01 / EVENT OVERVIEW

What defines this edition.

This guide focuses on the two 50 km races. All times are Gatineau local time, America/Toronto (UTC−05:00). Current race pages confirm the dates and starts, but older map and guide material remains online; recheck final instructions before travel.

Cross-country skiing
01
Official map has an earlier-edition scope

The current classic-race page still embeds a map named 50-km-2025.jpg, showing P17, service points and the Mont-Bleu finish. Its linked GPS route is titled GL 50km 2025 and could not be inspected beyond an access check. These are previous-edition references, not verification of the final 2027 alignment.

02
Terrain and race cut-offs

The current classic page gives a 13:45 cut-off at 30 km; the current freestyle page gives 13:30 there. Skiers missing the relevant limit must stop and follow staff instructions. Confirm these limits and the final route before starting.

FORMAT50 km classic on Saturday and 50 km freestyle on Sunday, with timed waves and a non-timed discovery wave. The wider festival runs 19–21 February and offers shorter races and a two-day 100 km challenge.

The organiser describes both 50 km races as suitable for intermediate skiers and above, aged at least 16. Confirm the licence and seeding requirements for your category; no final 2027 start list has been verified.

Separate 50 km classic, 50 km freestyle and combined entries; shorter races have their own categories. An entry is not a general park pass or equipment rental.. 04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS

The pin is not the gate.

Race hub and kit collection: 389 boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau. The 50 km races start separately at P17 in La Pêche; all participants must use the organiser bus. This pin identifies neither that start nor an accessible entrance.

The 50 km bus leaves Mont-Bleu at 07:30 for wave A, 07:35 for B, 07:45 for C and 07:50 for D/discovery. This mandatory start transfer is separate from the 19–21 February 2027 Château Cartier–Mont-Bleu hotel shuttle.

The organiser lists limited parking at CÉGEP de l’Outaouais, 333 boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 7A. Follow local signs. Individual step-free access, adapted start transport and spectator arrangements have not been verified; ask the organiser before booking.

The current registration policy closes online entries on 15 February 2027 at 23:59 and allows on-site entry subject to availability. It states no refunds or deferrals, including event cancellation. Optional purchase protection does not cover cancellation of the event.

Online race changes are described as possible until 14 days before the event, subject to capacity and possible fees. The policy permits person-to-person transfers until 11 January 2027 but retains an old year label; confirm this directly. Never simply exchange bibs.

The skier page gives Sunday kit collection ending at both 12:00 and 13:30 and disagrees with race pages about the bag-storage room. New 10 km classic and 15 km freestyle races are advertised but absent from its detailed start table. Obtain final instructions rather than choose between conflicting listings.
