01 / EVENT OVERVIEW

What defines this edition.

Plan the changed main race in the French Jura: entry documents and dated fees, bib collection, road controls, baggage, safety and unresolved operational details. All times are local: Europe/Paris, CET, UTC+01:00. The wider race weekend is 13–14 February; this profile covers the Sunday main event. 01
Changed reference course, conditional final route

The current race page lists 50 km and 700 m of ascent between Lamoura and Les Rousses. These are organiser reference figures, not independently surveyed geometry. The rules allow a fallback course and say the route and go-ahead decision will be made ten days before the event. Unconfirmed: final 2027 geometry, feed-station locations, runner passing times and intermediate cutoffs are not established. No course artwork or GPX is reproduced here.

02
Finish closure is internally inconsistent

Conflicting sources: section 4.5 of the linked 2027 regulations gives a Sunday stadium closure no later than 18:45, while section 8.4 and the adaptive annex say 16:30. Those are not interchangeable finish guarantees. Intermediate barriers can change or be added for safety; obtain the final main-race cutoff instructions before starting.

03
Elite-line change requests have three deadlines

Conflicting sources: the current race page gives 30 January at midnight for elite-line requests; rule section 3.4 gives 31 January; annex 2 gives 28 January. Ask the competition director which applies and act before the earliest published date where possible. Ordinary race/racer changes separately require organiser agreement by 31 January; a bib is not freely transferable.

FORMATThe main Sunday race is 50 km freestyle, with classic technique permitted, from Lamoura to Les Rousses. The separate Saturday Classic 50, shorter races and tours belong to the wider 13–14 February weekend. UltraTrans combines the two main races; a single Sunday entry is not that combination.

The 2027 rules require entrants in the 50 km race to be at least 21 in the calendar year and hold an accepted current FIS/FFS title or specified national ski licence. Leisure/official FFS titles, the daily race ticket and the named Spanish, Andorran or Swiss licences require the current health questionnaire attestation or a medical certificate less than six months old. Other national licences are not automatically accepted. Check your exact document and title category in the rules before paying.

ON SITE

Official 2027 registration is linked. Unconfirmed: remaining capacity, accepted individual documents and final checkout charges have not been verified.

Online entries only. Select the Sunday main 50 km race and the correct licence/title category; the Saturday Classic 50, tours and UltraTrans are separate choices. Published entry includes timing, a finisher medal, feed stations, medical/security arrangements, technical assistance, ski storage and labelled baggage transport. Optional shuttles and the after-race meal are charged separately.. Checked 30 October 2026: the race page and 2027 tariff annex list EUR 78 with the stated FFS/FIS/Carte Neige title category or EUR 95 with the daily FFS participation title through 10 January 2027; EUR 93/110 on 11 January–9 February; EUR 133/150 on 10–13 February. The page lists a EUR 5 shuttle option and a EUR 16 participant/EUR 20 companion meal. Conflicting sources: the practical page closes meal changes on 8 February at 20:00, while rule section 3.7 gives 9 February at 20:00. Confirm title eligibility, extras and the final payable amount rather than treating these scoped figures as an unconditional offer.

04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS

The pin is not the gate.

The French government commune-centre point identifies Lamoura approximately. It is not the Combe du Lac start stadium, a parking space, entrance or accessible drop-off. The organiser lists the start at Combe du Lac in Lamoura and finish at Champs de Neige in Les Rousses. Follow the dated event traffic instructions for the actual approach.

The current practical page lists Morez railway station as a travel reference and a reserved race shuttle with stops at Morbier Les Marais, Morez station, Prémanon Centre/CNSNMM, Le Noirmont, Les Rousses tourist office and Lamoura FTTA/Tréchaumont. Unconfirmed: shuttle departures, final return trips, rail connections and remaining seats are unpublished or unverified. A stop list is not a connection; check the final booking and allow time for the approach.

For Sunday 14 February, the practical page lists Route du Lac and the Lajoux approach as closed, RD25 one-way from Lamoura toward Jacobeys and a diversion via Mijoux in the opposite direction. It permits right-side roadside parking on RD25 with about a 1 km walk to the start. Reserved race shuttles can reach Combe du Lac. Champs de Neige finish access is pedestrian only, with town parking including Tennis and Sapins. Follow final signs and marshals; generic roadside-parking wording does not override closures or grant a space.

The pages describe labelled clothing bags transported from Lamoura to Les Rousses and collected against the bib; the rules set a 20 kg maximum and exclude fragile-content responsibility. Return the ankle timing chip after finishing or withdrawing: an unreturned/lost/damaged chip is charged EUR 50. The optional meal is listed at Omnibus in Les Rousses; a bring-your-own-food room is also advertised.

The organiser links accommodation offices and names Intersport, 1127 Route Blanche, Les Rousses, for ski/boot/pole rental and preparation. Unconfirmed: rental stock, dated shop hours, accommodation availability, final spectator viewing points, toilets and individual assistance are not established by these general listings. Arrange the specific service before relying on it.

The adaptive annex admits visually impaired and standing athletes to the main Sunday race, but excludes seated sit-ski athletes from this race. Visually impaired athletes are assigned an early start 30 minutes before the elite line; standing athletes use the ordinary allocation criteria. The Saturday Classic 50 and shorter races have different seated-athlete rules. Unconfirmed: step-free access, accessible shuttles, toilets, assistance and each athlete’s exact start arrangement need individual confirmation; category eligibility is not an accessible transfer guarantee.
