01 / EVENT OVERVIEW

What defines this edition.

Mont Lachaux and Nationale are the advertised competition slopes, sharing the Barzettes finish stadium. The organiser allocates women’s speed races and both slaloms to Mont Lachaux, and men’s speed races and both giant slaloms to Nationale. These controlled elite venues are separate from public skiing and from the resort’s World Cup editions.

01
Training and qualification are separate

Women’s downhill training is listed on 2, 3 and 5 February; men’s on 3, 4 and 6 February. Qualification runs on 10–13 February. These are not additional world titles or general public entries. Unconfirmed: final accepted fields, training access, course configurations and race-day changes are not established; do not use this programme as a route or access permit.

02
Choose the access zone first

Barzettes grandstands and the associated village are pedestrian areas. Vermala is also pedestrian access, is unavailable on 1 February and is unsuitable for people with reduced mobility. The 2006 and Houlès zones require ski access plus a separately purchased valid lift pass; their advertised days are 4/6/9 and 5/7/10 February respectively. No organiser course or seating artwork is reproduced.

03
Standard-ticket conditions

The linked standard terms dated 10 December 2025 make tickets date-specific, allow no customer exchange/cancellation or no-show refund, and provide conditional cancellation refunds within 60 days when no official ranking exists. Postponement validity depends on whether another race already occupies the new date; exceptions and travel-cost exclusions apply. VIP and Music Hall contracts are separate, and the French original prevails. Read the complete terms before purchase.

05
Public skiing remains a separate operation

The lift operator’s championship plan reserves Mont-Lachaux (6) and Nationale (12) for races from 25 January to 15 February, with intermittent Bellalui (8) training use. It advertises sector diversions through tunnels under Nationale and via Col du Pochet. Unconfirmed: final diversion availability and actual public skiing remain subject to the operator’s current conditions; this future plan is not an opening report or a navigation route.

Ycoor and its opening ceremony are free; the finish stadium is ticketed. Unconfirmed: remaining inventory, final checkout total and the promised official resale channel are not established; the checked shop showed no daily ticket for 7 February, which does not mean the race is cancelled.

04 / SPECTATOR ACCESS

The pin is not the gate.

The OSM-derived town reference is not a stadium entrance, course, parking place or accessible route. Use the organiser’s signed access for your purchased zone.

The organiser recommends rail to Sierre, then free funicular or official shuttles on race days, with direct shuttles advertised to Barzettes and Vermala. It lists no general spectator parking in Crans-Montana: use Sierre; Barzettes road access is restricted to authorised vehicles. Its return plan advertises continuous services after races, funicular operation until midnight on race days and local buses until midnight daily. Unconfirmed: exact departure/last-connection times, parking prices/reservations and the planned extra SBB trains remain unpublished; check the complete outward and return journey before booking.

Conflicting sources: the checked ticket product describes free race-day transport between Sierre/Sion and Crans-Montana, while the dedicated mobility page specifies Sierre–Crans-Montana. This guide relies only on that common Sierre scope and does not promise a free Sion transfer. The restrictions page lists Barzettes–Aminona closures on 1–14 February at 06:00–15:00, subject to change, and Plumachit/Nationale at 06:00–16:00 with future short exceptions and badge details. Do not assume a ticket permits vehicle access.

The organiser asks people with a permanent disability and one companion to request limited Barzettes places by 30 November 2026 at sustainability@cransmontana2027.ch, with supporting identification; it advertises 50% entry reductions for both. Wheelchair parking at Violettes also needs a reserved World Championships badge by that deadline. The approximately 500 m approach is sloped and vehicles cannot approach the stadium. Only the funicular is identified as wheelchair accessible; accessible toilets and card-only food stands are advertised. The listed giant screens have no subtitles and the event site is cashless. Unconfirmed: your allocated place, assistance, snow-free/sloped approach and a usable return transfer require individual confirmation; no capacity or fully step-free journey is guaranteed.
