01 / EVENT OVERVIEW

What defines this edition.

Plan two daytime speed races at Col Margherita, with viewing from the ticketed grandstand or standing parterre and separate designated free course-side areas. Programme times are local Europe/Rome, CET (UTC+01:00). Check the exact race day, ticket category and current arrival instructions before travelling; weather and competition decisions can change the programme.

01
La VolatA · two speed configurations

The organiser describes a downhill of 2,500 m with 630 m vertical difference, starting at 2,510 m, and a super-G of 2,400 m with 600 m vertical difference, starting at 2,480 m; both finish at 1,880 m. These are source-published course descriptions, not a navigable race map. Unconfirmed: the final 2027 gate setting and competition-day layout have not been established.

02
Public ski area and race closures

Conflicting sources: the arrival page names La VolatA as the exception to ordinary ski-area operation, while the FAQ also names Le Coste, served by the Gigante chairlift, as closed on race days. Keep both closures in planning and check the final live instructions. No open connection or permission to enter either course is inferred.

03
Historical host landscape

Historical: the licensed 30 December 2008 landscape is separate from the current arena and race course. Organiser photographs, course-profile artwork, sponsor imagery and race-map artwork are omitted; no reproduction grant, personal attendance or inspection of the 2027 arena is claimed.

Grandstand or standing parterre; select the exact race date. The organiser lists grandstand admission at €25 full price or €12 for ages 8–14, with a €1.50 booking fee plus service charges of €1.59 or €0.81 respectively. Standing parterre is €10 full price or €5 for ages 8–14, plus €1.50 booking and €0.69 or €0.39 service charges. Under-8 admission is listed free but requires a separate request through info@fassa.events; the organiser specifies the child and accompanying ticket-holder names, race day and a valid child-ID copy. Arrange this directly through that official channel. Grandstand seats are unreserved. 04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS

The pin is not the gate.

The planning pin uses the Gigante parking reference linked from the organiser’s arrival page. The organiser directs finish-area spectators through the Col Margherita cable-car station, with a snow-covered walk from the shuttle stop. Unconfirmed: this point is not a surveyed entrance, reserved space, accessible drop-off or walking route. Follow the current ticket-sector and staff directions.

The organiser’s 22 October 2026 arrival update names the Col Margherita cable-car station as the sole access point to the finish viewing areas. For ticket holders, no shuttle reservation is required: show the race ticket. Both Moena sports field and Canale d’Agordo via Falcade have outbound windows 08:30–11:00 and return windows 13:00–16:30 on 9–10 January. The organiser estimates around 40 minutes including waiting, travel and a 7–10-minute snow-covered walk. Allow additional queue time and reach the return stop before the service ends.

Unconfirmed: individual shuttle departure intervals, wheelchair boarding, guaranteed capacity, the detailed ordinary ski-bus timetable and complete onward bus/train or accommodation connections are not established. The separate Ronchi–Costabella ski-pass shuttle is advertised every 30 minutes, 09:30–16:00, for specified ski passes; it is not an evening return after the 18:00 Moena ceremony. Arrange every part of your return before travelling.

The organiser warns of possible SS346 traffic restrictions between 08:30 and 11:30 from Ronchi on the Trentino side and the Passo Valles junction on the Veneto side. It lists limited free parking near Campigol, Costabella, Hotel Monzoni and Gigante; these are planning references, not reserved spaces. Camper parking does not permit camping, awnings, outdoor tables or chairs. Follow police and current road instructions.

Unconfirmed: a continuous step-free approach, reserved wheelchair viewing, accessible toilets, assisted evacuation and companion ticket terms have not been established. The published approach is a snow-covered descending path. Contact info@fassa.events for the entire assisted arrival, viewing and return plan before purchasing; free course-side viewing does not establish an accessible or unrestricted approach.

The organiser lists refreshments at the Col Margherita departure station, a mountain hut at the top and a Ski Village kiosk. Unconfirmed: their precise race-day hours, payment methods, allergy provisions, shelter, toilets and bag storage are not established. Wear warm layers and suitable winter footwear, and bring essential personal supplies.
