01 / PRODUCT OVERVIEW
What it is built for.
Fischer lists N12625 in its 2026/27 Nordic workbook as Speedmax 90 Skate Plus 115 BLK, distinct from the 610 construction, the Medium N12525 and Xtra Stiff N12725. The manufacturer describes the 115 camber as having more widely spaced snow-contact zones for stability on hard snow, with Plus preparation for −10°C and warmer. These are manufacturer design claims, not an index.ski performance test or a guarantee that one ski suits every snow surface. This is a ski-only information profile; the sample photograph includes bindings without establishing the contents of a particular sale.

02 / COMPARISON SHEET
Keep the construction, length and preparation separate.
Fischer’s stated optimization; not a weather limit or a universal wax recommendation.
Manufacturer shovel / middle / tail figures; not boot or binding dimensions.
Conflicting sources: the 2026/27 workbook gives this Stiff range, while the exact US page displays 171, 176, 181, 186 and 191 cm across its selectors. It does not establish every Stiff length as orderable.
Remove the protective base wax before use. Use liquid wax only on the Gliding Sidewall; do not hot-wax or grind it.
Manufacturer figures are preserved with their stated measurement and variant context.
03 / PLATFORM TECHNOLOGY
Design choices that shape your ski day.
Hard-snow 115 construction
Fischer attributes stability on hard snow to the 115 camber and its spaced contact zones. Choose the flex and length through a specialist rather than inferring suitability from the Stiff label alone.
Cold Base Bonding and Gliding Sidewall
The manufacturer describes these as improving wax absorption, grindability and glide. The sidewall has its own liquid-wax-only care restriction; general base preparation does not authorize heating or grinding it.
Manufacturer reference, not a weighed sample
The workbook lists 1,030 g at 186 cm under “Weight / Length (skis only)”. No individual sample was weighed and this profile does not use that figure as the mass of a complete ski–binding set.
04 / COMPONENTS
Select the ski and complete system with a specialist.
Binding, boot and fit scope
- IFP mounting
- Use only the manufacturer-specified TURNAMIC plate system. The workbook expressly excludes screw bindings on these skis. Ask a trained dealer to fit and check the complete ski, binding and boot system.
- Boot soles
- The linked Nordic manual lists TURNAMIC, NNN and Prolink cross-country soles.Historical: the V1.0 August 2017 manual lists older binding models, not S49025. Its general compatibility statement is not exact current S49025 operating approval, nor permission to use SNS or NNN BC systems.
- Optional binding package
- The product page offers Worldcup Skate IFP or no binding.Unconfirmed: the delivered binding, mounting, exact length-specific SKU and local package contents are not established. The genuine sample image shows bindings; this guide accepts only the N12625 ski scope.
First use and ski care
- Protective base wax
- Remove the delivery wax before the first outing.Fischer directs light, even scraping in the direction of travel with a sharp plexiglass scraper, followed by a nylon or combi brush. Have a ski-service specialist prepare it if unfamiliar with the procedure.
- Gliding Sidewall
- Liquid wax only; no hot wax and no grinding. The current library-linked Nordic ski-care instructions distinguish the thin Speedmax sidewall from the base. Let suitable liquid wax dry before brushing; follow its own product instructions.
- Workshop preparation
- Use a secure ski support, good light and ventilation.Follow the complete manufacturer care instructions and the selected wax’s safety directions. General hot-wax base guidance is not a permitted sidewall treatment or a universal iron setting.
Use and safety
- Prepared Nordic terrain
- Use designated, prepared cross-country trails at a controlled speed.Fischer’s July 2025 safety manual says these skis are unsuitable for alpine pistes or off-piste terrain. Their free heel and lack of steel edges reduce braking and stability when descending.
- Inspect before skiing
- Check ski condition, firm binding attachment and clean soles/engagement areas.Do not use damaged equipment or heavily worn soles. Seek specialist help with any doubt, unauthorized modification or incompatible system.
- No safety release
- Nordic bindings do not provide a safety-release function.Safe Lock is described by Fischer as protection against unintended opening during racing; it is not an injury-preventing release system. Obtain the applicable complete binding instructions before using any supplied set.
