01 / EVENT OVERVIEW
What defines this edition.
Use this as an early planning guide to the announced 2027 edition at the Whitehorse Nordic Centre. Times are local America/Whitehorse, UTC−07:00 throughout the year. Unconfirmed: the final 2027 race notice, registration and race-day timetable have not been established.
The organiser describes a classic track alongside a skating lane and lists 12 km, 23 km and 42 km. Unconfirmed: final 2027 distances, elevation, routing, aid locations, marking, junction control and weather alternatives. These are organiser-listed options, not independently surveyed or certified courses.
Historical: all three course-map controls are labelled 2026, and the linked Zone4 event is the race held on 21 March 2026. Those plans and rules do not establish the 2027 alignment, starts or cutoffs. No operator map artwork is copied or embedded in this guide.
The organiser describes recreational and competitive skiing across three distances. Unconfirmed: exact 2027 age limits, categories, entry capacity, qualification, insurance and waiver requirements. A broad welcome is not a verified eligibility rule; confirm the current race notice before entering.

The pin is not the gate.
The organiser and venue give 200-1 Sumanik Drive, beside the Canada Games Centre. The rounded pin uses the OSM chalet point, not the large trail-area centroid; it is an arrival planning reference, not a surveyed start/finish line, accessible entrance or race route.
The organiser identifies the Nordic Centre beside the Canada Games Centre and describes free venue parking. Whitehorse Transit publishes routes and schedules separately. Unconfirmed: race-day parking controls, final bus stops and departures, an event shuttle, the final return after each distance and any airport connection. Arrange a complete return before travelling; general city transport is not a race-day guarantee.
The venue lists classic/skate rentals with NNN-compatible boots/bindings, first-come availability, last hire one hour before closing and return 15 minutes before closing. Renters under 19 need an adult guardian. Unconfirmed: race-day stock, fitting and opening hours; do not infer these from ordinary winter hours or a race entry.
The venue offers three sit-skis and says delivery to the stadium may make access easier for wheelchair users. Unconfirmed: 2027 race eligibility, accessible course/entrances, individual assistance and transport. Discuss specific needs directly before entering.
Historical: the photograph is Whitehorse host-city context from 2014. It shows neither the race nor the Nordic Centre and gives no evidence of current snow or trail readiness.
