Colours show the published skiing status or confirmed operating calendar, not whether every lift is running. Check the operator before travel.

Confirmed dates change colours automatically in the place’s local time. Tentative dates, conflicting reports and expired checks remain black.

Unconfirmed: the operator map page is linked separately, but a current artwork edition and lawful inline preview have not been verified; no operator artwork is reproduced in this guide. The independent ODbL community map covers Arosa Weisshorn/Tschuggen/Hörnli, the Urdenbahn connection and Lenzerheide Rothorn/Heimberg/Scalottas/Stätz/Heidbüel. Separate Tschiertschen and Pradaschier/Windegga, unidentified, park/race/speed-only, technical, private, proposed, disused and backcountry/freeride objects are omitted. Community names and references are not a verified current operator-map comparison or a complete piste inventory. Generic difficulty supplies no local colour; descents remain grey. Geometry is not an opening, grooming, access, patrol or safe-return guarantee. Snapshot time is the earliest canonical OSM API HTTP response Date across retained tiles, not an Overpass replication timestamp.

HOW THE AREA CONNECTS

Understand the sectors.

01

Arosa: Weisshorn, Tschuggen and Hörnli

Access: Railway-side Weisshorn base and separate Hörnli valley station.

Choose an open learning or mountain sector with staff.

02

Lenzerheide east: Rothorn and Heimberg

Access: Rothorn base or Heimberg in Parpan; Motta and Urdenfürggli form the approach toward Urdenbahn.

Check the complete signed open connection and suitable descent.

03

Lenzerheide west: Scalottas, Stätz and Heidbüel

Access: Distinct valley bases, with community Obertor east–west connection.

Confirm today’s lift chain, ticket and return to the original base.

01

Choose Arosa or a Lenzerheide valley base

Arosa’s Weisshorn lower station and information desk are behind the railway station at Obersee. The conditional November ski programme instead starts at Hörnli or Heimberg in Parpan. Lenzerheide also lists Rothorn, Fadail, Scalottas and Portal parking bases. Confirm today’s open sector, lesson meeting point and actual accessible arrival before boarding.

02

Check the entire Hörnli–Urdenfürggli chain

Urdenbahn connects Hörnli and Urdenfürggli; the Lenzerheide facility table distinguishes Rothorn/Heimberg from Scalottas/Stätz, with Obertor linking the valley sides in community geometry. Ask staff which signed open lift-and-piste chain suits your ability and ticket. A drawn connection does not prove current service.

03

Agree the last crossing and your original base return

Unconfirmed: a complete dated final-boarding, crossing, descent and passenger-download chain is not established. Confirm when to leave the far side, the safe signed route back, equipment hand-back and your actual bus or train. The retained 2025/26 bus file and conditional November lift times cannot guarantee your winter return.

Separate November and winter ticket scope

Actual timetable and return limitations

Choose a base within the connected managed ski area

Arosa Lenzerheide joins two managed alpine destinations in Graubünden. The Arosa side includes Weisshorn, Tschuggen and Hörnli; Lenzerheide has the Rothorn/Heimberg eastern side and Scalottas/Stätz/Heidbüel western side. The Urdenbahn links Hörnli and Urdenfürggli. Choose a starting base for your ability, lesson and return arrangements rather than assuming every sector is reachable on a particular day.

The operator’s live service lists 43 lifts and a 225 km slope total. These are published service scopes, not an independently surveyed inventory. The community map covers named or referenced managed descents and passenger alignments across both sides. Separate Tschiertschen and Pradaschier/Windegga terrain, unidentified lines, dedicated park/race/speed features and backcountry objects are omitted. Segments are not individual pistes; generic OSM difficulty does not establish a local colour, so these descent lines remain grey.

Historical: Andres Passwirth’s genuine Weisshorn/Carmenna photograph was uploaded to Wikimedia Commons on 20 March 2010. The capture date is not established. It is archive Arosa context, predating the connected area’s present layout; it does not show current snow, open slopes, the complete resort or an approved descent.

Plan the Hörnli–Urdenfürggli crossing and the return

The operator identifies the Urdenbahn as the aerial connection between Hörnli and Urdenfürggli. On the Lenzerheide side its facility table distinguishes the Rothorn gondola/cable car, Heimberg, Motta and Urdenfürggli chairs from the western Scalottas, Lavoz and Stätz lifts. The community geometry also shows Obertor between east and west. Check the signed open chain, suitable connecting slopes and ticket scope at your actual starting base.

The live report inspected on 2 November 2026, carrying a 12:16 local update, showed 0/43 lifts and 0/225 km of slopes available. That is a finite source observation, separate from the earliest-possible future calendar. Hiking, restaurant and parking availability does not establish skiing; check the actual live report and on-site instructions before travel.

The November programme directs prospective skiers to the Hörnli-Express valley station in Arosa or Heimberg in Parpan. It marks Weisshorn sections and Rothorn 1 as pedestrian operation and marks the ski-dependent Hörnli, Heimberg, Motta and Urdenfürggli facilities as operating only once skiing is possible. A sightseeing lift, an available ticket or an open restaurant does not establish an available ski connection.

Unconfirmed: the calendar gives earliest-possible openings, rather than guaranteed ski dates. It lists 30 October–22 November 2026 for mixed weekend activities, 28 November–18 December for partial winter operation, 19 December–4 April for conditional main-season operation, and 5–11 April 2027 for limited Arosa/eastern-side operation. Current conditions can change the actual offer; no future boundary is treated here as confirmed skiing.

Unconfirmed: a complete visit-specific final boarding, Urdenbahn crossing, signed descent and passenger-download chain has not been verified. Published November times apply to their conditional programme, not every winter day. Ask staff when to leave the far side and how to return if a connection closes; do not improvise a descent through the Urdental or rely on a map line to reach your car.

Use the actual destination and a dated transport plan

For Arosa, the destination’s arrival page recommends the Rhaetian Railway from Chur and links the actual SBB timetable. The lift-company information desk and Weisshorn lower station are behind Arosa railway station at Obersee, reached across the tracks by the bridge described by the operator. Hörnli is a different starting point, reached through the local transport network; confirm the stop and school meeting point before travelling.

For Lenzerheide, the destination lists PostBus connections from Chur, Davos and Tiefencastel to the valley villages. Its parking list distinguishes Rothorn, Fadail, Scalottas, Heimberg in Parpan and Portal in Churwalden. Choose the base matching the day’s open sector and your lesson. Check road conditions and equipment requirements before using the mountain approaches; the Arosa arrival page warns about the winding Schanfiggerstrasse and restrictions on alpine, goods and forest roads.

Historical: the linked Lenzerheide winter sports-bus PDF still covers 29 November 2025–12 April 2026, with different peak subperiods. The Arosa arrival page links a summer bus PDF. Neither is a verified 2026/27 winter timetable or last-return promise. The general transport page’s winter bus-hour summary does not replace a dated journey search.

Conflicting sources: the public transport page includes Early Birds Arosa & Lenzerheide, but its linked November 2024 regulations exclude EarlyBird. Other listed ski tickets have conditions including second class, the specified Chur–Arosa/Chur–Lenzerheide–Tiefencastel corridors, winter-sports purpose and ticket validity. Confirm the applicable entitlement before boarding. PubliCar Lenzerheide-Albula requires its own booking and ordinary fare; the destination explicitly excludes it from ski-ticket transport.

Unconfirmed: your dated departures, last return, parking availability, transfer assistance and step-free boarding chain remain to be confirmed. Arrange the whole return and equipment hand-back before ascending; a parking point or station description alone does not establish accessible passage.

Match the ticket, age category and actual open offer

The linked Winter 2026/27 individual tariff lists the full-area one-day ski ticket at CHF 89 for adults from 27, CHF 75 for ages 18–26, CHF 59 for ages 13–17 and CHF 29 for ages 6–12. It lists adult four-hour and afternoon-from-13:00 products at CHF 76 and CHF 64. These are published tariff references; the operator advertises lower advance online prices, and your actual date/product quote must be checked before purchase.

The beginner/snowpark product has a restricted named-lift validity area, rather than full access to the connected mountain. The tariff lists its adult one-day price at CHF 49. A learning ticket, single ride, hiking pass or local-only concession must not be assumed to cover a crossing or upper-sector descent. Four-hour credit expires at the end of operations; buying it late does not extend the lift day.

Conflicting sources: the HTML young-family offer says a stay of more than four days, while the 2026/27 PDF permits the alternating-parent product from four days. Both refer to parents with a child under four and require identity details. Confirm the exact purchase eligibility rather than resolving the four-day difference silently.

The separate conditional November offer lists a day at CHF 56 from age 16 and CHF 28 for ages 6–15, with different categories from the regular winter tariff. It applies to the relevant actual offer, not guaranteed skiing or all-area operation. Keep the November and regular winter products separate when comparing costs.

Unconfirmed: the final online quote, current interruption/refund treatment, insurance coverage and your individual concession or assistance eligibility require the applicable purchase terms. Pass validity is not an opening guarantee. Budget lessons, rental and any separate transport independently; no sale or bookable offer is made by this guide.

Respect controlled-piste limits and winch-grooming closures

The operator limits patrol supervision to marked, open pistes. Follow closures, barriers and staff instructions; adapt speed to ability, visibility, snow and traffic, give people below priority and stop only where visible with space to pass. Use suitable fitted equipment and a helmet, and ask staff which opened descent is appropriate for your party. A piste colour describes its local system rather than a universal conversion.

Outside lift operating hours the pistes are closed and are not protected against avalanche and grooming hazards, including cable winches. During organised evening activities, stay on the prescribed route. Forest protection zones may not be entered. The operator also uses avalanche-control explosives and requires strict compliance with patrol instructions. This guide supplies no permission for closed-piste uphill travel, off-piste, freeride or touring access.

If you witness an accident, the operator says to alert the nearest lift staff or call the SOS office on 144. Give the precise location, what happened, number and type of injuries, and remain available for questions. It warns that search and rescue can be charged to the responsible person. Confirm the day’s local patrol arrangements at the base and check appropriate insurance rather than assuming rescue is included in the pass.

Unconfirmed: current avalanche danger, the safe return for your ability, patrol availability on a particular line and individual evacuation or boarding assistance are not established by static geometry or general guidance. Consult the current SLF bulletin and actual on-site advice; change the plan if a controlled signed connection or safe return is unavailable.

Arrange instruction, fitting and storage at your chosen base

The destination lists ski and snowboard instruction, equipment rental and overnight depots. Its Arosa directory names the Swiss Ski- and Snowboardschool Arosa and independent providers, plus rental shops around Kulmwiese, Brüggli, Prätschli and Seeblickstrasse. The main services page links separate Lenzerheide schools and sports shops. Book against the correct destination and agree the meeting point, level, equipment and required ticket before arrival.

The Arosa directory lists depot options at shops and Tschuggen Ost. Confirm actual season hours, available lockers, boot storage and equipment-return time directly; a directory listing or general open label is not a reservation. The area’s mountain-restaurant listings also require a suitable open lift or signed descent and a complete return plan.

For general enquiries, Arosa Bergbahnen publishes +41 81 378 84 84 at Seeblickstrasse 29, 7050 Arosa. Lenzerheide Bergbahnen publishes +41 81 385 50 00 at Voa Principala 80, 7078 Lenzerheide. Keep these information contacts separate from the emergency instruction to call 144 or alert lift staff.

Unconfirmed: current rental and lesson prices, helmet availability, food-service opening, accessible toilets, equipment-compatible boarding and personal assistance have not been verified for a specific visit. Contact the actual provider in advance and agree the whole arrival, lift, lesson, return and evacuation chain where support is required.
