01 / EVENT OVERVIEW
What defines this edition.
The new January weekend brings the two technical disciplines to Podkoren above the Upper Sava Valley. Plan your viewing category and the complete outward and return journey before buying. Dates use Europe/Ljubljana, CET (UTC+01:00). Weather, snow and official competition decisions can change the programme.
The organiser identifies the technical race hill at Podkoren. Its technical tables currently display zero values for start, finish and vertical drop, so no course dimensions, homologation details or traced course geometry are published. Unconfirmed: the final January course setting, public viewing boundaries and spectator sightlines are not established. Stay within the designated viewing areas; the race piste is controlled competition terrain.
Historical: the source describes the photograph as a view from the Podkoren ski slope over Podkoren and Koren Pass on 11 December 2005 according to EXIF. It establishes landscape context only. No organiser poster, partner photograph, arena plan or operator artwork is reproduced.
The host tourism calendar assigns men’s giant slalom to Saturday and slalom to Sunday. This guide is for spectators; a spectator ticket grants no race entry or access to the competition piste. Unconfirmed: the final start lists, race-entry decisions and January run times are not established.
02 / PUBLISHED PROGRAMME
The published timetable.
Saturday, January 2, 2027
Saturday · men’s giant slalom
The host’s exact January edition announcement assigns giant slalom to Saturday. Conflicting sources: the organiser’s run table is labelled March, despite the January edition on its other pages. Its 10:00/13:00 run times are not adopted as a January schedule; Eventim’s 10:00 listing alone does not establish both runs, arena opening or ceremonies.Sunday, January 3, 2027
Sunday · men’s slalom
The host assigns slalom to Sunday 3 January. Unconfirmed: January first/second-run times, the bib draw, prize giving, arena opening/closing and the complete accompanying programme have not been established. Check the corrected organiser programme before fixing a last bus or train.03 / TICKETS & BROADCAST
Attend with the live instructions.
Paid spectator tickets · separate one-day and two-day products
Standing, grandstand and VIP categories; exact day, age and product terms apply. Eventim’s 2 January presale listing shows standing €21, grandstand €46 and VIP €196; standing for ages 7–14 is €8.50 and VIP €91. Its separate 2–3 January product lists standing €36, grandstand €69 and ages 7–14 standing €11. These displayed prices include the stated €1 ticket-issue fee. The organiser says tickets allow one entry and grandstand places are first come, first served. Unconfirmed: the final checkout/delivery total, family packages, exact age-six eligibility and applicable reserved NLB-grandstand allocation are not resolved; do not assume a weekend ticket permits unrestricted re-entry or includes transport. Confirm the exact day/category and child conditions before purchase.

Unconfirmed: the exact January live-broadcast timetable, streaming rights and territorial availability are not established.
Unconfirmed: a United States broadcaster and access conditions have not been verified.
Official broadcast hub04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS
The pin is not the gate.
The organiser’s linked Google Maps destination resolves to this broad Kranjska Gora reference. The competition is at Poligon Podkoren, Podkoren 88; this point is not the finish arena, a spectator gate, parking allocation or an accessible route. Use the organiser’s marked approaches and current steward directions. Unconfirmed: exact January gate positions and a surveyed continuous accessible approach have not been established.
The organiser gives Poligon Podkoren, Podkoren 88, as the race venue. It describes marked walks of about 20 minutes from central Kranjska Gora and under 45 minutes from Ledine near Rateče, where the approach is under 3 km. These are organiser estimates, subject to winter footing and your pace. Follow marked paths and staff directions rather than the broad town map point. Unconfirmed: the exact January gate layout, path treatment, lighting and journey time for your mobility needs are not established.
The spectator page announces a free shuttle between the temporary stop at the Kranjska Gora Police Station car park and Podkoren bus station, followed by a marked walk. It also announces Gozd Martuljek/Rateče buses with a timetable still to be published and mentions a separate Nomago Ljubljana ticket-plus-bus package. Conflicting sources: the homepage instead names Kranjska Gora bus station as the shuttle origin. Unconfirmed: the final boarding stop, operating interval, last return, package price/availability and through connection to accommodation are not established. Check both directions with the organiser and carrier.
The tourism arrival page identifies Jesenice as the nearest rail interchange, roughly 20 km away, with an onward bus; there is no direct train to the race arena. Historical: the tourism bus page’s free circular service runs 15 June–15 September 2026 and does not establish January event transport. Unconfirmed: dated January rail/bus connections and the last complete return have not been verified. Leave time for the arena walk, queues and transfers; do not use an unconfirmed ceremony finish to book a tight connection.
The organiser says public cars cannot park beside the finish arena. Marshals allocate designated parking in the wider Podkoren area; Kranjska Gora public parking is paid, and Ledine–Rateče is a separate walking approach. Never park on grass or obstruct the regional road or emergency access. Unconfirmed: capacity, exact January road controls, public parking charges outside the stated categories and a guaranteed space are not established.
The organiser advertises a special viewing area and a limited number of nearby disability parking places; its ticket page describes a wheelchair platform. Unconfirmed: booking, companion tickets, drop-off permission, continuous step-free surface, accessible shuttle, toilets, assistance and evacuation arrangements are not established. Confirm the entire arrival/viewing/return chain with the organiser; the advertised platform and broad town point do not establish a complete accessible visit.
Eventim publishes separate child conditions by area: ages 7–14 discounted tickets require a parent or guardian; grandstand free admission is only through age two, with a ticket from age three. The standing/VIP free-child text uses a sixth-birthday boundary followed by a 7–14 category. Unconfirmed: treatment of a child who is exactly six, family packages and any reserved NLB-grandstand conditions need product-specific confirmation. The organiser’s family page still says details will follow. Ask before buying or relying on free entry.
