helmet, ticket and return conditions directly with the provider.

The operator contact page identifies the mountain address as Babin do b.b., 71000 Sarajevo and gives service information at +387 61 614 002. It also lists +387 33 414 112. Its about page describes accommodation and restaurants; make separate reservations and verify service hours rather than assuming every facility opens with a lift.

Conflicting sources: the same contact page describes service information both as 08:00–16:00 during the ski season and as 24/7 in repeated blocks. These are not reliable winter lift hours or a guaranteed assistance window. Confirm the current contact availability and final equipment-return time.

Unconfirmed: current rental/lesson prices and opening hours, exact equipment stock, childcare, adapted equipment, accessible toilets and an uninterrupted step-free base-to-lift journey have not been verified. Explain individual requirements and agree boarding and return assistance before travelling.
