01 / EVENT OVERVIEW
What defines this edition.
Plan the two bases separately: the long race begins by Sørkedalen Idrettsforening, while the shorter options use Holmenkollen National Arena. All times are local Europe/Oslo, UTC+01:00 on race day. Registration is open through the organiser’s linked EQ Timing page, with four named 2027 products.
The organiser describes 52 km with 1,020 m ascent and 854 m descent, beginning by Sørkedalen Idrettsforening and finishing at Holmenkollen National Arena. The route passes Heggelivann, Storflåtan, Langlia, Fyllingen, Kobberhaughytta and Tryvann. It includes frozen-lake sections and technical descents. Follow the authorised race route and current safety decisions; the description is not permission for independent lake travel.
The published 29 km course has 702 m ascent and 701 m descent; the 17 km course has 435 m ascent and 434 m descent. Both start and finish at Holmenkollen. The youth and recreational 17 km products share a course. The organiser describes steep early climbing and narrow or technical sections; no universal ease rating is assigned.
Unconfirmed: the final 2027 alignment, marking, controlled lake crossings, exact aid provision and changes for weather or snow. Course descriptions name refreshment stops, while the race-day drinking-stations section still says information is coming. Use the linked course pages for updates; no operator map artwork or GPX is copied or embedded.
The organiser lists the 52 km Holmenkollmarsjen, 29 km Halvmarsjen, 17 km Ungdomsmarsjen for ages 13–16 and 17 km Turmarsjen for those over 16, timed without ranking. Unconfirmed: final 2027 minimum ages for the two longer distances, age calculation, class rules, capacity, qualification and individual accessible participation. Check the applicable entry category before paying.

Listed bib collection and race office
The organiser lists Skiforeningens klubbhus, Kongeveien 5, the black building behind the stadium. Bring the emailed start card; collection for another skier requires their card too. The same office hours are listed for Friday 19 February.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Race day · four entry products
Unconfirmed: start times, wave allocation, final check-in, all cutoff times and the finish deadline. The actual start section says more information is coming; Fyllingen, Frønsvollen and finish cutoff fields have no times.Saturday, February 20, 2027
Race-day office opening requires correction
Conflicting sources: the event homepage confirms 20 February 2027, but the bib section still labels its race-day office paragraph Saturday 14 February. That paragraph gives Sørkedalsveien 1064 from 06:30 and the Holmenkollen press centre at Kongeveien 5 from 08:00. Confirm the correct edition and opening times before relying on them.03 / TICKETS & BROADCAST
Attend with the live instructions.
Registration is listed as open. The organiser’s linked EQ Timing page identifies the 52 km, 29 km and two 17 km products as the 2027 edition. Read the current entry conditions and choose the correct category before paying.
52 km Holmenkollmarsjen; 29 km Halvmarsjen; 17 km Turmarsjen and 17 km Ungdomsmarsjen. Race entry and ski licence are separate. A transfer must go through the official process; do not race under another person’s bib.. The pin is not the gate.
This reference uses the licensed photograph’s camera coordinates at Holmenkollbakken. It locates the Holmenkollen venue context, not the cross-country start/finish, an accessible entrance or the separate Sørkedalen start. The organiser gives Kongeveien 5 for the Holmenkollen race office and Sørkedalsveien 1064 for the Sørkedalen office.
The organiser recommends metro line 1 to Holmenkollen, then about ten minutes on foot to the arena or five minutes to VM-plassen for the Sørkedalen shuttle. It lists limited parking and steward-controlled drop-off. Unconfirmed: the final 20 February metro timetable, last departures, accessible transfer and each traveller’s complete return. Check Ruter and arrange a contingency; an ordinary route reference is not a guaranteed race-day service.
The race-day page lists a VM-plassen–Sørkedalen shuttle from 06:30, roughly every 20 minutes or when full, about 20 minutes in transit and NOK 100 via registration or the office. It also describes extra Ruter departures from Røa between 06:30 and 09:30, on a separate ticket. Unconfirmed: the final 2027 departure plan and capacity. The organiser explicitly excludes a post-race return bus to Sørkedalen; do not leave a vehicle there without a separate return plan.
One labelled bag from Sørkedalen to Holmenkollen is listed as included; shorter-distance bags are left by the Holmenkollen start. Storage is outdoors and at the skier’s risk; keep valuables with you and show the bib to collect a bag. The organiser describes heated changing tents at Holmenkollen and indoor changing before the Sørkedalen start. Unconfirmed: final 2027 service hours, step-free routes, individual assistance and equipment storage arrangements.
After finishing, the organiser describes a medal, refreshments and separate food sales. Unconfirmed: final dietary provision, awards times and prize amounts; several prize fields are blank. Historical: the summer venue photograph shows the jumping bowl, not the cross-country race or its winter layout.
