The organiser’s schedule and transport bulletin, both updated on 18 October 2026, agree with the 22 October entry page and its linked RaceResult event 431281 on the 2027 edition. Plan around separate Hiukkavaara and Sankivaara starts, the Ritaharju finish and Ouluhalli transport hub. Historical: the linked rules still explicitly name 28 February 2026 and were updated on 1 December 2025; they are not accepted here as current 2027 cancellation, illness or refund terms.
The current programme offers 56 km, 40 km and 25 km in both techniques. Unconfirmed: final snow-dependent alignment, measured ascent, the signed course and precise junction or aid locations are not established in this guide. No organiser course artwork is reproduced, and the venue point does not grant access to the course outside the event.
The 18 October information page lists on-course food and drink at roughly 7–15 km intervals, first-aid cover, showers at Ritaharju school, withdrawal transport to the stadium area, a finish meal, a retained bib and an equipment bag from the Ritaharju number-collection point. It lists medals for finishers, while another inclusion line qualifies completion within the time limit. Unconfirmed: the actual 2027 cut-off, exact aid menu and dietary provision, withdrawal pickup procedure and equipment-bag transfer chain are not established. Confirm arrangements appropriate to your distance and needs.

The organiser offers women’s and men’s classic and free-technique categories. At 56 km it lists main competition and recreational categories; at 40 km and 25 km it also lists an untimed touring category. Competition and recreational categories are timed; touring is untimed. RaceResult labels all three distances m/f, all ages. Unconfirmed: minimum-age, guardian, medical, licence and individual eligibility requirements for the 2027 edition are not established by that selector. Saturday offices are instead at Kanerva additional school, Tahtimarssi 7, for 56/25 km, and the Sankivaara biathlon-stadium café, Mikonmäentie 179, for 40 km; both list 08:00–11:00. The organiser and linked RaceResult event agree on the fee tiers: 56 km EUR 50 through 31 December 2026, EUR 70 from 1 January to 22 February 2027 and EUR 80 on 23–26 February; 40 km EUR 45/60/70 and 25 km EUR 35/43/50 across the same tiers. The organiser states that final registration ends at 18:00 on 26 February and that participant changes cost EUR 10. Conflicting sources: the information page starts the first tier on 1 October, while RaceResult starts it on 21 October 2026; both agree on the present amount and future tier boundaries. The blank booking form separately offers paid outward buses and states that return transport from Ritaharju to Ouluhalli is free. Unconfirmed: final transaction charges, remaining places and complete 2027 refund, transfer, cancellation and illness terms are not verified; the linked organiser rules still name the 2026 edition. The point uses the named OpenStreetMap building, © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. Unconfirmed: the precise 2027 finish gate, bus boarding position and accessible approach are not established. This is a venue planning reference, not a route or navigation map.
The current transport bulletin and blank booking form agree on departures from Ouluhalli, Ouluhallintie 20: classic buses at 08:00 to Hiukkavaaratalo for 56/25 km (EUR 5) and 08:15 to Sankivaara for 40 km (EUR 10); free-technique buses at 09:30 and 09:45 respectively. Reserve and pay for the outward journey during registration. Conflicting sources: the transport bulletin names Hiukkavaaratalo, while the start and Saturday office schedule names Kanerva additional school at Tahtimarssi 7. Unconfirmed: the walking or shuttle connection, journey duration and guaranteed arrival margin between those named points are not established. Confirm the actual drop-off and complete connection before relying on a bus.
The current bulletin lists free skier returns from Ritaharju Community Centre to Ouluhalli hourly at 13:30, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30. It lists parking at the Sankivaara biathlon stadium and the Hiukkavaaratalo skating field, with very limited Ritaharju parking. Unconfirmed: bus capacity, spectator eligibility, an individual guaranteed seat and return to a car left at Hiukkavaara or Sankivaara are not established. A bus to Ouluhalli is not a return to either starting base; plan that last connection and an alternative if finishing after 16:30.
