01 / EVENT OVERVIEW

What defines this edition.

The ski stadium is in the upland Bretterschachten cross-country centre, while main bib collection and awards use the Glück-Auf-Saal at Bahnhofstr. 71 in Bodenmais. Plan travel between these bases. All programme times are local Europe/Berlin, UTC+01:00 on the race weekend. The linked SportSoft registration identifies Skadi Loppet 2027.

01
Two techniques and a final course decision

The current programme lists 42 km and 22 km for each day. The jury may shorten or change routes for weather or safety. Historical: the classic page labels its alternative profile 2026, with two laps for 42 km. That material is not a verified final 2027 alignment. No organiser map, route video or GPX is reproduced here.

02
Junior distance and category discrepancy

Conflicting sources: the junior heading and general programme advertise 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 km, but the detailed 2027 block table assigns 3.0 km to U14–U15, 3.0 km to U11–U13 and 1.5 km to U6–U10. It describes a 1.52 km loop with 37 m ascent. Confirm the child’s actual distance, technique, supervision and category; 4.5 km is not presented here as a settled allocation.

03
Aid and finish limits for the 42 km races

The race pages list an awards-eligibility finish threshold of 14:00, refreshment closing at km 28 at 13:00 and km 34 at 14:00, and a finish limit of 15:00 on both days. The compact page instead locates the third aid station at km 27 and lists finish refreshments until 15:15. Conflicting sources: the third station’s kilometre is 27 versus 28. Unconfirmed: the final 2027 station layout, corresponding alternative-course limits and separate junior/22 km cutoffs. These times are not a guarantee of assistance after closure.

FORMAT42 km and 22 km skating on Saturday · classic on Sunday · Saturday junior races

The organiser lists open long-distance races, with 42 km from U20, born in 2008 or earlier, and 22 km from U15, born in 2012 or earlier. The 2027 class table identifies U6–U15 junior categories, born 2021–2012. Conflicting sources: the English skating page says born in 2008 for its U15 22 km race, while the current German race page and 2027 classes give 2012. Confirm the applicable category before entering. Individual accessible participation and final capacity are unconfirmed.

Women start at 09:20 and men at 09:30. Awards are listed for 15:00 in the Glück-Auf-Saal. Obtain the final start instruction before planning check-in or transport.

Confirm the correct bib and inspection window

Conflicting sources: the programme lists race-day bib collection 07:30–10:15 on both days, the English classic page says 07:30–10:00, and the junior page specifies Saturday 08:00–09:40. Saturday classic-course inspection is 15:00–17:00 in the programme but from 14:00 on the English classic page. Use the race-specific final instructions and arrive before your start; a collection window does not extend a start time.

04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS

The pin is not the gate.

The approximate point follows the organiser’s linked Skadi Loppet Arena location at Bretterschachten. It is distinct from bib collection and awards in central Bodenmais, and does not identify an accessible entrance, parking space or approved race route.

The arena is at Bretterschachten; the Glück-Auf-Saal is at Bahnhofstr. 71 in central Bodenmais. The organiser lists about 200 arena parking spaces and asks visitors to share vehicles. Parking is conditional on space. Unconfirmed: final road controls, accessible parking, spectator shuttle eligibility and individual step-free routes.

The entry includes a Bodenmais–arena shuttle and return, free to participants showing their bib. Compact information describes regular town ski-bus stops and 15/30-minute service. Historical: its linked timetable filename is marked 26 and does not establish a dated 2027 service. It shows return departures as late as 16:49 from Bretterschachten and arrival at the Rathaus at 17:00; these are historical planning context only. Unconfirmed: the actual 23–24 January departures, complete return, capacity, accessibility and connections to onward transport. Arrange a confirmed return before travelling.

The organiser lists clothing storage at the arena, collecting and returning a bag through the designated service, and free post-race showers/changing at Vital-Zentrum, Kurparkstr. 1, from 12:00 to 17:00. The main entry includes a EUR 10 food voucher for selected local venues. Unconfirmed: final 2027 service locations/hours, dietary provision and individual assistance. Junior inclusions differ; use the junior entry conditions.

Junior results are described as alphabetical within classes, with a trophy for every participant rather than a ranked awards ceremony. Main-race awards generally require personal attendance in town. Conflicting sources: the race cutoff note allows later trophy collection after the awards, while the general awards text requires attendance. Confirm collection arrangements rather than relying on an exception.
